Kravoli's LCF program

07-12-2003, 13:44
Kravoli is not an aggresssive nation or one with a good economy, but it is one that realises that without decent defenses it will be swamped by larger more aggresive nations.

We have realised that to defend ourselves we need military capability, using convention tactics this would involve massive military spending and budgets, draining the economy, Kravoli has overcome with problem with a program called LCF(low cost fighter).

The first generation of LCF is nothing spectacular, but as the programs goes on the planes will keep a very low cost, low build time and high efficency rating.

The first generation LCF is designated
K-LCF001
TYPE: Low Cost Area Defense Aircraft
POWERPLANTS: 2x Kravoli Air Dry Thrust Turbojets(K-TJ17a) each rated at 1,731Lbs
Armaments: 2x 30mm Single barrel cannon with 250rounds each + Upto 2 Short range radar guided AAM's
Performance: Max Speed: 570MPH
Cruise Speed: 429MPH
Duration: 20 Combat Minutes
Weights: Empty: 8,531lb
Normal Load: 11,123lb
Dimentions: Span: 50ft
Length: 23ft
Height: 9ft
COST: 2.3Million

Advanatges:
The low purchase and low operational cost of this aircraft allows any country to have a large number of combat ready aircraft avaible at any time and not have to worry about large replacment costs if 1 is lost, with a price of just 2.3Million this aircraft is around 1/30 of the price of other combat aircraft.

The use of non strategic materials (Wood is used for all but the central section, aproximatly 50% of the aircraft is made of wood) allows them to be replaced even when industry has come to a near complete hault, Wood has very good stealth characteristics and using a special carbon paint allows the aircraft to be a very stealthy aircraft.

The aircraft has a very specific role(Area defense) which is a relatibly new role for aircraft, The role is one where to aircraft in strategic location (civil airports, private homes) and only used when a real combat situation arises or exercises. The aircraft is very easy to use, so easy in fact that the general public can be issued with aircraft to cover a larger combat area faster.

If your after a multipurpose aircraft non of the LCF aircraft will be what you want, but if your after an effective defensive aircraft without the cost of high performance aircraft LCF is for you.

Interesting, hired some ex-Nazi's to build your plane?
Everyone did that after WWII.

Based on a Gotha 229 ...

ELECTRONICS:
The K-LCF001 is equiped with a low power radar with a range of 23km. While not much it is more than the 17km range of it's short range AAM's. The radar can only lock 1 target at a time and lock must be maintained for the missile to properly intercept the target.

A flare/chaff dispenser is added with 12 flares/chaffs to defens against missiles. A ZERO/ZERO ejection seat protects the pilot from injury and all pilots are instructed to eject and accept the lose of the plane even before missile impact (only when hit is iminent).

No other ECM are included to keep cost down.

If you need any help with development of electronics, we can assist.

The airforce has received it's first squardon of the K-LCF001. A group of 20 is now based at the International airport in Kravoli(Capital city), They will work with current defenses to provide air cover for the city.

Each battle ready k-LCF001 costs only $5Million fully loaded with fuel and weapons. This is a tiny price to pay for the defense they provide.

As part of the LCF program Kravoli has come up with the K-AAM1, while still at prototype stage we hope it will be as much as 20% cheaper to build and run than foreign missile while keeping a same level of effeciency.

Not much to look at now, We will continue to develop this missile until we have an effective cheap missile to use with LCF aircraft.

You can buy P-51, A-4, F-86, or MiG-15 for less, and they do more. 20 minutes!!!! are you kidding!!!!!

Yes you can buy them, not not many and if you try to build them the cost is WAY WAY over 2.3million.

These aircraft are DEFENSIVE, 20minutes is more than enough for a DEFENSE.

And those aircraft stealth? Hell no
Can they use public roads as runways? Probably not
Are they 5Million combat ready? Absolutly not

For an unstated reason the K-LCF001 program has been grounded and all production on the K-LCF001 has been stopped.

K-LCF2
TYPE: Low Cost Area Defense Aircraft
POWERPLANTS: 2x Kravoli Air Dry Thrust Turbofans(K-TF27b) each rated at 2,831Lbs
Armaments: Upto 3 Short range AAM's
Performance: Max Speed: 691MPH
Cruise Speed: 599MPH
Duration: 30 Combat Minutes
Weights: Empty: 7,931lb
Normal Load: 10,503lb
Dimentions: Span: 50ft
Length: 23ft
Height: 9ft
COST: 2.2Million
Combat Ready: 5Million

This is the second aircraft design built under the LCF program, this aircraft is a revised version of the first aircraft LCF001.

The main improvements are:
New engines- The engines used in this model provide a 63.5% increase in thurst while using the same amount of fuel(Old turbojets are gone, in place are highly efficient turbofans)
Lighter Weight- The weight of the aircraft has been reduced by 600lbs, leading to shorter takeoff and better manuverability.
Longer Endurance- A 50% endurance increase allows the aircraft to fly further and have more time in combat.
Improved Weaponry- An extra missile slot is now avaible giving the craft greater survivability.
