Pulling up in front if the house Jade allowed her self a yawn. It was getting rather later, Her and Calnux had gone out for a night on the town. It had been the first time out since the birth of their second child Jason. The couple had decided to take the evening off, and relax. The night had started out with a movie, then followed by dinner. Nothing special, but the two had enjoyed the quiet time away from the kids, they had left the kids at home with a baby sitter. However, Jade found it nice to be home again, she missed her kids.
While they where getting out of the car she noticed something didn’t seem right, all they lights in the house where off, they kids would be in bed by now, but the baby sitter would still be moving around the house, or even watching television. But she put it out of her mind, until they reached the door. It was slightly open, as if someone had left is a rush, and forgot to close it on the way out. Calnux and her exchanged glances, both now knew that something was wrong here. Reaching down to her hip, she moved her shirt to the side and drew her side arm. Even though she was no longer an agent, some habits are hard to get rid of.
With her gun drawn she stepped through the door. “Marina, you there.” She paused for a moment waiting for a response, but none came. Her thoughts jumped to her two children sleeping up stairs. Quietly she spoke to Calnux. “I’m going to go up and check on the kids, you take a look down here. Be careful.”
The two went their separate ways. Fortunately the stairs leading up stair was located near the main entrance. With her gun pointed up the stairs she made her way up, her senses where on high alert, looking for anything, and everything. Moving like a cat hunting it prey she was up the stairs quickly, and quietly. The house was covered and darkness shadows where everywhere. She had to know if her children where ok, ignoring he own personal safety she made her way down the hallway, only glancing in to the other rooms as she made her way down. If anyone had been waiting there for an ambush, she would have been an easy target. She paused at the children’s door, she wasn’t sure if she was ready to see what was on the other side.
Using her free hand she reached down of the handle. In one quick motion she pushed the door open, and with her other hand she moved her gun side to side, looking for any potential targets. For a moment she could feel her heart stop as she soon realized that the room, which once held her children, was now empty. Within moment the tears where now coming to her eye’s when she realized the severity of the situation, someone had taken her children. Through the darkness she could she an envelope lying on Mak’s pillow. Without hesitation she reached over and grabbed it. There was a name written on it, the new was written in big black letter. CALNUX.
She yelled out to her husband. “Cal, get up here quick”
Calnux heard his wife yell his name, and he thought the worse. As he ran up the stairs, he ran into the room. He saw Jade sitting on the bed holding an envelope with his name written on it. Taking it from her, he opened it hastely. The paper inside said,
"When we got here, your babysitter was asleep. Mak and Jason where also asleep, but in their rooms. We woke up Marina, and told her to go home. Tell me Calnux, why haven't you spoken to your own parents in 130 years? You are a rather hard person to track down. We have Mak and Jason, and no they aren't hurt. We aren't THAT barbaric as to hurt our own grandchildren. You know where we live. Come see us."
Calnu dropped the letter, and sat next to Jade. Putting his arm around her, he whispered to her,
"My parents. They came here and took them. They want us to go see them. I'm guessing that Blay told them where we are. We need to go, now."
Calnux got up and walked into his room. He pulled a suitcase and his travel bag from the closet. Pulling clothes from his dresser, he started crying.
"I've been so close to forgeting about them, and now this. Will they never leave me alone?"
_____________________________________________________________
Looking at his watch, Bracada motioned for the driver to head home.
"It's about time they got home. Hope they find our letter suprise. I pray they arent' too upset with us."
Bracada looked over at Mak, who was staring back at him.
"Can you say Grandpa Mak? I'm your dads father."
Mak just stared at him blankly. Jason had fallen asleep long ago.
Reaching for Calnux’s shoulders she gave her husband a bit of shake. She kneeled down beside him “I need you to get it together.” Her training had taught her how to present a calm exterior, in the face danger. However, despite her appearance deep down she was more scared then she ever had been. But she knew better then anyone, now was not the time to lose control, both of them had to keep it together.
Calmly she spoke to her husband “Don’t worry about packing for the moment. You said that your parents have Mak, and Jay, are the kids going to be safe? Do we need help on this?” Now there was a panic in her voice. All Jade would have to do is call her father and the entire country would be locked down, but it might still be to late, even for that.
She knew some of Calnux past, probably as much as he did about hers; it wasn’t something that the two talked about. However, what she did know caused her to worry.
“Talk to me, I need to know what’s going on here. If you want to go after them I can have a frog hopper here in five minutes”
Looking to his wife, he saw fear in her for the first time since she had been shot.
"The children should be safe. My father knows I will kill him if I have to, if I need to. When I left, I was stronger then him. Odds are that is no longer true, but if I'm fighting for my family, I'll fight till I can no longer move. You need to get packed. We are going for a little rid. If you want, call your dad and tell him we are taking the children on holiday, but do not tell him what has happened. The last thing we need is for anyone to know the situation."
Calnux turned around and continued packing his bags.
_____________________________________________________________
As the car came to a stop, the door opened and Mak woke up. She looked around for her mother and father, but no sign of them. She was scared, and wanted to be held. She got her wish. This man that claimed to be her grand father picked her up, and carried her inside, while another man picked up Jason and followed him. Mak had never seen this place before, and got more scared. She started crying.
"Mommy! I want my mommy!"
The old man carrying Mak patted her back, and told her,
"It's ok Makenze. Mommy and daddy will be here shortly. In the mean time, why don't you take a nap? These next few days will be rough."
Desperately she wanted to call her father he had resources that they could use. However, she had realized that this was Calnux family, and his call. She let out a bit of sigh. “Alright, it your call. We’ll do it as you want.” This was something that they would have to do together, he would need her support.
It wasn’t long until they where packed and on the road. While blankly staring out the window Jade recalled a conversation that she had with her mother long ago. Jade had been shot in an assassination attempt, she recovered, her mother said that almost losing child was the worst thing that any parent could go through. During that conversation she told her mother that she had understood what they had gone through, but it wasn’t until today that she truly understood the meaning of those words.
Her mind was a flurry of activity; she was trying to play out every possible scenario, no matter how bad it was. However, there was something that didn’t add up.
“Cal, how did they find us.” They had gone to great length to remain hidden from their pasts. “You haven’t talked to them in like ever. The best intelligence agency in the world couldn’t track us down. How did they find us?”
Calnux hadn't thought about that. How did they find us? If Heskel and his intel couldn't find us, there was no way anyone could.
"Blay perhaps? I mean, after the mission with Heskel, she stayed with us for about 3 months, then went back. Maybe she told them. I mean, she has almost every reason. I kicked her out without a reason. I was sick of her cramping my life, telling me I was a p*ssy for running. I got sick of her. Maybe this is her payback. I guess we will find out in a few hours."
Calnux looked at his watch. It would be another 6 hours before they got to his fathers.
"Why don't you try and get some sleep hun? I'll wake you when we get to the border."
_____________________________________________________________
As the aging man spoke to his wife, he seemed to be a little nervous.
"If Calnux is doing what I think he is, he should be here within a few hours. How are the children?"
The wife looked to be about 70ish, with greying hair. She had a hard look to her, like a women in control. You could tell she ran the house, by the way everyone acted around her.
"He hasn't changed in the last 130 years. He is on his way, I can feel it. The children are asleep. Jason woke up earlier, so I gave him a bottle. Mak has been sleeping, but she is moving around a lot. Nightmares I suppose."
Pulling her gun out from the holster she pushed a button causing the clip to slide out. Quickly she checked to see how many rounds where in the clip. “It could be Blay, she didn’t leave on good terms.” She slid the clip back in the gun. “But if anyone so much as harms a single hair on our children’s head, I will unleash furry the likes of which the world has never seen” With her free hand she reached over the top of the gun and pulled it back chambering a round. “Family or not.”
After putting her gun back in the holster she reached down and pulled a lever causing the back of her chair to lean back. Cal was right she would need her rest in the coming hours.
Calnux heard Jade sleeping. It wasn't a peaceful sleep. How could it be? He looked ahead, and saw the border portrol. He knew this would be the tricky part. He pushed Jade a little and told her they were at the border.
He pulled up and rolled down the window, and a tall muscular man came to. He was armed with an MP5, which was uncommon for Jifug. The man asked what business they had, and Calnux responded, handing over their passports.
"We are going on holiday. My parents asked us to come see them."
"Who are your parents?" the man asked, looking over the documents.
"Bracada and Linud Uhnan." he said, gulping nervously.
The mans eyes shot up, and looked deep into Calnux's eyes.
"Welcome home Calnux." the man answered, handing back the papers and waving to open the gate. As they drove on, Jade looked a little confused.
"That was Hunad Yhunt. He and I trained together for some time. He was my best friend, and he supported my ideas of non-violence."
As they drove on, Calnux ran through things that could happen, none of which were good.
_____________________________________________________________
Bracada heard the noise of a car engine, and knew it was Calnux and Jade. Hearing a knock on the door, he went to answer it. Opening the door, he saw it was Redia and Likju. Inviting them in, he asked what they wanted.
"Just wanted to report and tell you Calnux just pasted the border. Estimated time for them to get here is 24 minutes sir."
"Very good, now leave." Bracada said in a deep harsh tone. Calnux was behind schedule....
Feeling a gentle nudge Jade opened her eyes. To begin with everything was a bit out focus, but soon everything came in to view. She could her Calnux talking to someone, looking around she realized that they where at the border. Security was rather tight, she though for sure that they would have problems getting in. She listen into the conversation between the boarder guard an Cal, and it wasn’t long until they where on there way again. It had been a long day and thing where rather perplexing at the moment, she looked over at Calnux looking for an explanation.
Looking over at her he could see what she was thinking, "That was Hunad Yhunt. He and I trained together for some time. He was my best friend, and he supported my ideas of non-violence." She gave Calnux a smile; he could always tell what was on her mind.
“You sure that we shouldn’t call my father, the guards at the board looked rather armed.” She didn’t want to push the issue, but feared for her children. If they got into trouble, they’d be on their own.
Looking out the window she found the scenery relaxing. They where now driving in the mountains. But these mountains where unlike most she had seen, luscious green grass made it’s way up the mountain almost all the way to the top, but stop short just before the peak to revile a grey rock extending into the sky. On some peaks she could make out snow that had settled. There was something was peaceful about this land.
This would have been a good place to bring the kids camping. The thought caused her eyes to fill with tears. “Cal, I just want them back” She couldn’t take the not knowing any more. All she wanted was to know that her children where ok.

OOC: yeah I got it. just let me know what you want to do. We got one more post then we'll pause until I here back from you.
IC:
Calnux Looked over at her and could see that finally things where really hitting her hard.
“It’s ok, try to get some more rest we’ll be there soon.”
They had been through many things the two of them, and they had gotten through it, why should this be any different.
Taking a deep breath she tried to pull herself together. Not much was said for the rest of the trip.
They drove for about three hours, Jade wasn’t sure where they where going, or even where they were for that matter. But Calnux seemed to know. He slowed the car down and turned on to a dirt road. From there they traveled down the road until they came to an estate.
They pulled up to the main gate. She couldn’t see the house from where they were, it was hidden behind a giant stone wall the stood at least 18 feet in the air, and went down quite a ways. There was a number of armed guards at the main entrance, From what she could tell they were fully armed, and wearing body armour. She reached for her gun as one of the guards came to the window, but even before Calnux had rolled the window down the guard motioned for them to proceed, the main gates quickly opened. Without hesitation Calnux drove through them.
She didn’t like this “It would appear that we were expected”.
Some were off in the distance she could see a mansion, it was located in what could only be described as a giant park.
As they drove down a windy path they could see massive rows of trees, large open fields, and the occasional garden. The view was absolutely stunning. However, Jades trained eye could see past it all.
Hidden in the grass she could see laser sensor to track movement. There were 5X3 patched of grass that where a different colour then the rest, and the grass around it looked like a bunch of people had walked around, which could indicate that there was an underground tunnel network. Hidden in the tree’s she could see men with guns waiting to strike if need be.
As they neared the house there was a giant water fountain. The house it’s self was huge, it was little brown in colour, and concrete pillars could be seen jetting out of the wall. They where needed to support the roof. The copper roof, which originally had been red in colour, had turned in to a pale green from years of exposure. In addition she could see a number of statues located of the roof. The building it’s self was seven stories tall. They had parked at the main entrance, there was a flight of stair leading up to the main door, above the door was a circular window with pained glass showing a figure, she wasn’t sure who the figure was though.
She took a quick survey of the area. Again there where a number of arm guards making their patrol routes, some of them had dogs. On the side of the build she could see searchlights, as well as motion sensors. On the roof she could she men with high calibre machine guns, as well as sniper rifle. This place is more of a fort then a mansion she thought to her self.
Letting out a sigh she looked over at Calnux “Have I said that I don’t like this.” She thought to herself for a moment “Ok lets do this.”
OOC: VERY nice!
IC:
As the couple walked up to the door, Calnux saw a team of threee guards coming up to them. He knew they had orders not to shoot them, so when they came up to them, Calnux walked past them, ignoring them. As a guard grabbed his shoulder, he turned around and connected his elbow to the guards jaw. As he fell, the other two guards pointed their weapons at Calnux. He just walked up to them, putting the muzzle up to his chest.
"If you are going to shoot me, then shoot. You won't, because you know you will die if you do!" he screamed.
He spun around and kicked on of the guards in the chest. As the other lowered his weapon, he walked off.
When they go to the door, Calnux walked in and found his father sitting in a chair. Bracada just sat there, waiting for his son to say the first words.
"Why father? Why did you do that?" he said, his cheeks red from the cold.
"Now now, come in. Sit down, and warm up. Your children are fine."
Looking back at Jade, Calnux walked around the corner into the family room, where Mak and Jason lay sleeping. Calnux sat next to Mak, and placed her head on his lap. Looking at Jade, he motioned her to sit.
"They are fine. Let them sleep though. I'm sure they had an adventurous day." he said, looking at his father.
"Where is mother?" Calnux asked, speaking softly.
"She is in the kitchen. You know how she is at reunions, always making food."
"We aren't here for food, you know that."
Bracada got up and walked to the fire place, putting more wood in.
"Tell me son, how long has it been since you faught? 5 years, since the incident with Jade being shot? Perhaps it has been 3 years, since that mission with Blay going to Iaceo. Oh, you didn't go with her, I forgot. How are your skills? They still above everyone else?"
Calnux, unsure of where this is heading answered his father honestly.
"I haven't faught anyone in almost 4 years, since a man tried to assault Jade. I train everyday. You know that is part of us all. I don't like to fight, and you know that."
Walking around the room, his father looked at the ground and nodded.
"Fair enough I suppose. I'm guessing you have a lot of questions for me. Go ahead, ask."
Bracada stopped walking, and looked back and forth from Jade to Calnux.
Jade was the first to break the silence.
“Why?” there was a fire in her voice. She wanted to doing more then to reach out and rip the man to pieces for what he had done to her and her family. But for Calnux’s sake she had resisted, so far. “You obviously knew where we where, so why to go through all the trouble. Why not just stop in and say hello.” shaking her head she continued "Speaking of which, how the hell did you find us anyways. We went to great length to stay hidden." She looked around the room.
By this point she was angry and was going to hold nothing back. “I think that you just wanted to be in a position of control. “Out here with all you security, you’re the one calling the shots aren’t you.” Her children were safe, for that much she knew, but now her family was in a unsafe area. Jade didn’t know all the variable to the equation, for the moment they were all trapped here.

OOC: here it goes
IC: Kym Jye Hyung gazed at the two people that had just entered the room. He had never seen these two before, but should he have? He walked out from his place behind the curatains and leant up against the wall to make sure the two knew he was in the room.
He put his hand into his pocket and touched his weapon. It always seemed to reassure him.
As he observed the two people, he noted a few things. They were possibly a couple, Both in top condition, and both moved as if they had once been conditioned very thoroughly.
The man suddenly looked at him, noting his presence. Kym Smiled at the man and ten at the women who became aware of him as well. they then continued to speak with his patron. He was just there to watch.

OOC: Ok, hold on
Walking around the room, the elderly man shook his head.
"Why? WHY?!" he said raising his voice.
"Is it not right for a grandfather to want to see his grand childern?"
Calnux looked up at his father, hate filling his eyes.
"You come after MY children, but you don't come after me? Hypocrite."
Calnux stroked his daughters hair, comforting her.
Bracada walked to the window, and looked out, seeing the snow fall.
"It looks as if we will have all night to speak about this. You asked how I found you, and now I will tell you."
Calnux looked at Jade, fearful of what was about to unravel.
"As I'm sure you know, your sister came to us, after you so rudely exiled her from your house. She came to us, asking for shelter. As any loving parent would, we opened our house to her again, on one condition: She faught. You know, Calnux, better then anyone, that this family has a reputation to uphold. So, tournament came around. Low and behold, she is matched against no other then the house of Pliner. First watch, Dosan of Pliner, kicked Blay in her throat. Everyone saw what happened. You could tell it was no accident. Blay lay there, gasping for air. In her last breathe, she told us your address. Simple enough. Your sister died that night, right there in my arms."
Bracada kneeled down and put his arms out. You could tell it hurt him to speak of this past.
"We didn't know when we could do it, but you couldn't be there. We knew you would kill us. You hate this life, much more then we hate you for leaving it. You were a great fighter, and could have gone on to life a better life then what you have now. You ask how? I tell you. Your sister betrayed your trust."
Calnux just sat there, shocked at the fact his sister is dead, and the fact that she would do such a thing. Look at his wife, he had no words...
The news hit Jade hard, despite every that had happened between her and Blay, she owed Blay a lot. Blay had helped her and her country out in time of need, something that could not be forgotten, her team would also take the news rather hard. It appeared the her husband had also taken the news rather hard, He had always tried to protect both Blay and her.
She looked over at Calnux father, there where some things she wanted cleared up. “Are you saying that someone intently killed Blay, and the only reason why you took the kids was to bring us here.”
ooc: this has been worked out over AIM
ic:
Bracada went and sat down in his chair.
“You must be Jade, Blay told us so much about you. I must say that I’m rather impressed, your reputation as warrior proceeds you.” There was a smile on his face, he enjoyed knowing more about his opponents then they did about him. “You must have quiet a spirit to settle down with my son.”
All this was annoying Jade, he had yet to answer her question. “For the moment, I’m not the issue, I asked you a question, now answer it!” She felt that there was no time for little conversation “Right now, I could careless about you.”
He let out a bit of a chuckle. “Your rather direct, and not scared of much are you.” He gave her a smile “But you’re right I haven’t answered your question. Before I can, I would ask for your patients, please have a seat Jade.”
Reluctantly Jade took her seat. Once Bracada was sure the she wouldn’t interrupt he continued. “Now Jade you must understand that our country is rule by the elite upper class, called the Houses. The Houses run the country much like your Tribunal in your countries early days. I run house Uhnan, we are one of the oldest houses. The great Houses for the most part get along, but sometimes feuds erupt between two Houses. For many generation the House Pliner has been jealous over are power.” He glaced over at Calnux “You see when Calnux turned on us long ago, the other House thought that we where weak, and unable to defend ourselves. House Pliner was the first to challenge our power, and for a time war broke out, but we easily defeated them. They’ve been bitter from that day on. When Blay returned here home our enemies saw it as chance to get retribution. That why when Dosan had the chance he killed Blay, I fear that war again could start between to two Houses. However, I’m getting old, and can no longer take my place on the battlefield. House Pline knew that should I fall there is no longer a Uhnan heir as long as Calnux is gone. We are coming on to dark times, I’ve even had to hire a security advisor” He pointed at a man in the corner “That is my security advisor Kym Jye Hyung. “These are different time, with different weapons.” He let out a sigh “Calnux if you don’t come back house Uhnan WILL fall.”
Jade looked over at Cal, she wasn’t sure if what the old man was telling her was true, she looked over at the one person who could, her husband. “Well?”
Looking at his father, Calnux let out a sigh.
Looking at his wife, Calnux spoke.
"Everything that he says is true."
Calnux spoke, looking at the man he used to call father.
"WHy should I care if the house falls or not? You never listened to me as a child, so why should I listen to you now? You always told me my life was in the ring, or in the battle field. I've lived a very good life now. I fight when I must protect those I love, and I'm fine with that. Give me a few good reasons why I should return back here."
Bracada stood from his chair, every one know could see in the anger in his expression “Why.. why you ask, how about your duty to your family, and to your country. If our House is to fall it will rip this country to pieces. They Killed your Sister, doesn’t that mean anything to you. Besides, how do you that they will stop with me.” He looked over at Jade and the kids. “As long as you are out there, there is a chance that you might return, you don’t think that they would come after you and your family. As long as you are alive they are a threat to you and your family, if we could get to you, then so could they. like it or not you and your children and the rightful heirs to house Uhnan.”
"Just a minute." She was rather confused about every thing that is going on "Are you telling me the our children are the heirs to all this." With both Calnux parents and her it would seem that her children all ready had their futures planned out"
Bracada sat back down and adressed her question "Yes, yes I am"
She looked over at Calnux why hadn't he told her of this.
"I don't want my childern raised the way I did. I want nothing more of this life. Our life is good. The only way you got to us old man, is because a sister broke a trust. If she is dead, is it for the better. Had she not died, I would kill her now for telling you. I told you that day I left, I bisowned myself from this family. I want nothing from you, nor does my family."
Calnux stands from his seat, and walks outside. A few of the guards start walking to him, and he motions them to stay back. As they back off, he lights up a cigarette. Inhaling deeply, he hears the door open and shut.
Bracada thought to himself for a moment and considered his options. “Jade I need you to talk to him, make him understand, you of all people should understand the call of duty.”
She could tell that this was an act of desperation “What could do you think that will do.”
“You his wife, you can talk some sense into him, you can make him understand.” He spoke in a Calm voice, as not to try and upset her.
Jade just shook her head “Maybe it is you that doesn’t understand. He is seeing this clearly. We both agreed, we don’t want our children to have this type of lifestyle. They deserver much better then this. I can ask him all you want, I already know his answer.”
Bracada let out sigh and glanced over at Kym who was standing over in the corner. “Very well, I had wished that it didn’t come to this.” Kym stepped out of the room, shortly after a number of guards entered the room, two of them went to grab the kids. Jade went for her gun. “I would not advise that course of action.” Yelled Bracada “You will fight quite valiantly, but you are out numbered, and couldn't take us all, and in the end both you and your children would die. If you call to Calnux they will be dead before the words reach his ears.”
She realized that he was right; with Calnux gone she didn’t stand a chance. Moving her hand away from her gun, she watched in horror as her children where again taken away from her.
She turned to Bracada, there was no visible emotion on her face, just a blank expression. It was taking every part of her being to keep her from ripping this place apart with her bare hands. Her eye’s where cold as ice. “If you harm them, the Pliner will be nothing compared to what I will do to you.” She said in a monotone voice. “I will rip your heart out”
Bracada knew that she meant every word of it, this would prove to be his biggest gamble. “Now have a seat, and we will wait for Calnux to return.” There was nothing more scary then a mothers furry.
Calnux heard the yelling in the room, and looked through the glass. He haw the men pick up his children, and this angered him. Kicking the door down, he walked through the door, straight to his father. Grabbing him by the neck, he lifted him up.
"Just what in the f*ck do you think you are doing? Put my children down NOW or I will kill you and the men in this room before they can fire, and you know I can!"
Before he knew it, Calnux felt a sharp shock in his back, and he fell to the ground. The last thing he saw was his father putting a metal item into his pocket.
Calnux shook his head, and opened his eyes. Looking down, his hands were tired, and Jade sat across from him. Her head was slumped down, so she must of still been passed out. Looking around, he saw his father standing in front of the fireplace. The elder spoke.
"I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this. I was planning on you coming here and saying yes, but I can see you haven't changed at all. I'm sorry for this son."
Calnux was full of anger.
"How dare you call me son! You have no right what so ever! What is it you want me to do? You want me to fight? FINE! You want me to come back and take over? Fine, but I will preach of peace. Violence gets us no were father. You are 80-90 years behind Tappee, because all you care about is winning the fights. The economy of this country is going to sh*t and you don't care! I can change that, but not before you die."
Bracada looked over and saw his face red from rage.
"Yes, come back and fight. Win a battle or two, to show how powerful this house still is and I wi..."
Cutting his father off, Calnux spoke loud.
"This house lost it's power when I left. You know that. You want me to put up a front, to make it APPEAR that you are powerful, but you aren't! You are old and pathetic, resorting to kidnapping your own grandchildren. What if the houses found out about that?"
Bracada's heart raced. He was right. They would all die had the houses found out about this.
"Two fights is all I want. After that, do what you please."
Jade winched in pain as she tried to move. Trying to get up she felt to disorintated and just sat back down. She could see Cal sitting across from her.
"Cal he took the kids" She didn't want to admit it, but had no choice, for the first time in her life she didn't know what to do.
Jade must have heard the two bickering back and forth. He looked at his wife, who was crying, and said nothing. Jumping to his feet, Calnux ripped the rope from his wrists, and walked toward his father. As he took a step, he felt a pain in his chest, and stumbled backwards. He looked down, but saw nothing. Putting his hand were the pain was, he felt something wet. Raising his hand, he saw red blood. Looking up at his now crying father, Calnux slumped down next to Jade.
"Honey, I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you or the children."
Leaning forward, he gave his wife what he thought would be his last kiss. As his father stepped forward, still pointing the gun at him, Calnux realized it was Jades gun. Calnux remember the first time he saw it, at the bar. He remembered being at the hospital for Makenza's birth, and thought of the when Jade told him he was going to be a father with Jason. He pushed himself up off the floor, and kicked his father in the chest, sending him flying backwards and dropping the gun. Calnux picked up the gun, and pointed it in the face of the man he once called dad.
"I'm not like you. I'm not going to kill you. I'll make your life hell."
After punching him in the face, Calnux went to the door and stumbled outside. Yelling as loud as he could, Calnux annouced to everyone around.
"This house is full of cowards. They kidnap children, their own grandchildren! The house lost it's "power" 100 years ago, when I, Calnux, left it. All the fights it won were rigged, and now the leader of this house, Bracada, has shot his own son."
Calnux fell down the stairs, and lay at the bottom, bleeding heavily.
Jade was startled by a flash light, she didn’t hear any sound, but knew what it was. It was if time had slowed down.
She watched in horror as Cal took as step back from the impact. He been caught off guard, reaching up he placed his hand over the wound. Before she had time to react Cal fell beside her.
Looking over to her he moved in "Honey, I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you or the children." He said before kissing her.
Her eye’s filled with tear, she had become over run with emotion. As Bracada moved in Cal was one his feet again, this time he disarmed his father. The two exchanged words word. However she wasn’t listen, she had been crippled by fear. Realizing that she had been breathing she took a deep breath.
Closing her eye’s she knew she had to pull it together for both the children and Cal. Seeing Cal head out the door she leapt to her feet to go after him. As she made her way out the door she found him laying on the ground bleeding. Kneeling down beside him she tore of a piece of her shirt, covering the wound, while holding it there she grabbed her Call phone, punching in a series of numbers she placed it back in her pocket.
Looking down at her husband she couldn’t fight back the tear. “Stay with me here. We’ve been here before, we got through that and we’ll get through this”
Glancing over at her gun she was torn in what to do. She had two options, one take the gun, and go after the kids, or two stay with her husband. If she did then he might die.
“Please don’t leave me, I need you more then ever”

As Allenson entered the room there was a panicked look on his face. Taking a moment he looked for a familiar face, it wasn’t long until he found one, Jon Anerton.
“Talk to me Jon, waits going on.”
Glancing over his shoulder Jon could see Allenson walk up beside him, he could see how worried the man was. “We’ve just received a distress call from your daughter. We should be getting the Satellite feed here in a moment.”
The two sat there for a moment watching the screen until an image. Allenson stood there for a moment looking at what he saw. Lying in a puddle of blood at the base of some stairs was Allenson Son in Law; he could see his daughter beside him. His mind racing, He had just talked his daughter, she had told him that they where taking the kids out for a family trip. He felt his stomach sink with that thought. “Oh my god the kids” he said under his breath.
Without a moments hesitation he began giving orders. “Contact Commander Kimsey, with the second X. Have him sent in four Spec squads, and have them clear the area. They are to terminate All hostiles on sight. I want my Family safe, is that understood”
Anerton could her the passion in his voice, panning out the video feed to get a better look of the surrounding area. “It looks like security is rather tight”
Allenson thought for a moment “Send six teams then”
Jon nodded in agreement “Might I remind that we don’t have the authorization to enter their airspace, and that will slow us down.”
“Send them in with a fighter escort then. Have them shot down anything that gets in their way. I want a team on the ground in 10 minutes.”
“Consider it done” Anerton turned to carry out his orders.
Allenson turned his attention back to the screen “Don’t worry honey, Dads coming”
Hearing the engine of the hummer, Calnux looked up at his loving wife, unsure if this would be the last time he did. He placed his hand behind her head, and moved the hair from in front of her face.
"I remember the day I proposed to you. You came home from the hospital, and you were hoping I would bring you. Your dad brought you into the graden, and I was there waiting for you. I saw the tears in your eyes, and knew you would say yes. I was so happy that day."
As the men came out of the squad, the guards from the house started to approach them.
Jade helped Calnux stand.
"Hold your fire! Since Bracada is no longer with us, that means I am the acting leader of this house. Put your weapons down, NOW!"
Calnux leaned over, and spit up blood. Looking at one of the guards in the corner, he swore he knew him.
"Leon? Is that you?"
The boy, who appeared to be about 15 years old, took off his helmet and gas masked, and tossed them to the ground. He looked nearly exactly like Calnux, only shorter and not as much muscle.
"Yes Brother, it is me. After you left, father treated me horrible, saying I shouldn't look up to you. I preach about non-violence brother! I follow in your footsteps."
Looking at his brother, Calnux spit a little more blood up, while holding on to Jade.
"Good, keep it that way. You are in command here till I am able to return. Take these weapons and destroy them. Gather them from the other houses also. If they say anything, tell them it is a direct order from Calnux. This is going to be a time of PEACE for our country!"
Jade looked up at Leon "Please You have to get him to a hospital."
He had passed out. He didn't know where he was or how long he had been there. Sitting up, he felt a sting in his chest, and he was forced to lay back down. He looked around the room, and it looked as if he was in a hospital, but not one in Tappee or his country. Looking around his bed, there were flowers and ballons. Reading one of the cards, it said:
"Dear Jade,
We are so sorry for your lose, and wish you the best at getting through this."
What was this they were speaking of? Before he could come up with an answer himself, a doctor walked into the room.
"Oh, so glad to see you awake Calnux. How are you feeling?"
He had seen the man somewhere before, but was unsure of where. He was rather tall, beard, and glasses.
"I'm ok doc. Chest hurts a little."
The doctor walked to the foot of the bed and pulled up his chart. Glancing over it, he looked up at Calnux.
"You sure did get a lot of rest. Two weeks. Do you have any questions for me?" the man said, walking along the bed, to sit beside Calnux.
"Actually, I do. I know I was shot in the chest, by my father. Why are all these flowers here? Why do the cards speak of losing something? Why isn't Jade here?"
The doctor had a grin on his face.
"Well, Calnux, the flowers are here, and the card speaks of a lose, because you are in a sense, dead. Well, when you arrived here that night, you were in all medical terms dead. We brought you back, barely, but were unsure if you would ever awaken and live a fully functional life again, so we had to tell everyone you died. I must say, it is rather hard operating on you. Your bone structure and organ placement is more ideal then that of a human."
Calnux eyes had glazed over. He had died, and was brought back?
"Well, I'm obviously alive, now can I go home? I want to see Jade. I want my two children. Why can't you tell her I'm alive now?"
"Yes, you can go home. Not now, but soon. Three more days and you should be ready. Your wound isn't closed yet. That is the one thing we didn't like, is that while your internal injuries heal faster then humans, your external wounds, such as a bullet hole, heal rather slowly. As for the story you will tell those when you go back, that is completely up to you. Tell them they buried the wrong person or something. Now, get some more rest."

Jon turned and chased after Jade, she was moving so fast down the hall. “Jade wait” he yelled out to her. However, his words fell on deaf ears.
There was no way that he could catch her at this point. Looking further down that hall he could see that she was almost at a security checkpoint. “Guards don’t let her pass”. The guards armed with guns stepped in front of Jade blocking her path.
Jade was forced to wait until Anerton was able to catch up. “Stand down” he said to the guards. “I’m not letting go out there alone” he said as Jade turned to face him.
“I don’t need your help” and she turned to go on her way.
Anerton reached out grabbed her arm. “Then your not leaving this building. Your going to need help”
“Let go of me, I can take care of myself” Anerton could hear the anger in her voice.
“Do you want your children to grow up without any parents” his words caused her to pause “You and I both know what it is like to grow up with any parents, I doubt very much that you want your kids to go through the same things that we did.”
Jade took a moment to think to herself for a moment. “alright, you can come then, but don’t get in my way.”
Anerton nodded in agreement “It will be just like the old days” he said with a bit of smile.
Truth be know Jade was kinda of looking forward to work with Jon again.
It didn’t take long until the two where out of the building, and on their way. Weaving in and out traffic they where out of the city within a half an hour. “Where are we going?” asked Jon.
“My place, I’ve got to grab something from the house”
About an hour they pulled up at the house. The house itself was the stereotypical home that you see in the moves. Huge front deck, a giant garden, located on the beach. It was the prefect place to raise a family. They where in a hurry, Jade parked the car, and started to run toward the house. Looking up she saw a man standing on the porch, she slipped a bit trying to come to a stop. Breathless she stood there in awe at the sight before.
It was like something from a dream. After Cal’s death she had hoped against hope that something like this would happen. Each time she had dismissed it as a fantasy, if everything that had happened over the past few days was a dream, then the sight before her caused her not to want to wake up. She didn’t know what to say or do.
Jon on the other hand was more of a critic then Jade was, he was always looking for the angle. Reaching for his gun he brought it to bear on the man standing in front of him.
“Make any sudden movements and you die. Now who are you?” He yelled out.
“Make any sudden movements and you die. Now who are you?” He yelled out.
With his back to the women and the man pointing a gun at me, he looks at the door infront of him.
"You shouldn't shoot an old friend, would you Jon?"
Turning around, he let out a bit of a chuckle. Calnux could see that Jade was rather confused at the situation, since he was dead after all. She had seen him buried, and saw him on the bed. She thought I was dead. Everyone did. Well, I'm not. Stepping down next to his wife, he reached for her hand, to show her she isn't dreaming.
"It's ok love, I'm here. All will be explained in due time."
Jade looked deeply into his eyes, desperately looking for any thing that might resemble the man that she once knew.
“Jon put the gun away” she said after some time.
Jon refused to move “Jade I have to say”
She interrupted him before he had a chance to continue. “I knew my husband better then anyone else. He could fool anyone but not me. I know the man standing before me. He was always near me when I needed him, like he is now.”
Reluctantly he put his gun back in its holster, Jade may believe that this was truly Calnux, but he wasn’t so sure, he would keep his eye on him “Very well, I trust your judgement.” He looked over at Calnux “You have a lot of explaining to do.”
Looking back at Jon, Calnux nodded.
"Yes, I do have a lot to explain. Not here though, let us inside."
Calnux held the door open and waited for the two to enter the house. Before he stepped in, he looked around for signs of anyone following them. When we was sure no one was, he stepped inside and locked the door. Taking a deep breathe, Calnux said,
"Howdy guys! As you can see, I'm not dead."
Calnux walked over next to Jade and sat down.
"I'm not really sure what to say now."
Jon let out a bit of a sigh “Cal, you’ll have to forgive me for being a bit of a sceptic, but it’s not every day that someone just returns from the dead. We buried you.” Jon looked over at Jade “Even you have to question the timing on this, with everything that has been going on, it’s not all a coincidence.”
Jade thought to her self for a moment then looked over at Cal “Tell me what you remember?”
Calnux lowered his head, thinking back.
"I remember my father. I remember him shooting me. I went outside and told the houses what happened. After that, I fell down, and you held me. I don't remember anything after that."
The man who was "Calnux" looked up at Jon.
"What do you mean 'everything going on'? What is happening?"
“My fathers..” she was having trouble getting the words out. “My fathers plane went down.”
Jon interrupted “He survived the crash. He was able to make to a nearby island, but when we got there he was gone. Now we have no idea where he is or who has him. It is possible that someone was behind the crash, so we’ve taken steps to project Jade and the family. We’ve moved the kids somewhere safe. And now you return, all within in a 48 hour period, yes I’m concerned right now.”
He was shocked. The man he called father for the last few years was missing.
"Well, what are you doing to find him? I mean, surely he has to be on the island. Are there any tracks on the island besides his, like a boat on the beach? If there was a hopper, then there would be blast marks on the ground from where it landed and took off. He has to be there. Maybe in a cave or something?"
Calnux stood up and walked to his kitchen, where he got a glass of water. How could his father be gone? He already lost one father, he can't lose this one. Walking back into the living room, he sees Jon speaking with Jade, so he listens in.
Jon was trying to talk under his breath so that Calnux couldn’t hear. “WE should tell him so much, even though he looks like your husband, you never know. Your giving him to much classified info, you have to be careful what you say”
Jade glanced over at Calnux in who was still in the kitchen “There are time in your life when you just have to have faith.” She turned her attention back to Jon “I know it him, I can feel. We could use any help that we could, even if the two events are related, then we can use it our advantage.”
He couldn’t help but smile, in truth he was relieved, now he knew that she wouldn’t let her personal feeling get in the way of what they had set out to do.
Taking a moment to think Jade yelled out to Calnux “Would you be so kind as to grab me a glass of water since your up” Her mind jumped back to the conversation that they where having earlier. “Most of the island had been burned, which hide any landing that might have occurred.”
There was awkward silence in the room, no one was quiet sure what to say. However the silence end when Jon’s cell went off.
Without a moment hesitation Jon pulled the phone from his side, and answer it. Jade could tell from the look on his face that something was up. She watched as through out the conversation he glanced over at her.
No sooner had he finished then Jade started with the questions. “Was that who I think it is?”
He paused for a moment to try and find the right words. “Team Serpent just report in, they found the package, steps are being taken for extraction”
She could feel the weight lift off her shoulders, but more was being placed on them. At least for the moment she knew were her father was. As Cal came out of the kitchen she gave him hug “It’s good to have you back, but I have to go back to work, we’ll talk later.”
She glanced over at Jon who gave her a nodded, it was not long until the two were back on their way to the Tribunal chambers
