The Republic of Courtneydom hereby declares war on the region of NationStates, as well as it's UN Delegate, The Republic of Mikes Hope. I was recommended to visit this region by a friend and Mikes Hope sent "Mikeswill" into my own region where I had come from. Mikeswill was harassing so I sent him telegrams to which Mikes Hope replied. I think Mikes Hope is using multiple names and has proven himself to be an annoyance. He has blind followers and he needs to be stopped. All interested in supporting please join the region of The Republican Federation - I appreciate any help in my efforts.

The Republic of Mikes Hope, as Humble Servant and UN Delegate, of The NationStates Region, shall duly inform the citizenry of his Nation and his fellow Nations of his Region, of this outlandish and unprovoked act of War by The Republic of Courtneydom.

At this time, I, as Prime Minister of Courtneydom, declare war yet again on The Republic of Mikes Hope. This second declaration was passed by my Parliament moments ago. However, both myself and Parliament have decided that it would not be in our best interests to declare war on the entire region of NationStates at this point in our operation. Our main focus is to annhiliate Mikes Hope so that the people of NationStates can have a fair Delegate to the United Nations. It is our belief that Mikes Hope is using multiple names that are registered with the United Nations, including Mikeswill.

Declarations of war for NationStates and Mikeswill have been drafted and will be submitted to Parliament if and when necessary.

You suspecting that Mike's Hope is using multiple names is a) apparently based on the fact that there happens to be another nation called Mikeswill :roll: and b) is NOT, in any way shape or form, a good enough reason to declare war.

I am Sam McJoy, ambassador of the Commonwealth of Super Happiness. I am very happy to announce that our council of defense is very happy to send Mikes Hope non-combat forces. We are not a nation of war. We only have a military to defend. We are sending 4,000 support personnel. They will provide support for the military force used to defend Mikes Hope. They will provide medical needs, vehicle support (mechanics, fuel, etc), communications support, services (someone has to feed and cloth the troops). We hope this will help the defense effort. The Kingdom of Askari condems this war, but should it be fought, it must. All assistance possible shall be donated from my nation. Our Nation is small, but with our thriving economy we can provide much assistance in the form of Tomahawk missles and elite, special force troops.

4 modified Tugboats with 50 caliber machineguns and mortors.

All citizens unable to efficiently serve in thy Dictator's Royal Militia will be placed under arrest on charges of Treason and Murder in the fifth degree, as well as numerous charges against His Highness, Supreme Dictator Paulus of Courtneydom. The penalty(s) if found guilty could include capital punishment. Only children, the ill, and persons over the age of 45 years old are exempt from this decree.


This is in the final stages of Parliament approval and will soon be a law. I will have an Army Reserve with over an estimate of 4 million people. I have combat forces of 50,000 from my ally whom I hold in the highest of esteem, the leader of the nation of The Captain.

Courtneydom would first like to inform everyone that it has changed from The Republic of Courtneydom to The Dictatorship of Courtneydom.

As promised, here are my reasons for the war:

1) Mikes Hope sent a "flunky" into MY region, after I visited his at the suggestion of a friend who has a nation there. The "flunky" did not just look around, but moved in. This wasn't a problem at the time. I have the suspicion that they were trying to move numerous people in, so they could have a UN Delegate that would not be me, and have access to my regional control.

2) Mikeswill is Mikes Hope, otherwise Mikes Hope wouldn't respond to Mikeswill's telegrams.

3) They insulted me numerous times for a typographical error in my World Factbook Entry.

I have provided my reasons. I wasn't bothering anyone and I became a victim. I am sorry I did not make my intentions clear - help Mikes Hope if you wish, this war will go on.

In a pre-emptive strike against Courtneydom, Askari has launched 75 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles, targetting all known large armouries & weapon caches in the country.

Our decoy military headquarters was hit and destroyed. Unfortunately, the Minister of Defense was there for an unknown reason. He is now dead. Luckily, The Captain has provided me with his Minister of Defense who is more qualified than mine was. You also destroyed a public library, a television station. A daycare center was hit by 12 of your missiles and 47 children were pronounced dead. Not all of your missles hit their targets and we are still learning of damages at this time.

Due to the pre-emptive hit, Courtneydom has just dropped an Atomic Bomb on the capital of Askari, as well as Mikes Hope.

1 Tomahawk Missile would have decimated it, They are designed to hit fortified things, I suggest you resarch what a tomahawk missile is. It is typically armed with a 1,000 lb warhead.

Also we didn't target your military headquarters, but I guess thats good. Anyways, I targeted armouries, to stop your civilians frm being able to equip themselves (3-4 million people don't equip themselves in 1 night.) As well as destroy tanks, you posted losses for just about everything other then what I was targeting.

The Commonwealth of Testutaka regards the unwarranted declaration of war against itself as coming from a rouge nation and will petition the United Nations to send military aid to the regions being attacked. The attempted use of atomic weapons is barbaric.


At no time have the NationStates as a whole, to the best of our knowledge, acted in a hostile manner that calls for a unilateral declaration of war against well over 200 nations! This is the act of a suicidal nation. The total military might of the NationStates even if only using 1% of their total population would more than equal over twice the population of the aggressors of Courtneydom.

We will not take part in actions of aggression but will defend our soil and that of our allies. We regret to notify the ruling body of Courtneydom that at no time will any of their hostile forces be allowed to rest, recover or re-supply. All efforts will be made to cut supply lines, harass communications and continuously keep the enemy forces under attack.

The choice to attempt to use atomic weapons is one of madness and frankly (OOC) GODMODING and ignoring the rules (IC) a choice that no member of the Courtneydom military will live to regret.

In response to the buildup in Mikes Hope, we have no choice but to bolster our defenses in Courtneydom. 1st and 3rd Fleets will be deployed to the area, as well as 2nd and 4th Armies. Lt. General Steve Briggs will be theater commander for the ground forces, Admiral Sam Chester will be commander for sea forces.

Our Orbital Defense Platform will keep an eye on things from the sky. All troop movements into Courtneydom will be noticed and monitored.

On land, Abrams tanks are rolling off the cargo planes in Courtneydom's airports and Division and Brigade commanders are establishing command posts and coordinating with Courtneydom's commanders. General Briggs' location will be kept secret for now.

I ask that all opposing forces remove their troops, but that the Captain will leave his troo in defense for 24 hours after the last opposing troop departs. I would like to thank Mikes Hope for the Editor-In-Chief, I appreciate the gesture of kindness and therefore have ended the war, myself winning. Extendning a sign of peace is no different than forfeiting, so I am the grand winner of this war. Nothing has been accomplished, but from now on I hope that peaceful relations will exist.

"Is The Captain The Real Power in Courtneydom?"

Our panel will discus tonight the possibility that the nation of The Captain actually used the recient crisis to place an overwhelming military force within the borders of Courtneydom to encourage disent amoungst the already oppressed peoples of that country and forment a revolt that will lead to The Captain taking control of the unstable country.

The Senators all met in the Great Chamber. This was the time to decide what to do with the troops in Courtneydom. The debate didn't last too long, as most Senators thought the same about small nations.

Official Proclamation:

The armed forces of The Dominion of The Captain will remain in Courtneydom for as long as we believe our presence shall be needed.
