In order to intimidate the stupid UN proposal banning landmines, the non-UN nation of Nanakaland will put landmines in unfarmable wastelands that no one goes to unless they try to invade my nation.

All nations are advised that landmines are cruel and unnecessary devices to civilian populations of nations around the world. These weapons indiscriminately maim and kill civilian targets. When conflicts end, landmines pose a serious threat to farming and render large portions of land unuseable.

Response - My landmines will go into unusable wasteland that couldn't be farmed, anyways.

The expense and difficulty of removing landmines after hostilities cease means that farmland and other areas might never be useful to populations for any enterprise.

Response - My landmines are in wastelands and need no removing, anways.

For this reason the immediate banning of the use of landmines in conflicts carried out by UN counties is called for.

Response - I will not use my landmines in conflict, they'll be up all year round - 24/7. Oh, AND I am not a UN nation.

If you need anymore loopholes, just ask me. Also, I need to purchase some landmines.

I'm not a UN member. I am just highlighting the stupidity of the UN and pointing out loopholes for my friends in the UN.

Unfortunately, it was USSS doctrine to use landmines as not only defensive deterrants, but as offensive weapons in times of war. Scattering several thousand proximity mines by air really puts a halt to those driving armor assaults, you know. We do appreciate the effort in finding loopholes, however, for those poor UN nations without the imagination to find them themselves.

Quite frankly, we intend to ignore the resolution. If some other UN nation attacks me and I use mines against it, they can feel free to sue away in the World Court, knowing that the best USSS lawyers will do everything imaginable to either keep the case going on until all parties become exhausted and give it up or find some UN violation that the other country happens to have and bring it to the fore. The UN is powerless, and we have no intention to be limited by such a stupid resolution pushed on us by Nations with more ideological liberalism than common sense.

I am planning on forming a region alliance. It will be mainly an economic alliance. But I also plan to form a defence force.
