We have recived a large aid and we are looking over diffrent sorts of powerplants that could be built on our islands, the isles is pretty small and have no mayor river, this makes water power plants impossible and we dont realy wanna have any large coal burners wich tend to make the air polloted, we are looking for economicaly and envoirmentaly good power plants
[we are just below modern tech in most areas but thats cause we have had only turism as a way to get some money to the isles and the money we have gain has been mostly sent to companys in Kelsh as we where only a colony, but we are actually from the modern time age and can accept stuff from near future but not more then 10 years into the future]

There are tidal powerplants, but they're really more of a cutting edge technology than a lagging behind technology.

I see only 3 options:
-Nuclear energy
-Sun energy
-Wind energy

We do have large waves around the islands espesally outside the coral line, the estimated medium is about 4 meters but some stormy days it can come up to atleast the dubbel.
how many wave powerplants would be needed to take up electricy for lets say 10 million citizens and what does it cost to build and hold up this powerplants?

sun energy is what we have looked the most into we also looked into wind energy and we are probaly gona use both and maybe wave energy.
But i dont think any of these will be enought for em self so we will need a mixture of em all.
nuclear is to risky, if the nuclear power plant explodes it will destroy all life on all the islands in our control.

The prototypes are estimated to cost $11 million each, but prices went down(IRL will go down) when they became widely used.

One tidal turbine with 33' blades turned by tidal currents travelling at about 8fps can provide power for a whole village with a population of 9,000. So you'd need 1,112 tidal turbines.

We will look over how many to buy it defently seams like a working system for ous and our needs.
