Description:
This T-98 battle tank is alot based off the T-90 but is much faster and lighter. With new technology that came out by Nano Soft the armor of this light weight fast speed battle tank is made out of plastic fiber. The plastic fiber is really light and strong. It gives the T-98 just as much armor strength as any other tanks. But its not all made out of fiber plastic. Also the firing rate has been improved by at least 4 or 6 rounds per minute. It also carriers more ammo for machine gun, smoke screen and the turret gun. Not only that has been improved but the targeting system and almost every computer in the T-98 is upgraded 100%.

My, that's a big tank. Is that length to the end of the barrel, or the hull?

It must have some fancy foil armour.

And why's the weight range so wide?

In fact, never mind, I'll just go to bed.
04-12-2003, 06:10
The Nation of Naz1s is interested in your tank, and is considering purchasing a *very* large number of them. Could you specify a few more things for us first?

1. Is it a plain 7 mm Machine Gun, or a 7.62(.30 cal) machine gun? If it is only 7 mm, we probably will not purchase it, as it would be to logistically inefficient to produce and transport two types of machine gun ammo.

2. Can its machine gun be upgraded by removing the original and placing a different one on instead? In case we ever decide to use a different machine gun calibur for everything, it would be nice to be able to swap out the MGs, rather than the entire tank.

3. Is it an auto loader with clip in the tank? It's important to me, because I dislike auto loaders, as it causes more crew deaths due to ammo cooking off early.

4. What is the armour penetration on the main gun? Did you sacrifice hitting power to increase the firing speed?

5. Are you willing to send over experienced commands from your nation to train my crews?

I hope that we can do business soon, as it will be quite profitable for both of our countries.
04-12-2003, 06:11
It's a bit expensive, don't you think?
04-12-2003, 06:16
It's a bit expensive, don't you think?Well, considering it is fairly light, so it's more all terrain, didn't scarifice armour(from what it said) has a decent armament(around that of an M1-A2 I think) and can go around faster than half the cars on the road today, 20 mil isn't that bad.

Not really. If he had it for much less, I'd say it's completely unfeasible. The high price tag compensates for what would otherwise be absurd stats.

20 MILLION

The M1A2 doesnt even cost 5 Million!
04-12-2003, 16:20
This thing is significantly better then the M1-A2. It's a buttload faster, has a slightly larger gun, and I think it's also a bit lighter, so it's more fuel efficient.

The 125mm gun appears to have a pretty impressive auto-loader..
I'd venture that it possesses inferior penetration characteristics to modern western 120mm guns.

Yes it is possible for the tanks to be air dropped. We have tested that many times and all but the first time they landed good.

He'd probably say yes

No, the tank can't be airdropped. But that's not surprising, as it's hard to do much with things that don't exist (yes, I warned that if the cost was dropped at all, it would be considered well beyond the realm of possibility. A 60% price cut qualifies).
The tank is a little heavier than anything that can be air dropped, with the limit for that being about 24 short tons (21.8 metric tons)

Now, imagine if acutal military builders were like that...

Of course, General, we can drop it out of a plane!

It weighs 22 tons!

Oh, don't worry, it's plastic.

But it's 22 tons of plastic.

Just you see! We don't take crap like that here! Watch, we'll paradrop it out on that field to support those paratroopers!

*Tank gets pushed out back, parachute fails to slow descent*

Hey, Sarge... There's a tank...

Where?

Coming from the sky...

INCOMING!

*SPLAT*

The tank lies half sunken into the ground, with the para's arm sticking out.

I know you'd say it can just because you want to make this so absurdly good that no one who knows squat about tanks will accept it. I know it can't because I actually look up the information, so I know the actual limits.
And I posted because I initially said that this would be acceptable because of the high price tag, which also suggests future tech. However, dropping it by 60% completely negates that, and I wanted to make it clear that I no longer accept it. That's important because my opinion on such matters is becoming quite respected.

He thats funny but the verson we droped from a plane was about 12-16 tons and not 22 tons. We also used a advance para system. The lighter verson will come out soon and it will have anti-fire armor so whene you drop naplalm on it, it wont melt like a little gi-jo figure.
