China to build SDI network
The Republic of Taiwan (formerly R.O.C) has announced a regional strategic defence initiative to protect the region from the threat of nuclear missiles.
180 Anti-ICBM Satellites will be launched into space at a cost of $18bn for the entire project (not including launch costs).

You must be using very poor satellites at only $18 billion for the entire project. That averages out to $100 million per satellite, when a decent satellite will run you upwards of $500 million.
The satellites would probably be severely damaged or destroyed by Chinese ICBMs, so the low price for thr defense system makes sense.
The whole purpose of the SDI is to defend and protect Taiwan.

You're going to end up spending more in the long run though, as building hundreds of crappy kamikaze satellites will in the end cost a lot more than building several expensive satellites that shoot the missiles down during their ascent phase by heating their fuel\oxidizer.
Well this is retarded!!!
China is so close to Taiwan that it won't even use ICBM's! Dumb asses, most the missiles are IRBM or shorter. Also check your facts, SDI are supposed to be laser mounted satellites not kamikaze blocking tools.
It's China-wide. Taiwan and China are (in NS anyway) on friendly terms.
