I come to inform of the creation of the New Republic of Quanda! Our country is now defined as a New York Times Democracy, and we hope to contribute to a world of peace at all possible.
However, first, Quanda in general has several issues that must be worked out.
Though we have a GDP of $149.5 billion, we are having problems founding and maintaining a military. Needless to say, a country requires a strong national defense before it can enter the global stage confidently.
Currently, we have 55 commandos armed with fragmentation grenades, Ak-47 rifles, and thermal goggles.
We also have 4945 standard infantry, all of whom are equipped with shotguns.
Because we have such a small force, I am asking for $1,000,000,000(One billion dollars) in international aid to begin the creation of a stronger Quandan army, in addition to FREE training for our commandos. We desire our Commando teams to have a proficiency in Urban Warfare, with the ability to Paradrop. In addition, we want our commandos to be able to plant explosives.
In return, Quanda will save 10% of the Commando forces we have and create our quality special forces team, Gold Team. Gold Team will have the task of tracking down terrorist operations, and will have the ability to find and destroy enemy supply dumps.
Eventually, this team will be able to penetrate enemy defenses, and kill commanding officers as well as under-taking any other number of covert missions that the world asks of them.
In addition, the Republic of Quanda will be forming a defensive alliance with 6 other nations. This pact will have the mutual concerns of all member nations combined.
Here is what we plane to use your funds on:
Flat Bed trucks, to make our logistical officers more efficient. An army must be well-supplied to duel its opponents.
An air base, with a mid-tech level radar dish as well as concrete runways long enough to allow a B-52 to take off, should the need arise. We never know when our allies in the international community will need this base to strike at our common foes.
AAA batteries. They will have moderate radar and aiming capabilities, but will have a very high rate of fire with a mix of incendiary and armor piercing rounds, which will down helicopters and aircraft on close air support. WE NEED SOMEONE TO SELL US THESE WEAPONS. Our price is $1.5 million per unit. We will man the guns ourselves.
A Weapons development program. Our goal is to create communication, radar, and targeting components that will eventually allow us to make an integrated air defense. A strong air defense makes a strong country.
An upgrade on our Commandos. They will carry C-4, parachutes, silenced pistols, and shrapnel armor in addition to their normal equipment
An upgrade for our infantry. They will be upgraded to carry AK-47s, grenades, and shrapnel armor
BMP infantry vehicles, which will sport old anti-tank missiles and rotary cannons. WE WILL BUY THESE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY FOR $600,000 PER UNIT!
Low-tech artillery pieces with great range and good damage abilities.
Trained Forward Observers with laser-range finders, silenced pistols, advanced radios, and camera equipment (for peaceful monitoring operations) WE WILL PAY ANOTHER STATE $10,000 PER MAN to supply us with the necessary electronics.
A plane capable of carrying 50 infantry deep into enemy territory, ready to Para drop troops. This is necessary for our commandos, specifically Gold Team, to be truly efficient. We can not supply this ourselves, so we are asking another nation to design us an aircraft with the following abilities.:
Carriage: 50 infantry
Speed: 400 MPH
Altitude: Minimum 45 feet. Maximum 15,000.
We also require advanced countermeasures and a range of 1,000 miles. Our goal is to skim at low altitude close to an enemy location, and then rise high, dodging missiles. The carriage jumps off, and the plane dives to low altitude to continue home.
Hopefully, with your funding, Quanda will the have national defense it needs to be a confident player in the global realm, and have a top-notch corps of soldiers ready to strike at the enemy wherever he hides.
URGENT NOTICE: Terrorists have been flaring up quite often. Our Police forces lack the funding to combat the increasing level of crime in Quanda, let alone terrorist cells. I am also weary of sending troops into disperse the cells, as I will be seen as little more than a tyrant, given that our army is too primitive to operate subtly. Therefore, I also request that the international community sends Anti-Terror experts to Quanda.
I have no idea why these terrorists operate in my land. Our civil rights are good, the economy is strong, and poltical freedoms are superb. Quandan intelligence suggests that the nearby Kingdom of Covergirl may be supporting these terrorists. After all, the extreme capitalistic right there has aimed at our national resources for quite some time, and would love to see our anti-monopoly regulations fall so their super-corporations can take hold.
