Volk (Wolf) Infantry Fighting Vehicle
Please Note:
All selling and Manufacture (Production) rights are reserved to Geforce4 and Dark Terror only!
Thank you for your understanding
The Bisonic Defense Initiatives Agency (BDIA), working in conjunction with the Geforce4 Defense Industry, has developed the new Volk (Wolf) Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV), loosely based on the feared BMP-3 design.

The Volk is based on the highly successful BMP-3 design
Volk Armament
http://www.jed.simonides.org/fulltrack/bravo/bmp3_series/kaktus/kaktus_001.jpg
The Volk armament includes electro-thermal chemical 105mm gun, gun-fired radar guided missiles, and a 30mm autocannon
The main armament of the BMP-3 is an Electro-thermal 105mm semi-automatic rifled gun/missile launcher, which is stabilised in two axes and can fire either 3UOF HE-FRAG (High Explosive-Fragmentation) rounds or Vorobey radar-guided anti-tank guided missiles. Effective range for the HE-FRAG round is 4,000m. Muzzle velocity is 250m/s. 22 HE-FRAG rounds can be carried in the automatic loader, total ammunition load being 40 rounds. Rate of fire is 15 rounds per minute, due to the use of the latest Bisonic designed autoloaders.
The gun fires the Vorobey anti-tank guided missile round, which consists of the millimeter-wave radar guided missile and container. This missile is used in the upgraded Bastion missile system (NATO designation AT-10 Stabber). The missile can engage tanks with explosive reactive armour (ERA) as well as slow, low-flying targets such as helicopters. Range is 100 to 4,000m. Hit probability is given as at least 0.9 with armour penetration of 650mm, allowing the successful engagements of targets such as Armored Personnel Carriers (APC’s) or Infantry Fighting Vehicle’s (IFV”s). Ammunition load is 8 rounds.
Armament also includes a 30mm 2A72 automatic gun, stabilized in two axes, which fires 3UOR-6 and 3UOR-8 rounds. Ammunition load is 500 AP (Armour-Piercing) or HE-FRAG rounds. Rate of fire is more than 300 rounds/min and range is 1,500 to 2,000m. There is also one 12.7mm Kord-T coaxial machine gun and two 7.62 bow machine guns.

Self Protection
http://www.jed.simonides.org/fulltrack/bravo/bmp3_series/applique/bmp3.jpg
The Volk is protected by Nonexplosive Reactive Armor (NERA)

Protection of the Volk includes an outer layer of Montgomery titanium armor. The Volk tank is protected by the new Igolka Nonexplosive Reactive Armor (NERA) technology. NERA technology is an improvement over the previous Kaktus ERA technology, with the ability to be buried several layers deep in the armor. Also, when they "go off", they only use the reactive material in the immediate vicinity of the actual penetration rather than a whole "box". Finally, there is a layer of Tungsten.

It is fitted with the Forcian “Death-Claw-5E” system for the jamming and engagement of incoming anti-tank missiles.
http://www.digikitten.com/playhousev2/files/pixelmonkey/volk5.jpg.jpg
"DeathClaw-5E" Anti-Missile defense system: the "DeathClaw" is something like a mine, there are 15 charges, mounted on a rotating post on top of the turret and capable of showering both enemy ground troops and incoming missiles in a hail that could annihilate said missiles or ground troops. it is a fearsome close-up weapon when modified with shrapnel and explosives. the "DeathClaw" can be used as a positively horrific weapon against infantry attempting to get up close to the tank.
Maximum Effective Range: 164 feet (50 meters).
Rate of Fire: Up to all charges can be used in one time.
Payload: 20 explosive charges.
it also includes the following:
Smoke/Gas Dispensers (2): A smoke/gas dispensing unit is attached to each side of the APC. The dispenser releases a dense cloud of smoke that covers a 40 foot (12.2 m) area in front of the vehicle, It can also release tear gas. The dispenser can dispense prismatic aerosol for dispersing laser beams. This has the same effect as prismatic aerosol grenades. The effects of the prismatic aerosol is combined with the laser resistant materials that compose the armor if the later tanks when they are used together.
Payload: 20 total; 10 charges each; typically 10 smoke, 5 prismatic aerosol, and 5 tear gas.

Infrared Laser Jammers are Mounted on the upper forward corners of the hull these are jamming devices designed to stop incoming missiles, though actually the lasers fire wide beams of IR light at incoming missiles. When an IR guided missile is hit by the lasers its seeker is blinded.

FIRE CONTROL AND OBSERVATION
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/bmp-3/images/bmp-3_8.jpg
Part of the Volk’s fire control system is the Arbalet-b millimeter wave radar made by geforce4

The Volk is fitted with the 1A6GT fire control system.

The 1A5GT fire control system includes:
- The gunner's 1A43 day fire control system
- A laser range finder
- The driver's TVN-5 infrared night viewer
- A second-generation television sight and automatic thermal target tracker
- An integrated operating system which includes advanced data communications and battle management
- Arbalet-B millimeter wave radar
- Infrared tracking system

The computer controlled fire control system includes line of sight stabilisation in two axes, a second-generation television sight and automatic thermal target tracker, a laser range finder, an improved thermal night vision system and a dynamic cant angle indicator. The commander's station is fitted with a stabilised panoramic day and night sight. The integrated operating system includes advanced data communications and battle management.

The Volk is fitted with the Arbalet-B millimeter wave radar system.

The Arbalet-B milimeter-wave radar/warning sensor is mounted on the back of the turret and can be extended to a height of 14 feet (4.2 meters). This will allow the crew to see over obstacles, and to perform observations without exposing the entire APC. it also includes a set of enhanced vision optics, with a magnification of 50 times.
it also provides early warning of incoming aircraft and missile attacks.

Data processor: Ts181F

PROPULSION
The engine is the V-shaped UTD-29U diesel engine, which produces 660hp. The transversal mount of the engine enables the wheel drive, cardan shaft for the waterjet drives and electric bilge pump to be located underneath. Transmission is hydromechanical with a hydrostatic gearbox for the steering gear and power take-off for the water jets.

We wonder if we could purchase 80 of these IFVs without the 105mm ETC gun. We will install our own 105mm rifled gun ourselves. We also would like to pick up the products ourselves via sealift ship.
03-12-2003, 03:40
Confirmed.
OOC:
Omz, what happened to buying thousands of everything you saw?

I request a remodifciation to carry 10 soldiers, though.
If you can provide that, I will offer $240,000,000 for 600.

Can I ask how many soldiers it can carry?

If it doesnt carry any, it isnt an IFV.

And remember, infantary are harder to kill than any tank. The more, the better. And how a BMP can carry the equivelant of an 125mm gun I dont know.
03-12-2003, 21:24
This carries 7 troops.
