The old ESSAR-2 (experimental Skittletopian Standard Assault rifle - 2) prototype has finally bee accepted as the Skittletopian's standard assault rifle, however two modifications have been made to the design:- the standard ammunition will be the 7.62 Frangable and the guns will be converted to forward-ejection. The new designation is SSAR-2B that is all.

EMERGENCY RECALL, forward ejection has been deemed ineffective after most of the guys on a training exersize slipped over at least once on thier own cases. Conversion to ambidextorous select-ejection has been opted for as the replacement.
