At 2:00PM AST today, 2000 Attican marines landed on the beach on the island of Stuttland, bearing full arms. They were met by fierce resistance from the Federal Militia, comprised of 2,500 in that area. Although they fought hard. All Militiamen were either killed or captured. Only 230 Attican Marines were killed in the combat. It is expected that the Attican Marines will occupy the City of Stuttland on the island within 4 hours.

The city of Stuttland has been taken by Attican troops.

OOC: would this happen to be a civil war then or just an outright invasion?

As the Attican Regular Troops move towards the city of Potslin, they move by a hill. Just as the army is passing the hill, 1500 Confederated Infantry rush down the hill. Knowledgeable that their weapons are vastly inferior to the Atticans, they rush into the Attican army, forcing them into close combat. The Attican Army, caught off guard, is forced into what is considered the most primitive form of combat, hand to hand, by what they considered to be a mangy vat of rebel scum. As the battle goes on, several Attican divisions retreat from the combat. Only 800 are left, and they have formed a skimply line to fight from. The Confederated troops break thru their line, surround the Attican troops, and all but slaughter them.

The retreating Attican troops, headed back to the beachhead, are ambushed by 200 Federal Militiamen, who begin firing from the sidelines with their best weapons (majority of them being bolt-action Mausers, and a few STG-44s, not very advanced compared to the Attican G-36), and somehow begin mowing down the Attican lines. The Atticans return fire, and easily mow thru the Federal lines. As this battle goes on, the Confederate troops move behind Attican lines, and rush in again to slaughter the Atticans from the rear.

Just as the last of the Attican invaders of Potslin are slaughtered, tempers flare between the two warring sides of the Abodrian civil war. The Federal troops begin firing into the waves of Confederate troops, while the Confederates to similar. In the end, the Confederate Troops kill 120 Federal Militiamen and capture 80, and the Federals only kill 90 Confederate Infantry. The Attican army was slaughtered, with no survivors.

On hearing news of the Abroditian civil war, King James IV readies the 2nd Army for immediate deployment to act as peacekeepers.

We have nearly 20,000 spare M-87 assault rifles you can have at an extremely low cost, say that of an embassy and small attached military compound inside your country.

The M-87 is a 10-mm assault rifle, with a high muzzle velocity, medium range, and rate of fire of 750-rounds per minute. Outside of Potslin, gunfire is heard. A force of 4000 Confederate Infantry is heading towards the city!

Elements of the 2nd Army arrive via MV-42 transport, and head straight for Potslin.

Around 20 transports deliver some 2000 Marines into the city itself, and they immediately set up defensive positions agains the Confederate attack.

They deploy M93 heavy machine guns into positions covering main access roads, and ambush sites are set up using lighter M-249 machine guns, M-87 assault rifles, and light 60-mm mortars.

OOC: How did they arrive so fast? Unless your 2nd army was on the Attican Continent... the Abodrian islands are 30km west of Attica.

OOC: They were in FPC, assuming FPC is bordering Attica still. Last group to be withdrawn to acheive the hugely scaled down force in the area.

OOC: The problem is, they were already fighting, and it would take at least 3 hours for your troops to fly their, over Attican territory, from FPC. If you went around, it would take even longer...

OOC: Its basically a border base with Attican Empire, and those transports can really hustle if necessary. The post i replied to made it seem like th army was some way away. If fighting has already started, i won't bother getting involved.

IC: All units en route to Potslin sense they are not wanted, and turn around.

The arms shipment sits in McLeod03, with no safe delivery location.
