Today, the plans for the Pombo fighter were announced last week by the USSJ's secretary of war and foreign affairs Cornelius Ikvanov. The winner of the contract, Anubis Corporation, is said to begin development in late November and have hopes of putting it into production by mid-December. The navy has ordered 50, but the airforce is unintrested in the fighter, because of their own project to create a small space saving fighter, the X11, otherwise named Corvo jet figther. The Pombo will be equipped with AA-11 Archer missles and with 1 gSh 30mm cannons. The Pombo will run off 2 MJXX afterburning turbofan engine.
The contract for an attack aircraft to replace the Barracuda attack aircraft has begun, Anubis Corporation, Jakalistani Arms and Kaliyuto EX":L aviations have all begun making prototypes to present by the end of this month. The aircraft is to have stealth technology, the same avionics used in the Relampago Magnifeco, and to be able to double up as a fighter aircraft.
The aging premier of the USSJ, Namarti XII, has announced the expansion of the airforce from 121,000 to 253,000 personnel. That would consitute an addition of 100 bombers, 700 attack planes and 6200 fighter planes along with AWACs, Cargo planes, Tankers, CSAR airplanes, SOF airplanes and trainers."
