Socialist extremists have overthrown the Emperor and set up a socialist government in Eridu.
The name of our nation has been changed from the Empire of Eridu to the Union of People's Republics of Eridu.
The new government condemns the South Pacific and all other democratic nations as they are the enemies of all mankind.

OOC: What you fail to see, though, is that technically, an empire isn't a corporate police state. If anything, it's more feudal-esque in nature, but whatever. Call them one in the same if you want. All's good. :)
