Kazakhstan again has released another military weapon, but this time it is not an aircraft, or indeed infantary weapon. We have tried our hand in vehicular combat systems. A main battle tank is rumored to be in the making, but we have decided to see what reaction we would have if we released an IFV into the world military now.
It has been developed over the past few years (RL days) and has taken reference from several places. We hope you like it, and use it for your military. You will not regret it, and we hope we have succeeded in keeping up the standard we maintained with the F/A-41, AK-109 and C-145.
M-12 Infantary Fighting Vehicle 'Sythe'

Design
An Infantry Fighting Vehicle is a light armored tracked vehicle with a gun capable of attacking soft targets. The typical role of an IFV is to house a squad of soldiers, often armed with both hand guns and machine guns, and usually anti tank weapons. The soldiers will dismount when the IFV makes contact with the enemy. The IFV crew usually consists of a driver, gunner and the commander, who stay in the vehicle, firing the main gun at the enemy. IFV are a close friend to main battle tanks, helping each other out.
The main task of the M-12 is to safely transport infantrymen and to be able to engage other combat vehilces and ground targets. The vehicle has a certain degree of air defence capacity, chiefly against helicopters. In order to be able to fulfil its tasks, the vehicle has been equipped with a number of different systems. These systems are to facilitate good accessibility and rapid deployment at a speed of 70 kph, and to have a high degree of firepower, plus offer good protection against fragmentation and NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) weapons.
We have come up with an idea to create the basic shape of a Tank, and be able to fit infantary inside. This meant scaling down the turret, and that also meant the ability to reach 70 kph. Also, decent protection against hits was needed, otherwise the vehicle would become redundent and a fat target on the battlefield. We therefore took off the standard 105mm+ turret, and replaced it with a powerful rapid fire 40mm turret.
Also, we lengthened the vehicle to accomidate an infantary space in the back. We managed to reach a maximum of 8 troops or 6 fully geared up troops, complete with Bergen. This creates great practicality on the battlefield, allowing the troop moving capability of a APC with the power to destroy APC's, IFV's and even helicopters.
Powerplant
OOC: Right, I am 13 and just finished my schoolboy science course of Hydrogen, so this might go badly. I have learned it at school, and researched however :D .
IC: Powered by a dynamic 500 Horsepower Hydrogen engine, which does not require fuel, the tank is fast and effective. It can carry all its passengers and ammo, and is very maneuverable and responsive. This means battlefield helpfulness and allows logistics to be thrown out the window.
The powerplant is slick and reliable, and is desgned to produce minimal vibrations with the quietest noise. It is also partially liquid cooled. Hell, it is cooled by the water that it exhausts :D
Systems
Systems are the most important thing on any vehicle, which allows it to be completely computerised. It features automatic cooling for the engine and safety with the rounds for the gun. The fire control computer allows the gunner and commander to select targets for the gun, and then fire at it via the gunner. It is very automated and requires little training.
GPS and electronic mapping are included, and relayed to the driver and commander. The gunner gets detailed terrain mapping on his screen. A rotating video turret gives 360 degree vision for the commander, which also means it is too high for mud to reach. IR, NV and Thermal vision are catered for, adn the FCU works at night. As an added bonus, engine reliability and thrust trimming allows for large efficiency.
A new Laser Point Defense System that runs off the auto targetter has been added. This protects the tank against most heavy missiles and RPG's. It has been proven and is currently attached to most of our main tanks. This brings a whole new dimension to the tanks defenses.
Weaponary
The main part of this IFV is its powerful, rapid firing 40mm Mini-Electro Thermal Chemical Gun. It is capable of blowing away Infantary in a blaze of HEAT, and pentrating the armor of the M3 Bradley, M113 and BMP-1 to 3. It is very versatile, and even means the combatting of helicopters that would attack. This allows it to be a great accompanyment to any Tank Division.
A coaxial 12.7mm gun is fitted to the right of the gun, which allows infantary combatting to the extreme. A 7.62mm machine gun can be loaded above the spot where the commander sits, above his peep hole. This allows anti-helicopter protection and yet more anti infantary.
But its main bonus is its ability to cater for up to 8 lightly loaded infantary in the back or 6 heavily loaded infantary. Of course, they can carry LAW's, Stingers and mortars to caombat yet more vehicles. This means they carry the most fire power, more than the whole vehicle.
We very much hope you like it, and will purchase in the future. Now, stats :x
