ATHAMASHA (NA) - The latest results for the General Referendum are in, and they are, with 99% of precincts reporting:

Socialists - 46% (92 CTA Seats)
The Socialists suffered yet another drop this time around. Analysists are pointing to division between the so-called "Nationalizationists" and the "Marketeers."
Platform - Status quo.

Libertarians - 18% (36 CTA Seats)
The Libertarian party showed a surprise gain this year thanks in part to the tireless efforts of Mr. Katz, the new leader of the Libertarians.
Platform - Removing the few government controls over personal life, liberalizing the economy.

Patriot's Coalition - 14% (28 CTA Seats)
This new Conservative party in this traditionally socialist country made strong showings this year.
Platform - Bringing the government to "moralize," a stronger national defense.

Free Democrats - 7% (14 CTA Seats)
With the appointment of Mr. Horowitz, the popular leader of this party, as Warden of Seonasha, the Free Democrats lost a huge percentage this round.

Platonics - 5% (10 CTA Seats)
This "sick man of Community politics" lost more votes this round. Analyists point to the fact that this party was mostly popular with the old guard of the country which has begun to die off.

Other - 10%
The largest other parties include: Fascist Party of Athamasha (2 Seats), Asham National Party (6 Seats), Red Communist Party of Athamasha (4 Seats), Our Community (2 Seats), Jewish National Party (2 Seats), Business Party (2 Seats), and the Party for King Elius I (2 Seats).

Constitutionally, the top five vote-getting parties get a CMA seat and those appointed are:

Mr. Publius Montes - Socialists
Mr. Grillus Katz - Libertarians
Ms. Aurelia Pisces - Free Democrats
Ms. Euphonia Dowd - Patriot's Coalition
Mr. Domulo Iroj - Platonics

The Office of the Socialist Prime Minister John Taylor of Cowes lauds voters in Athamasha for their results returning a socialist government. However, if the party is losing power in Athamasha?

The Cowes General Assembly is led 38% by The Democratic Socialists. I suppose this makes our two nations open to increased diplomatic relations.

We would like increased relations with Cowes, in fact we would encourage you to relocate to our region. A diplomatic team has already been dispatched to the country to see what we can learn.

The Commonwealth will strongly consider this. In fact, Cowes has been looking for a new region recently, and this looks rather nice.

A small embassy office has been set up for you in the capital city of Simes.
