“Earlier today the Prime Minister and his advisors were killed by the soon to be relieved General John Colbert. Here is the video”

The tape starts up showing the Government Building in the capital city of Mithandler. Prime Minister John Foster is seen walking into the building and the tape cuts to five minutes later. Suddenly three missiles are seen slamming into the office building and then one-bomb hits what is left completely leveling the entire building.

“This happened moments after they decided to declare war on yet another nation. Here is what General Colbert had to say while flanked by his men.”

“Yes I ordered that strike on our government. I have ordered it for the good of all nations and for us. He has been removing all Military Commanders Opposed to his views and replacing them with friends. You and our military tired of waging war for no reason at all other then them being smaller or less advanced or any reason he came up with. I have taken charge now and have recalled all military forces from around the world, we will be holding new elections for our government and making a new law allowing the removal of the country leader for declaring war on smaller countries or for now reason.”

Camera cuts back to the Anchorman, “The Supreme Court has decided no charges will be made against the General and he will not be court-martialed. Our capital city is now ruined by debris and the explosion of the government building but it will be rebuilt. Elections will take place Saturday and Sunday polls will be open from 8:00am to 10:00PM.”

Several minutes after the broadcast ends the signal is interrupted again showing several of Foster’s most loyal men being escorted into the military prison under heavy guard. They are placed in a cell and will be tried for crimes against humanity and the states.

Martial Law has been declared because people are afraid of another civil war with no National Government. All provinces have sent out all armed forces and set a curfew for 9:00pm everyday except Election Day.

OOC:Whoa.That was effective,but wasn't it overkill?

Cowes condemns John Colbert for creating this gruesome coup. In a civilized world, a better society can be formed without relying on violence.

However, putting this aside, this looks like a much more stable government. Therefore, no actions such as trade sanctions, shall be taken on Comdidia.

OOC i don't like soap operas

President Seth Hunter of the United Kingdom of Shinrita also condemns General John Colbert of the excessive use of force, however, also seeing as this coup has brought more stability to your nation, when elections are completed and a new leader has been chosen, Shinrita would like to donate 5 million Gold Lira to assist your nation.

Also, as a gesture of goodwill, should you require any peacekeeping forces, a 500 man team from Shinrita Military Academy will be dispatched to assist you.

The Camera pans the military around the crowd as General Colbert stands on the stage.
"People of Comdidia. Today the members of your Council have passed a new law to help stop any more leaders from doing what Foster did. At any time if there is just cause a Military Head or CO may question the Prime Minister or Cabinets orders if he thinks they are a war or battle for no reason other then land or some other useless thing."
As he took a breath to continue reading two officers rushed to him and whispered something to him, "I would like to continue but I cannot." He turned leaving with the other out back to the armored transport and it sped off towards the nearest military base. The general got out rushing inside the bunker as the officers spoke and the transmission cut dead.

"We found out several thousand loyal troops at least have taken several bases along our eastern seaboard. They are trying to raise more support to take over the government in a military dictatorship.”
“Well we wont stand for that, elected officials will be much better then a general and I should know I am one. I wish this could all end without more bloodshed, surround the bases and jam all communications out and in. Let’s try and talk our way through this one before attacking.”

A alarm sounds and two tank divisions leave an armory on the east coast heading to the three bases along with infantry soldiers. They arrive about twenty minutes later at the bases setting up perimeters around all three of them in a large box. They set up communication jammers and prepare to negotiate or try some peaceful way to get them to surrender.

"We have learned of loyalist to a military general wishing to take over have held up in three bases. Government forces have surrounded them and are trying to talk it out. Reports are coming in of some strange tie in between the assassination attempt several weeks ago of the dead minister and this new devolpment. More news tomorrow" The transmission cuts while they prepare for a long standoff.

ooc note- the bases are just three military bases spread out just outside of a city so they are not that far apart.

We Support this Coup to over throw the former government of Comdidia. If you need help to wipe out supporters of the former Prime Minister John Foster, we are more then happy to help, just ask.

Our small Empire will aid the General's forces in whatever way we can.

Cowes will be happy to send doctors and medical supplies to assist Colbert's men if need be, but we will not get militarily involved.

However, as Colbert said, I wish this could all end without more bloodshed.

We hope we will have no need of any support of any nation to help us end this but in the last twenty four hours we have managed to negotiate two of the groups to surrender only to have several dozen hot spots popping up all over our provinces. We are hoping to contain the issue but we are very doubtful this will end any time soon.

In the Concrete bunker in base Flash Point several hours later.
“General we have hot spots everywhere right now.”
“What about confirmed loyal military men?”
“Well they are being more and more spread out unfortenetly. We can rely on special forces and other special operations groups for sure but stand Infantry and others might now be as trustworthy.”
“I think we should make a public announcement in a few hours asking for help in this.”
Three hours later on C.W.N. Live Broadcast
General Colbert steps up to the microphone, “Citizens and countries seeing this broadcast, The current temporary government is having problems with loyalists. At least six hundred thousand men of our armed forces have taken refuge in bases they have taken over or strong holds quickly set up. We did not want to have to come to another civil war so we ask for help with any kind of aid you can provide to help stop a war from happening within our borders” He steps down walking through the door to his right heading back to the Command and Control Center to monitor what was happening.

Meanwhile the entire capital was sealed off. Roadblocks set up and routine patrols and monitoring equipment set up. The special forces protecting it wanted to make sure no loyalists got inside to do any damage to the temporary government.

“They seem to be contained but we are not sure for how long.”
