The Ultimate Spartan Super Soldiers v.1

28-11-2003, 02:54
Sparta has perfected the technology to breed the perfect warrior, thanks to our tireless efforts in genetic engineering, we are now willing to sell mercenaries, for your wars. By accepting these mercenaries, you promise to return any and all after the necessary battles, and you assume all responsibilty for them, thusly denouncing Sparta's involvement in any of the war/s you may be participating in. It pays $2500 per phalanx per battle, and each phalanx is 16 rows deep and 8 rows wide. We have a limited supply of 384,000, which amounts to 300 phalanxes.

We perfected this technology through years of altering and controlling the passage of certain genes. The product in question includes strength that is 3 times that of an ordinary soldier, 50% faster, all senses have been heightened, and they are able to handle stress and pressure much more easily, but all our soldiers are like that anyway.. They have been trained in our toughest environments/programs, and have a near insatiable will to fight. Due to their burning more energy, they require 25% more food. We plan to release a version 2 which requires no extra food.

Another one of our future products will include a battle suit that will be able to magnify one's strength.

Our soldiers are eager to fight and willing to serve you. Send in your orders now.

Does the host nation also need to equip them? Give them armor and attack vehicles?

OOC: Do these have a relation to Halo? :)

Would you like to add Cybertech enhancments to make them even better?
28-11-2003, 03:07
No, no relation, but I have considered getting halo. We start you of with some of our armor, but you'll need to buty some from us or equip them yourselves afterward. You can also extract armor from us, but that's an extra $700 per extraction.

We'll add Cybernetic enhancements, sure. That's all coming out on Sunday (or Saturday, depending on which side of the world you're on) when we release version 2.:)
28-11-2003, 14:56
So nobody has use for these soldiers? Hmm... :?

What weapons are these soldiers equipped with? Or will nations have to proivide their own armament?
28-11-2003, 15:04
We start you off with whatever you need st first. Thanks to our Sparta Corp., we can develop weapons cheaply and efficiently. Tell us what you need and we'll see if we can spare it for you.:)

Hmmm... we will consider this. We are currently building our military and shopping around for the best deals. We may well get back to you.

OOC-I'd hope you don't actually USE phalanxes... Wicked easy targets for anything... Not to mention a lack of manuver ability...

Sorry for the hijack.

Don't even try to use a loyalty conversion machine, darn you! They have a secret code that'll allow me to automatically identify them as my own...No, I won't tell you where. (Trade Secrets, ya know. )

No, we don't actually use phalanx formations, except in rare situations where the enemy doesn't have alot of firepower. We just call them that mostly because it's Spartan heritage.

Foolish Peasants:
1.Don't rain on my parade!
2.Just wait till version 2 comes out!

You'll need 100, eh? Well, you'll need to agree to the contract in the first post. ESPECIALLY the part about giving 'em back. You sure you want 100 Phalanxes? That is $2,500,000 per battle. Now that I know about these rather obscene prices, I'm considering revising the prices.
28-11-2003, 16:10
UPDATE: Thanks to the extreme prices we have seen, the Spartan Super Soldiers will now be $1000 per phalanx per battle. :)
28-11-2003, 17:30
Please contain your excitment at the extreme price drop.  Nobody is considering this option? :?

We have our own Spartan program, but too many 'volunteered' children since we closed down all abortion clinincs. We would like to know how much would it be for you to train some of them while we train the others.

 Well, then technically you can't give 'em back... :(

You can buy the tech for...Well, state your proposal, and I may or may not acept this...But the deal must include a Pact of Brotherhood. All it states is that we will defend ourselves in time of need. :)

P.S. ID IO T, it wouldn't matter if they were killed, though. We have about 184,000 more on the way.

The Spartans in HALO are modified with ocular implants, they have carbon-porcelain reinforced bones(Indestructable even without MJOLNIR armor), increased muscle tissue, etc. Normal specially trained soldiers seem to move in slow motion for the Spartans, and even slower with the armor. The armor can move based on the wearers thoughts. Many normal soldiers would get in the armor and then move a body part(such as arm). The suit amplifies this movement, and foces the body to move faster than intended. Soldiers( not the Spartans) would break an arm from this, and then writing in pain, basically have all their bones broken from their own seizure. The Spartans can leap over 9meter high walls wearing MJOLNIR.

I got that from reading The Fall of Reach, an excellent book, which tells the story up leading up to where HALO the videogame starts.
