The new Parliament of Militanar, elected yesterday, has passed two resolutions against the Alliance Against Capitalism and Democracy.

The first, passed 496-0, condemned the members for "brutal tyranny" and broke off all diplomatic connections to the members of the Alliance. There was no resistance to this resolution, though a few Parliament members urged caution in dealings with the Alliance to avoid war.

The second, passed 251-213, cut off all trade with the four members of the Alliance. Critics of the move, among them the Progressive and Labor Parties, said that all this would cause is more misery for the populace of the four nations, and that instead of inciting them against their dictators it would incite them against Militanar.

Oksyn Borot, the head of the United Democratic Party, welcomed this victory for his party. "This Alliance is a threat," he said. "Efforts must be made to undermine it."

No word from any of the four members of the Alliance Against Capitalism and Democracy has yet been recieved.

Political analyst Jin Chong almost laughed when he heard the news. "The UDP and the government of Tyrantian have something in common," he said. "Despite their hatred for each other, they certainly have a common enemy in those 'vile commies'."

Statement to Miliantar

The President of Pilot personally extends his thanks to Miliantar for supporting our condemnation of this aggressive alliance of small-minded nations. However, at this time, we wish for the government of Miliantar to remain a diplomatic mediator.

Statement from the desk of the Foreign minister of Rolony:

"The en of all Diplomatic connections with such an Egotistical leader is most appreciated by all of the four nations, including the Armed Republic of Rolony!"

"However we now regard this move as potentially hostile...the Communist Republican Party (C.R.P), currently in charge of the country, with it's leader and self-procliamed Emperor Il Rolo, are holding crisis talks with calls for military action."

"Although this is in early stages, the call for military action may be either from just the Armed Repulic of Rolony or calling on all 3 other nations within the alliance!"

"If found guilty of hostile action towards the alliance sever reprocussions may encure."

The talks have been said to approximately last one week, and if mass support of the idea of hostility is embraced, calls for a referendum on whether to go to a higher state of alert and possible military action being undertaken, the Government will announce it within the next week.

The Supreme Dictator of Tyrantian, also the CEO of the powerful corporation EMCON, looked over the report an aide had just handed him. The United Democratic Party had made considerable gains in the election the day before, and they and he were on very bad terms. Perhaps a war shall prove necessary, thought the dictator.

A knock sounded on his door. The Dictator's ten guards, each of whom would give their life to protect him without the slightest hesitation, all raised their guns, ready to fire at the slightest indication of their master.

"Come in," the Supreme Dictator said.

His aide, a tall young man, walked into the room and immediately fell to the ground, kissing it. Such was the respect necessary for the Supreme Dictator.

"Rise and speak," the Supreme Dictator intoned.

The aide rose to a kneel, still staring at the floor. "My lord," he said, "the new Parliament of Militanar has passed two resolutions against the Alliance Against Capitalism and Democracy."

Interesting, thought the Supreme Dictator. They rise to power, and the first thing they do is not condemn me, but that alliance of fools. This opens up some... possibilities....

We wish to avoid war. Unless a major new development occurs, we cannot see us going to war against them in the immediate future.

If you strike, we shall respond.

The response shall not be enjoyable for your alliance.

NO!

You, Militinar will be the one not enjoying the wrath of the alliance should you anger any one of our mighty nations anymore!

I rather think that Militanar will crush all four of your puny nations. After all, they have held their own against us multiple times, and that is no small feat. Unfortunately, they will do so while keeping in mind such myths as "humanitarian concerns."

I can assure you that I posess no such mercy, and I shall intervene against you if war breaks out.

Statement of Emperor Il Rolo

If war does break out, the alliance will remain ever powerful and more importantly triumphant in a splendid victory for the Socialist/Communist cause!!!

However, despite being an unpopular decision with the publics of all 4 nations, we are not looking or war. We wish to keep the peace with all nations.

Any further developments will be decided between the tense relationship between the alliance and the Country "Pilot"

This talk of war must stop right now. I do not wish to get involved in this squabble, but the only thing being sent is threats. I demand that both sides begin to work towards peace. If possible, I will hold peace talks in my nation.

Our requests:

1. All military aggression and threats of such must end and must never again occur. We ask for $100,000,000,000 to ensure this. It shall be paid back in increments of $10,000,000,000 per month, but if military action or threats of such come from any member of the Alliance, all remaining money shall be taken and used for the war effort.

2. Military spending in all Alliance states shall never exceed 10% of their government's budget. Military forces shall never exceed 1% of the population. No nuclear, chemical, or biological weaponry shall be possessed by any member of the Alliance.

If all of the above are complied with, trade shall continue and war against you will not be instigated by us, nor shall we intervene in such a war.

We are open to negotiation of these terms.

We did not intend to do this, but the continuing threatening posture of the Alliance forced this measure.

If a war should occur, which my nation sincerely hopes is not the case, my young country will do all it can to crush the Alliance Against Capitalism and Democracy. This vile group of conspirators should be ashamed at themselves for the idiocy of their actions.
