Former Prisoners DEAD

27-11-2003, 16:17
Sanchez News Network, just outside Sanchez City -
"I am standing just outside of Sanchez City, where prisoners of war from the lapsed nation of Royville are being released after twenty years of custody within the basement cells of the National Prison. Here they come, down the steps, now."

Five men with beards are being led down the stairs as mobs of people all try to touch them. Reporters are trying to get good pictures, and the men are being escorted by their lawyers, all dressed in suits that contrast their orange jail uniforms.

"As you can see, they're all very happy to be free..."

Shots break out and the noise of the crowd shuts off instantly. The first two men fall. After a second of confused thought, the other three bolt strait towards the car. One is gunned down on his way, the other two jump in the back. The windows are bullet proof, and the sniper knows because there are no more shots. The crowd scatters, trying not to be hit. While the two each lay in their own blood, the SNN correspondant jumps back in front of the camera.

"Three men have just been shot - former Royvillian prisoners have just been shot!" He is out of breath and the camera flickers off.

The Commonwealth of Cowes General Assembly Press Committee Spokesman Paul Lauder issues the following statement-

"We are stunned to learn that in a modern time such as ours, something like this could happen. This sort of attack is an anachronism. The Commonwealth of Cowes will extend all of its investigative help to Sanchezium that it can muster - this must not be allowed to happen without finding the culprits.

"Cowes condemns this attack, but further condemns the Sanchezium government for not arranging for additional security."

Dear Cowes and Other Nations -
Security was a high priority. There were government snipers stationed on top of the prison, at either end of the street, and on top of the building across the street, plus the gaurds on the ground. For a shot to get off, it either had to have been from one of our snipers, or they literally had to be directly next to the two men. The autopsy showed that the shot was lodged in the brain, but was of relatively high calibur (exact numbers not released). This means that it was fired at from a far distance with a high power gun. The only other possibility was from above, and there was a National Guard helicopter in flight at the time. The autopsy also revealed one shot in the center of the back of the head on both men.

JUST RELEASED:
The direction of the shot was from in back. The shooter must have been within the building at the time, firing through the doors at the men. However, the doors have no bullet holes and are bulletproof anyway. The shooter must have been standing on the steps, but that poots the criminal only around twenty feet away from the men, plus no reports show anyone standing there. This doesn't fit with the description of the high power shot still lodged in the head, however.

Are there colums, stone colums there at the front?
27-11-2003, 17:02
Yes, stone columns.

The building is set up very similar to the United States Supreme Court Building.

Maybe the guy who shot must have fired from the colums using tech that can shoot around corners without bringing out the head
27-11-2003, 17:09
Maybe, but it is a normal shell - doesn't look like the new BGT technology, which has two turbulence rafters on the rear rim of the bullet to deflect the charge away from the lead when it turns.
Two suspects have been tortured for information, but have not turned up anything. They were executed half an hour ago, but were useless anyway. The real criminal is still our there.

No,the shell does.'t matter. They can hold the gun to the side of the colum without pulling their head out regardless of size of the shell

Could stealth technology have been a factor?
Did witnesses hear the shots from a particular direction?
27-11-2003, 22:40
Witnesses said the shot was far off. Stealth technology is doubtful because it is said that the blast was powerful and echoed, but that it was just far off. At the end of Main street is a duck swamp around three miles down. Investigators are looking around as we speak in the alleged swamp.
