Emergency statement released by the Ministry of Defence,

The Foreign Minister, Tatyana Ruskovich, has informed me that talks to resolve the territorial dispute over the territories of Belarus with the Russian Forces have collapsed. The Russian government refuse to negotiate and have threatened to invade if Minsk does not surrender ourselves to the Russian Forces.

The Government of Belarus reaffirms its Independence and vows to fight till the last man to defend out motherland.

We call upon the International Community to interviene and to assist us in defending our nation, a nation that has never attacked another state and has always been at the forefront of humanitarian assistance.

The Attawan goverment calls an emergency!

The Attawan goverment, who has allways had good relations to Russian Forces and is a supporter of Belarus, is now at a crossroad... Support Belarus, or support Russian Forces... The Consultariat of Attawar is having a meeting as we speak... It seems that it would be Attawars way to help Belarus, as they are fighting for their freedom and for democracy... The problem is that even though the Attawan military is relativley large, it does not have the full capacity to take on Russian Forces, with its nearly 2 billion population. If the meeting of 1 december in Minsk will still commence is a mystery... There has been a lot of activity in the Commisariat of Defence, but anyone refuses to give comments... There will be a press conference at 18.30 Attawan time... (in one hour) There the two Consuls will answer all questions as wel as possible. One tank division has been moblized.

We have just gotten news of the Consultariat of Attawar, from the first voting appears, that most comyitsars support Belarussian states, because of the fact that they did not start this war, but were brutally declared war upon because of their actions to achieve freedom. More Divisions are being mobilized, and it seems troops will be transported to Belarus to give aid...

More news just got in! The Consultariat has very quickly decided to aid Belarus. The Consultarian MI-8 helicopter is allready being prepared. The Attawan Consuls will bring an early visit to Minsk, in order to negotiate with the Belarussian goverment. The press conference that was announced by "Pravda, the truth" will not be attended by the Consuls. It will take place, and it will be given by the Consultarian-Comyitsar of International Affairs, Tsu Jing...

The Consultarian MI-8 will arrive at 19.00 hours attawan time (= 2.00)... The Consuls will be acompanied by Black Lotus agents.

I am inststucting my ambassadors to visit Moscow once more to seek a peacefull resolution. Should they fail I will have no other choice but to prepair our defences.

The Missouri, preferring peacefull development and good relationships with all friendly governments, must at this stage decline to take sides.

However, should a situation arise where either party transgresses beyond the acceptable rules of warfare (meaning, should we become aware of atrocities committed on either side, or should we fail to recieve an acceptable explanation of an act we deem criminal), we reserve the right to sequester from our Armed Forces, and make available to the victim nation, a full Motorized Rifle division.

In the meantime, we offer our facilities for diplomatic envoys, and hope that cool heads prevail in this tense situation.

Newsflash! The Attawan Consuls arrive in Minsk! They are going to discuss with the Belarussian goverment, and also participate in the negotiations with Russian Forces... If it would come to war, they will side with Belarus.

The Empire of Nummenor wishes to offer its support to its Eastern European neighbor, Belarus, but simply does not have the manpower to support a direct confrontation with the Russian Forces at this time.

These troops will be stationed near Minsk and other cities. The Attawan Commisariat of Defence wich is now in a state of war, sais that they will handle the protection of as many cities as possible, but will leave the border defences up to Belarus and other allies. What we got to know, is that the son of the communist consul is being stationed in Minsk! Rei Himura who recently graduated from the military academy and has passed his training, is a lieutenant in the Grenadiers. Xjung Himura sais that he is proud of is his son, and is certain that he will do his duties for the Belarussian people, and for the motherland.

Rei Himura, only 18 years old, is a lieutenant in the grenadiers. The grenadiers are tank-infantry. Tank divisions allways attack with support of the grenadiers. As a lieutenant, Rei Himura gets the comand over a small 50 soldiers...

Since there is nothing more to be done about this war, the Consuls have returned to Tche-Yang'an.

Belarussian Foreign Minister Tatyana Ruskovich has is said to be delighted at the news of Russian recognition of Belarussian Independance.

In a statement to Pravda newspaper the Russian government stated...

"Truely Russian Forces knows that the people of these nations can govern themselves and will allow that to them. However anything that is part of Russia is RF.

Estonia,Latvia,Belarus,Georgia,Azerbaijan,Armenia,Lithuania are allowed to be independent.

Except the Ukraine. The Ukraine has always been a vital part of Russian Forces and many have died for the protection of that state."

It apears as if the feared war between Russia and Belarus has been averted.

We are delighted by your recent update that diplomacy has preserved peace in the region.

In the light of your request for aid, at the height of the crisis, we have entered into a review of our capacity to provide a rapid reaction force to enable us to support nations that fall victim to the type of attacks we mentioned in the United Nations. At this time, while we can send toops in some numbers (an entire division of our Motor-Rifle forces was offered), we currently lack the logistic support to put these troops on the ground in a short period of time with good local knowledge amongst the Officers leading that force. A task force is currently looking at numerous possible ways of both creating the afore-mentioned Rapid Reaction Force, and finding more effective and efficient ways to deploy our forces.

The Confederacy of the Missouri remains committed to peace, and will seek to avoid taking sides in international disputes; but we will stand by our obligations as members of an international community to use the forces available to us to assist nations who fall victim to infamous acts.
