Hutu to Develop "Hydro Bomb"

With all the talk of bomb development the Hutu Science team that had just shifted from catching their nation up with fission and fussion now search for a challenge. After sitting around and drinking coffee and playing with army men for hours one scientist knocks over a pot of coffee sweeping over all the army men on the ground. The half asleep caffine filled scientists stumble upon an idea that only a stoner could love. They deem their progect the "Hydro/Water Bomb". It is the perfect weapon for deffense and possibly in a smaller grenade like state could be used for police forces. Also, since it doesn't truely explode it wouldn't raise red flags and have people up in arms against them. The scientists quickly get a world patent on it and then go to work. In a press realease they bring the following information about it to the world.

It would roughly work by the same idea of a nuclear bomb, or hydrogen car. In the sense that it will be mainly fueled by hydrogen itself, then it starts a chain reaction with the hydrogen atoms in the Earths atmosphere disruppting the balance and splitting the hydrogen atoms in the Earths atmosphere till the hydrogen to oxygen ratio in a certain area is 2:1 in effect causing a large and sudden down poor of rain again resetting the ratio and balancing out the atmosphere.

We are currently under funded on this progect but are scambling for funds and also we invite outside help on this progect though the rights to this bomb are ours we maybe able to strike a deal once it is finished with countries that aide us now.

I will Contribute some funds to this research only if i can send a team of researchers to help. Joint Effort

Jesus, why just make an ugly bomb?

Of course, as long as you don't try to steal the idea, remember I hold copyright and patents on this idea and final products.

Yet, another bomb inspired by Daikerta's Cold Fusion bomb.

Canadien Bacon will kick in 5 billon dollars now in exchange for discounts on bomb purchases later.

Thank you for your contribution, and we will look into a discount once the bomb is put on the world market.

OOC: Yes I do pay my respects to you Daikerta for the bomb subject and Dago for making the Hydro Bomb comment off hand in another thread, but i meen come on, a water bomb, thats genious, no long term lasting effects, the water dries up, planet takes it back, no one dies, other than drowning victims of course but those would be few.

Cold Fusion is impossible.

OOC: Free hydrogen doesn't exist in Earth's atmosphere in any great quantities. For that matter, free helium doesn't either. Both "boiled off" a looooong time ago.

Helium is now a byproduct of oil drilling. Hydrogen is only found attached to other atoms (mostly oxygen in water).

In short, there isn't enough hydrogen to do this.

Neat concept though.
27-11-2003, 06:24
This concept wouldnt even work in theory. There isnt enough hydrogen in the atmosphere to pull this off.
Hutu

The concept is the placement of large ammount of hydrogen in the air and breaking existing atoms from oxygen and water to produce a kick back of sorts multiplaying it so on and so fourth, like i said creating the A-Bomb effect.

++Breaking Discovery++

It seems in the making of this bomb the scientists have also dabbled with hydrogen cars and hydrogen fueled missiles. They have mad good progress in both fields launching a hydrogen fueled missile with no war head(mainly because we have none) earlier today. The missile known as Auk 1 mesuring 12' by 3' in diameter just a midget compared to cruise missiles and others of the sort managed to travel 300+ miles in just under 15 minutes and hitting within 6inch of its target. This is by far a land mark in missile size speed and at such a small ammount of fuel aswell. The Hutuian government is now selling AUK 1 prototypes to certian nations at 56 Million each.

[Back-channel communique to nations interested in the communications regarding a hydro bomb]

We ourselves are very interested in obtaining some immediate technical assistance with a very special project, specifically, we are in dire need of two nuclear power plants to be located within a very tight geographic area, and about 500 millionD in funding. This of course has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with unfounded allegations of some sort of Maipupuyan secret weapons program, which our spokesperson clearly denied here:

Need immediate reply.

Ok, ok, don't provide us the funding....But somehow we've got to get those powerplants! Ask for more details if you must before agreeing to deal.

OOC: So you've come from spilling coffee to needing funding to creating a hydrogen based fuel all in a couple of hours? Get real because you don't work through research that fast it's pointless if you do it this way.
27-11-2003, 21:10
Cold Fusion is impossible.

OOC: ya ya in real life, but the last time I checked, this isn't real life.
And my RP technology has far surpassed yours.

OOC: ah yes, but my bomb can help with global heating. :D :D

The Hutu scientists now teamed up with scientists from other nations of the Federation have made a stunning discovery, but altering the electron count in the Hydrogen atoms when it is in its liquid form they have been able to make a sort of Hydrogen Gel, which can be better controled and is more stable to work with. The team now happy with the gel product have started to work on the schmatics of the idea again.
Credonia

Credonia publicly opposes Hutu's quest to obtain powerful weapons that can bring upon mass destruction. I will be consulting with the nations of my IDAF alliance about this issue.
28-11-2003, 22:48
err, you do know what happens if you remove or add an electron to a hydrogen atom, right ???

you get a mass of highly charged hydrogen, adding something neutral or of the opposite charge will cause huge electrical discharges and if there's oxygen near, will cause an almighty hell of an explosion

that and the fact that hydrogen won't go gell form, it'll go liquid under high pressure or at very low temperatures, but it'll never become a gell

Number 1; This is not a Weapon of Mass Destruction(All the funding in the world and thats the best name the USAs DoD could come up with...)

Number 2; It was never intended to be an offensive weapon

Number 3; When's the last time someone complained about a little water?

Number 4; We are tired of your constant pain Credonia.

This is not a conventional bomb, it doesn't go boom. We drop it, Launch it, or Detonate it, it gets a certain presure, Pop goes the weasel and there's water. If it were a WMD it would go boom, and kill people. We are an independant, free, democratic, capitalist nation. I beileve you can just keep your nose out of our business. When we drop this bomb on a nation, then you can whine.
