The legacy of Whittiers long and bitter civil war was finally laid to rest today as Secretary General Brezhnekov declared today National Reunification Day in commemoration of federal victory over proabortion rebels.
In commemoration of the event, the Whittier Constitution has been amended to permanently ban abortion, but will allow it in emergencies.
Reconstruction of rebel states is under full swing and they have already been readmitted into the union as full partners.
Large celebrations are planned throughtout Whittier. And the Secretary General has declared several sites throughout the nation to be Civil War Memorial Parks. These parks honor those who have died on both sides of the war.
In a speech, Brezhnekov called on proabortion Whittierites to stop supporting terrorist groups and other international thugs and come home to Whittier.
In other news, former rebel leader, now international terrorist Billy Bob Jackson, denounced the celebrations as the depravity of infidels and called for the assassination of Brezhnekov and other world leaders.
