In response to the declining nature of Chinese martial arts around the world, the Jing Wu (Ching Wu) Athletic Association of East Islandia is proud to present the NationStates World Wushu Tournament. This tournament, as stated, is limited to Wushu and all forms of Chinese martial arts, including Sanshou (Wushu sparring), demonstrations, and individual arts, including Choy-Lay Fut, Shaolin Kung Fu, and other notable Chinese chuan'fa (martial arts).

All Wushu teams from all nations are welcome. The compeitition grounds are located in the Islandian Haven, a large, extravagant hotel in the style of Ming Dynasty architecture on the island of Chuang-su, a major commercial center and home to Blue Cloud Temple, a monastery where fighting monks fled to in times of chaos from Mainland China and a home for anti-Ching revolutionaries during the Chinese War of Independence (later 1800s-1911).

Modern Fighting-Xin Dai Quan(New Era of Fighting)
This new technique of fighting was developed by Chinese officers and Revolutionaries during China's revolution(Wuchang Uprising) and also during WWII. This technique is a mixed form of fighting techniques based on Tae Kwan Do. Hit hard and fast, but block all blows without any signs of pain.

After a series of meetings regarding this matter and hours of scruiny over who to send, the Taiwanese Martial Arts Federation will send one man in each division:

Lee Xiao Lung (Bruce)
Age: 24

Trained in martial arts since childhood, Bruce Lee has participated in over 400 fights, winning 376 of them. He is currently developing his own style of kung-fu, which he calls "Tai Kon Quan" (Astronomical fist).

"Taikon Quan" combines modern biophysics with ancient forms and movements to create a lethal style of unarmed combat.

Zhang Fu Guo (Marilyn)
Age: 27

Marilyn was taught spear-fighting by her father, a highly-ranked official in the ROCA (now ROTA). Her focus and determination to be the best has led to her surpassing even the male candidates in this class.

There are also many more divisions other than Sanshou and demonstration, including individual arts, such as taichi, bagua, and wingchun, including a sparring section for each.

Also, we will create a sparring section for weapons;
we are not responsible for any severed limbs.

As the Xiannese nation's greatest Martial Arts experts enter the Royal City, taipeng this Wednesday, many fans and citizens of all-over Xiaguo had came to the palace to cheer while the King had blessed them.
Each man and woman entering the Tournament was blessed by Emperor Kim, "May Buddha's Compassion and Grace go with you."
They all then walked down the marbles steps and a roaring crowd throws flowers and waved banners.
Then Yeh Tai Shao, Chairman of Xiaguo greeted them in a banquet personally and gave them a a Medal for Excelence of Xiaguo.
They now are somewhere in the Pacific almost to arrive to East Islandia where they will find themselves among the Top Martial Arts Fighters in the world..

South Dalania would also like to offer funding and financial backing for this event. Although we regret we cannot participate (our martial arts teams are taekkwondo trained) we would very much like to watch this event. The South Dalanian national taekkwondo team will also be flying in to watch this event in person, as South Dalania is quite interested in exposing its own martial artists to different forms of study.

we welcome all.. for now, the registration is still open, and we will allow the teams to lightly spar each other and train for the upcoming event. The wushu tournament will start on next tues, dec 2 (i think... is that the date?)

I am sorry tosay that I will not be watching the every step of this tournament. I am going to China on November 30th-December 28th, so I will be gone for some weeks!

Sino will also sent its champions of Chinese martial arts.

actually some1 have the excel program with all the shit that figures out who wins what? like the one where they did with the world cup and they have like the winners and stuff?
