The funeral for the former president of the Dominion was marred by not only inclement weather, but the brutal executions of the parliment. It was decided by Dominion Overlord that a new leader required a new government as well. The 32 summary executions were carried out on the nationally televised funeral. All Slain were burried in a communal grave normally reserved for the poor and homeless.
the following day Overlord Leto Destrega the IV adressed the population, pre-empting all broadcasts on all stations.
"People of Destrega, I know Leto the III was an impartial ruler of our land and his memory is still strong within you. I advise you to put it out of your minds. His regeigm is gone and any public conversing of the old ways is outlawed. You will learn to appreciate the opportunities my government will be acting on or you will be jailed. There will be no discussions of unfairness or accusations of cruelty. A new order will begin today and our nation will grow into a glorious state of perfection and order."

Although the overlord's adress to his people was breif, it was clear to many he believed he was just in his actions. Many of the older citizens mourned in private for the loss of Leto the III and many more went as far as far as openly point out the fact his own son had murdered their beloved leader in his sleep.

In the following weeks mandates were passed by the new government and put into action. The most disliked of these was the new law stating everyone, upon attaining their 18th year must join the military for a period of no less that 4 years and for a period of as long as the government felt necissary. People protested this law only to be arrested and sent for re-education. Those who did not accept their new roles were said to have vanished, never to be seen or heard from again.

We hope the current leader of your country will uphold our non agression treaty, made with the old government.
Until we are certain no military expansion of your country will be aimed at our peoples, we can not condone your new government.

National Status,
The Nation of Lundbergia is the current northen most nation in the Alliance, out of all the islands in the chain it is the 5th in size, approximatley 25 square miles. The population of 6 million is distributed between the 9 main cities and 17 small towns 5 military bases, the population distribution, is difficult to track as the populace seems to migrate between these cities depending on season and economic purposes. The island is tundra to the northern most tip and eastern coast A high mountain range seperates the old growth forrests on the west coast of the island, and the south is volcanically active, with approximatly 3 major erruptions every 6 years. The nearest island is accessable by an underwater land bridge 500m wide and only accessable at low tide. To be continued in next instalment.

BREAKING NEWS
This just in the national ambasador to Destraga, was found deceased in his embassy office this morning, the victem of an apparent suicide. Destraga police and Lundbergia investigators, have yet to release anymore information, Again that is Ambasador Lanark dead at 45 he leaves behind a wife and 3 children, funeral will be held in 1 weeks time in hometown funeral.

Reporter Malichi West on live newscast:


'Due to recent events within the borders of Destrega, the Overlord has decreed all ambassadors from foreign nations will be subject to around the clock military guard. When I asked The Overlord's press secretary if this seemed more like a mandate to control Ambassadorial movements within our borders., He replied " Your job is to report the news, not question the governments decisions on this matter"

I was then escorted out of the capital building by seven members of the Overlord's red guard and told to go about my business, or i might be a candidate for re-education'


At this moment several gun shots are heard and the surrounding crowd begins to scatter, the view from the camera shows Malachi West laying on the ground bleeding. An unknown soldier pick up the camera and films the public execution of Reporter west and his camera man.

the screen goes bank for several seconds until the national flag appears with a runnng ticker messege stating National channel 27 has been taken off the air, pending and government investigation of the events that have transpired.

OOC: I know I'm not a member of your Alliance, but I like this kind of stuff (not blowing up small countries, I'm sick of that.)

Premier Bomfy sat at his desk, Deputy Premier Kate Juno and Chief General Jason Taylor sat opposite him.

"I cannot believe such administrative corruption still exists in this world." commented Bomfy after reading the report about the events in Destrega, "Isn't there anything we can do to help these people?"

"Well, we could launch an air offesive against them--" said Taylor before he was cut off by Juno.

"We can't do that, that would place us in a very actionable position for breach of international law since we would be ignoring another state's sovereignty."

There was a short pause as the General stopped to think, Bomfy broke the silence, "Well, how about we accept any citizens of Destrega who wish to seek refugee asylum within our nation, that way we could save as many people as we could short of going in and occupying the nation."

"I like that idea, but I don't think it's enough... we should also provide the transportation and protection for the people's voyage, that way we look even better." added Juno.

"Alright, I like it... contact the press, time to tell the world what we're going to do." ordered Bomfy.

As soon as news reached the people of the island of peaceful co-existance a unanamous vote was reach in parliment to send anything they could spare to the people of destrega. It was the first time in decades any action like this has been taken on behalf of the destregan peoples.

Lady Milosan: I only hope this time our diplomatic core are not arrested as criminals. It would be a shameful time to think Overlord Leto the IV is no better than his father.

Lady Aloran: The Destregan government ia and has always been a despotic government bent on keeping their people under the subgegated rule of a tyrrant. We can expect nothing else from them.

Lady Milosan: Shall i ask permission to arm our diplomats?

Lady Aloran: We have never had the need to do so before and we will not do so now. We are a peaceful nation and i will not change that fact.



A goup of 200 volunteers set sail for Destrega and begin making plans on how best to help the people. the will reach the island nation of Destrega in 2 days, unless stopped due to weather conditions or show of military force.

Field Reporter John Blakewell,
The Bay of Loss on the north-east end of the island has been quardened off at 1700 November 25, due to a possible nerv agent leak at the SCTC military base, durring a routine dismanteling. no word yet on casulties. but the military has blocked off a 4 mile strech of the coast including two neighbouring military bases and the town of Dendalberg. the bases have been unactive except for special training and manuvers for the past 8 months, but have been re-activated in the last 2 months to near full operation. No reporters are allowed near the site and all air traffic over the area is alos forbidden. There will be a general press conferance at 7 am tomarrow. For now this is John Blakewell on site. Upon landing safely in the nation of Nocturnea I disposed all identification that would betray me as a Destregan military officer. I proceeded to the contact area and met the Nocturnea equivelent of myslef.
After discussing the proposed objective with him, he decided to ammend the already decided price we had arranged for the task. Acting of my own accord i accepted his new price, took possession of the documents and eliminated all "loose" ends that might lead back to Destrega.
I will return to the homeland as soon as possible. hopefully I have served the Overlord well.

The Destregan Flag appears on the screen fading slowly to reveal the DNNS news room. Emma Dalstrom sits behind the desk as she waits for the Okay to proceed with the broadcast.

"Greeting people of Destrega. We have had a rough time with the accidental shooting of field reporter Malichi West and his camera man. The Overlord's press Secretary has ensured us this was an isolated incident and will not be repeated. They have provided this news cast with security camera footage that shows how the incident occured."

the screen shifts to a grainy(and obviously doctored) doctored video of Reporter West and his camera man out sit the capitol building. As West is filmong broadcasting his report it appears as if he reaches into his inner jacket pocket and removes a pistol. The Red Guard take action and fire upon West and his Camera man.

"it was purely a mistake on all parties behalf. The Red guard soldiers involved have been disciplined after a review by the minister of military affairs. They will be transfered to the southern shore and placed back into general status, losing all rights and priviledges they had as Red Guard.

In related news the Overlord's office has decreed any and all citizens who are unhappy with the decisions made from this tragic incident may file for a travelers visa and emmigrate from the nation of Destrega. This offer will only be in effect for the first 3,000 people to apply.


Finally in closing of this news cast we have words from the overlord himself."


The screen clears to a view of the Overlord's Office with Leto the IV sitting behind his desk. He is in partial shadow only allowing his form to be made out.

"Destregan people, as of the 9 pm this evening we will be instating martial law. Anyone found outside between the hours of 9 pm and 6 am will be detained for questioning. If they are found not to be in violation of any laws they will be sent on their way. I am doing this only for the safety of the people and the diplomatic envoys currently within our boarders. I sincerely hope you understand i am doing this for your safety. I wish you all a good night and hope that you remember everything the government does IS on your behalf"


The screen fades to the image of the national flag.

Proceed to NS Alliance waters, 30km off coast of Destraga>Stop. Begin patrol, unfriendlies in area> Stop. Avoid contact with Destraga Military>Stop. Radio Silence in affect>Stop Next Contact in 1400 Hours>Stop.

Destregan airial survelance scout report:

Ships sighted near Destregan waters, unable to identify national origin.
Will keep watch and report further movements. Request permission to fire upon if vessels do not retreat from waters ....

IC:- The President of Seran sat back into his chair and sighed,
"i never knew a country could still turn into a dictatorship.... still, he hasn't committed genocide yet so i guess there is nothing to say, give him my greetings, we wish them the best of luck in setting up their new government."

OOC the alliance is a group of friends who wanted to have our own region. We are trying to see if the actions of our nations will lead to a war. And it would seem it just might...

Almon : Leto, we have suspisions that Nocturnea might have found out about our aquisition of classified documents they have been supressing from their peoples.

Leto: Who is we? Besides yourself I mean?

Almon: well my entire department and the minister of diplomatic affairs.


Leto nods slowly and clicks the intercom button on his desk.

Leto: Send a clean-up crew to remove all staff members from the special research department, and to clean the private household of minister Eltar. Once they have finished have them report to lab 17 for debriefing.

Sectretary: Yes Overlord, as you command.

Almon stands quietly, not certain exactly what this means until he realizes he has just sealed the fate of his entire department and the family of his best friend.

Almon: I assume I am relieved of duty?

a single gunshot rings out from the overlord's office. Three Red Guard members rush in.

Leto: Take care of that for me.... I have to annouce the unfortunate loss of key members of the government and begin the election process to replace them.

Guard leader: Yes overlord.

The red guard remove the body of minister Almon, as Leto sits quietly behind his desk.

Leto (speaking into his intercom): Give the order to one of our tesla class frigates to sink any ships in our water ways. No survivors..

Sectretary: Anything else you wish Overlord?

Leto: Some coffee would be nice........

Captian Hiroto of the Katana, stands infront of the elite air-strike team, Duces Wild, in the breifing room.

Katana: Gentelmen our orders are a simple one, to act as detterant against any single nations interests affecting this alliance, to this end the implementation of this is risky at best. One of our Hannibal subs the Congile reported Destraga military forces headed towards unarmed aid vessels in their waters. Our mission is to fly interfearance, with the Congile and Benevolent, we will attempt to diswade any offence against these ships, the Newly restored 1st task force will be arriving in 1 day. We only need to convince the enemy that attacking now would prove self destructive, I want full air cover above the ships, these are no longer neutral waters we are sailing in, but as long as the alliance holds we will have reason to be here. Any questions?

Capt. Shepard: And if it isn't enough for them sir?

The silence is quicly cleared by chairs being pushed back from tables as the unit heads to it's launching catipults.

Katana'a eyes turn to the map, his son was one of the recon team that was last to be lost in the first war before Leto III came to power, if the alliance did fail today he'd be all to happy to send everyone of the red gaurd to meet him.

From the bridge of the transport vessel Glorious Light a warning sounds.

"captain, whe have spotted a Vessle, Tesla class frigate." the Mate sounds scared as he continues "It's the Violator, And her weapons are charging"

The Captain nods slowly and stands. "Give the order to drop camoflage, If they want a fight, we will bring one to them. Have the main batteries manned and move the 'cargo' to the skimmers. I want everyone ready in less than 1 minute"


The ship shimmers slightly as it reveals itself to be an antiquated battleship. It's main guns training on the Destregan Vessel.

"this is Captain Kolosovok, of the battleship Glorious Light, we have met with Destregan resistance are preparing to engage. The advance scouts will use skimmers to continue towards the Destregan shore." Looking towards his youthful crew "We can not allow the skimmers to be stopped at any cost"


"Main guns ready Captain...... should we fire?" the Mate's voice barely heard over the klaxxons on the bridge


"Let them get closer.. It's the only chance we have of inflicting any damage on their armour"

Nocturnea forest:


Night, a time most visitors of Nocturnea quickly learn to avoide unless in large groups.
Sadly for one Derrix Jerlor of Peaceful Co-existance he is learning this lesson far too late. Running head long in the darkness of the forest he glances over his shoulder to check if he is still being followed. That is his undoing, for he never sees the plague carrier that attacks him. It ends quickly with his death. The Plague carrier drags his prey back to his family and watches as his wife and children feed. When they have finished he in turn feeds and buries the body. As clamness returns to them they wash and dress before returning to their home in the city.

the Man sits at his desk and begins working on a new ad campaign for the Nocturnea Travel bureau.

From the looks of it, this RP has officially died. good riddence and all that.... there will be no more posts from destrega in this thread and hopefully someone will have the good sense to remove it so it no longer takes up space
