The Orcus Incident (Necromancia Internal Politics RP)

OOC Post

To all Nations in Necromancia . . .

This thread will be used for Internal Politicking in Necromancia. The first international incident is the Orcus Incident. This is a debate between the Demon Queen of the Rogue Nation of Metzengerstein, and the Dictator of The Dominion of Kristophan, The Revered Son of Orcus Colin Kistophus.

Enjoy!
=============================

It has come to my attention that the Rogue Nation of Metzengerstein is too close to the Dominion of Necromantic Crazies, and their Liche Ruler, S. Morgenstern, is making something called a "move" action without seeking the consent of the Demon Queen.

S. Morgenstern has hotly denied such a political move, but has not denied building an army of skeletons and zombies. How may we proceed?

Zombies and skeletons? Sounds like godmodding but

Beef up border patrol and if they attack you for no reason send us a t-gram.

Before any hostilities are declaired by any of the nations of Necromancia, I would like to point out that it was Queen Erica of Metzengerstein who began this debate by decrying the Dominion of Kristophan as a "Tyrannical" nation!

We are far from such, and I move that the other rulers of Necromancia back me in calling for sanctions against Metzengerstein!

OOC: It does, doesn't it? Necromancia is the Unofficial Necromancer Games region where we Necrotics enjoy the game in a D&D context. Undead Legions are normal in a region like this. 8)

I say we wait until Metzengerstein has a chance to say what she would like to say.

Don't you think Queen Erica has said enough?!

No other nation would stand for this outrage! It is thankful that we are not a nation interested in war and bloodshed!

Are you suggesting a U.N. Resolution? Or is this to be handled by our little family?

I think Queen Erica should get an Un-Life!

Baratia, the island state remains a strong center of commerce. Yet, our land-based forces are weak. Trade remains very active. Undead trade barges are being operated at full capacity. Piracy rates are also high, and the black market is thriving. Given the amount money we rulers are making in these endeavors, I would suggest sanctions as appropriate punishment.

The ruling body of Metzengerstein, the House of Usher, issues an apology to Kristophan for the unfortunate comments of Queen Erica. It was not her intention to engender hostilities from other nations of Necromancia. Although we stand by our democracy and the offer of asylum for political dissidents from Kristophan still stands, we regret any damage Queen Erica's statements may have done to local treaties within the region of Necromancia.

The Dominion of Necromantic Crazies may move past Metzengerstien without fear of an attack of opportunity, but only under the supervision of our border patrol and only if the DNC has no intention of hostilities against other nations of Necromancia.

Should the DNC attempt such maneuvers without complying to the above limitations, action may be taken to prevent it.

The nation of Kristophan accepts this apology, in the hopes that further conflict can be avoided. Peace is better than conflict.

We retract our previous desire for sanctions against Metzengerstein.

OOC: Yes, ordinarily it would be godmodding, but the players who put together the region of Necromancia are D&D gamers. We accept the existance of magical creatures and such in our region, and are ok with that.

To other nations: When I RPG-deal with other nations outside of Necromancia, I will take a more real-world stance for the sake of not god-modding.

*Rubbs his head, and smiles.**
Alright. I agree. Everyone, shall we allow Queen Erica off the hook? Or shall we demand a sacrifice to Tsathogga or Orcus?

Although I for my part wish no further part in this, my advisor from the Unholy Church of Orcus seeks reperations but I will go with what the majority seek.

International Network News.

November 25th 2003.

It has recently come to light, that the Dominion of Kristophan, formerly a reclusive nation in Necromancia has begun making friendly overtones to a nation located in the North Pacific.
In a document leaked to INN today, it appears that The Dominion of Kristophan and The Armed Republic of Boetsville have begun a trade agreement and exchange of law enforcement technologies.

Is this the beginning of something new from infamous "Papa-Doc" Colin Kristophus? Analysists in Washington think that this may be a political move following the recent tension caused in Necromancia by loose words from the The Rogue Nation of Metzengerstein yesturday.
25-11-2003, 19:59
The Dominion also made inquiries on the possiblity of joining the United Nations. I do not know what consequences this will have. Putting a temporal power above that of mighty Orcus might have repercussions. That is not threat, but just an idle observation.
25-11-2003, 20:04
The United Nations are an anarchist's club. There's too many member nations for us to join. Enjoy your soup.

On behalf of our wise and beloved leader, his omnipotence Greenus, we ask that Queen Erica's firstborn child be sacrificed to Orcus as a reparation for her outrageous insults against the wise leader of the Dominion of Kristophan.

In case Queen Erica has no children, we recommend sacrificing the firstborn child of every second family in ToH-Land / Metzengerstein.

Long live Greenus!

It does not matter at all what I want. All that counts are our wise and beloved leader's wishes.

Also, we think that some military service might help you to see how direspectful your objection was formulated. We hope a military intervention from our side will not be necessary to teach you some more pleasing manners.

We are not amused.

Long live Greenus!

Piecus, Minister of Trade, War, and Inner Affairs

The unfortunate comments I made when I was acting as a representative of Metzengerstein have been addressed. The nation of Metzengerstein has left Necromancia for the Iron League, and will have no further dealings with this region.

Further, Colin Kristophan and I have reached an accord regarding our differences of opinion regarding forms of government. Any further discussion or debate will only re-enflame the argument. No one wants to see Necromancia break down into internal conflict, so I must ask you to let the issue stand as it has been resolved.

However, I will say that TOH-Land will never agree to the sacrifice of its children. We are as faithful to Orcus and Tsathoggha as any other nation in Necromancia, but we will not slaughter our own people on the whim of Oldmark. If Orcus wants our children, he will tell us himself!

Any further threats of action against TOH-Land will result in a monster embargo against Oldmark, and I will petition other nations in Necromancia to uphold the embargo. Since TOH-Land is Necromancia's primary provider of the monsters with which you populate your dungeons, such an embargo will have dire consequences for Oldmark. A monster embargo would likely result in Oldmark losing many of its national treasures to looters, as its dungeons and ruins will be unguarded.

Please carefully consider any further hostile remarks against our great nation.

Thank you.

Demon Regent of TOH-Land

Our wise and beloved leader, his omnipotence Greenus, herewith declares the conflict with Queen Erica Templata of TOH-Land as settled. Our former Minister of Trade, War, and Inner Affairs, Piecus, acted without authority. To show our good will, Minister Piecus has been beheaded and replaced with me, Piecus II.

Furthermore, our leader points out the high quality and usefulness of monsters from TOH-Land.

However, his omnipotence still demands an apology from Promthea Iapetia for his ambassador's lose tongue.

Long live Greenus!

What? You insist on giving us a written apology? Excellent!

Your populace, weakened through endless debates and mindless liberalism wouldn't stand a chance against our well trained and determined elite troops. Every single one of our soldiers is ready to give his life for our wise and beloved leader.

Long live Greenus!
