AK-109 Assault Rifle

Continuing its designing and selling of military equipment for income, Kazakhstania has decided to have a crack at producing an Assault Rifle for general sale. We have come up with the Advanced Low Cost Infantary Weapon (ALCIW) that will be given to most of our infantary divisions and put up for general sale.

It uses the 7.62mm NATO ammo which is used worldwide as standard ammo. It uses the best points from several weapons, to produce a powerful, durable but practical weapon. It uses some good old techniques in building, including a strong barrel, receiver and cleaning system and light stock and firing area.

It uses mostly steel, and fibreglass cannot be seen anywhere. It also has a carrying handle which can be used to mount a Nightsight or scope. It is greande launcher compatable with the universal M203 grenade launcher, which fires 40mm rounds.

We announce to you, the AK-109 'Sabre' Assault Rifle

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-11/502999/AK-47.JPG

There is not much left to say. It has strong muzzle velocity and a high ROF meaning it can down a soldier. Also, its failry lengthy barrel means accuracy to almost 200m. We hope you like it, and wish to purchase for your armed forces.

Caliber: 7.62 NATO
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt with 2 lugs
Overall length: 796 mm
Barrel length: 415 mm
Weight, with empty magazine: 3.3kg
Magazine: Standard is 30 rounds. 20 round prone firing and 200 rounds ouble drums can be loaded.
Cyclic: 600 rounds per minute
Maximum effective range: About 550 meters
Rates fo Fire: Single Round, 3 Shot Burst or Full Auto

Thankyou.

That weapon is F.U.B.A.R! NATO ain't using 7.62mm rounds no more! It's 5.56x45mm, get it right! But the Chinese 5.8x42mm kicks ass.

BUMP

Hey everyone look! Some n00b made the AK look even n00ber. LOL!!!
25-11-2003, 04:00
OOC: Sino, there were a WHOLE BUNCH Of AK weapons made, though the highest number was the AK-107, a Small-Size Assault Rifle.

OOC:

Since the 7.62x51mm NATO round is more powerful than the original 7.62x39mm Russian round, and your barrel and receiver are stronger, it would make sense that the effective range of this rifle would be greater than that of the original weapon. A realistic effective range would be ~500 - 600 meters. Of course, it is important to note that the magazine that you edited in is a 5.56mm mag. You might want to fix that.

Well the AK74/100 series fire 5.56 NATO and 5.45 Eastern Bloc ammunitions. The 7.62X51 is too powerful of a cartridge, full auto is completly out of the question for an assault rifle.

May I remind you that the AK-47 and AKM assault rifle use the 7.62x39 mm round. And they have been fired many times in the past on full auto, without a hitch.

The hard, ridgid frme means full auto on the 7.62x51mm round possible. Full auto is not usually used by infantary (burst and single shot are more commonly used) and burst and single shot can be used with greater effect.

We hold our picture, as the mag used in it has been lengthened and widened in the modifying process (in MS paint :D ).

Any orders I have had is confirmed.

Eatmorechiken 25% is still a very high number America spends on average 5.7% (or something like that) and russia still only spent around 9%. Most money goes on domestic issues.
Kazakhstania
26-11-2003, 18:30
Still.

During the cold war Russia spent damn near 25%.

And in NS, it is constantly the Cold War.

I don't know about you all-steel constrution. Wouldn't it make the rifle too heavy? Most rifles now have at least some plastic or fiberglas. I don't know, but its a pretty good looking gun.
Kazakhstania
26-11-2003, 18:39
Ah, mostly steel.

It ahs some wood. Also, any plastic on it is reinforced with steel.

Please have mercy and buy some!

25% is a 'slightly tense peace time' expenditure for your average country. In times of war spending hits over 90% for the military.
27-11-2003, 11:51
We will need 25,000 to arm our small Ground force. That will be 500*25,000=$12,500,000.

AK-109 seems a bit heavy considering its mostly steel which would surely take down on the accuracy since the soldier couldnt steady his weapon as easily.

We'll take 1 million for $500,000,000
Kazakhstania
28-11-2003, 20:08
Yes, but the added weight allows for less recoil.

Order confirmed, and NO the sale rights are NOT for sale.

Anyway, Dolcala, some of it is made of plastic (a hell of a lot of it, handle, mount etc) reinforced with steel.

The german MG3 is, imho, one of the best machine guns in the world, even with its age, and it uses NATO 7.62x51mm ammunition. It may not be standard for assault rifles, but its still a standard round.

Greater Deztrikav is a small, newly formed country, but we need defenses too. How do you determine what a nation's budget will be? If someone can tell me, I will buy these guns right away.
