I want a few men to use the damn stingers as much as possible. The J-22s are getting a lock and follow up on the jeeps, that is all that matters. Our camo will only keep us as hidden as possible, but keep on the move and fire.

ooc stingers dont work so well when the aircraft is flying directly over you, meanwhile.

IC: any missile launches are met with evasive manuvers and a copious dispersion of flares. the A-10s and harriers eventually leave to re-arm, but he Mi-24's shoot at anything that moves, includeing a man standingto launch a stinger, Jahagyarian forces lay covering fire to keep Dezarian forces down aswell.

OOC thus the flares, but they are also very short range, only good for a few clicks at most, it takes awile for the sensor to lock onto a heat signature as well, ans dureing stafreing runs you fly in a line over your target.

They make a run for the abandon base in hope to take cover.

My personnel guard continues to make the march, hopefully my general will send a few humvee's airlifted. We watch the J-22s fly overhead, tracking down the jeeps.

OOC: Stingers are passive infared. They are fire-and-forget weapons. At least the newer variations are. The older "Redeye" units required the shooter to keep the weapon system pointed at the target. Flares are the usual counter-measure, but ambient fires can throw them off as well.


Rosak bombing runs cease as BMD-3s and T-80 tanks begin to engage the remaining Dezarius ground forces.

120 BMD-3s and 20 T-80s disperse along a wide front and move in.

General Duran back at the main line: We cannot hold this line anymore. Make a slow retreat back to the capital, keep our backs to the capital and our front to the enemy, keep firing too! I am really considering to mobilize the entire army......

As the J-22's come within range, the squadrons of Su-37s and F-16s dive down upon the hapless aircraft, looseing R-73 Vympel and AIM-9x sidewinder missiles upon them in a rain of destruction.

Of the ten J-22s, two made it out. The rest went down in a burning blaze, they couldn't even eject out intime. One is okay, the crew and systems a bit shaken, the second took some damage, he knows he won't make it on the trip home. They increase their speed, preparing to take another assault. The jeeps are within view now, but time is on the hands. They begin to randomly launch their munitions at the enemy position, knowing of a small chance of victory.

The Su-37s and F-16s, down to their last few missiles and guns swoop in for the last pair, in a line they launch one missile at a time and then pass as close as possible to fire their 20mm cannons.

Out of the irradiated carnage of the capital, stumbled 15 of what had been an elite squad of 70 before the blast had hit. although they had had time to activate their armour, the rest had not been so lucky. the blast either incinerated them or the rubble crushed them.

All of the forces KalEtch sent to aid the rogues were vanquished in the nuclear attack by the Emperor, but suprisingly the homeless have lasted a lot longer than expected. Faring well against infantry they are determined to continue fighting..

As Adornian forces approach the capital, they are horrified by the sheer destruction.

5 tiger Copters hover of the smo0king debris of the captial, searching....

"General, this is Commander Walker in the RSC 'Champion'."

Looking at his map, Admiral Duster stabs a finger at a city and smiles "This is the new capital, roll out all ground forces for this location, set up a defensive perimeter and start assisting civilians with reconstruction."

At this command the entiere 288 BMP-3 fighting vehicles, 144 T-90 tanks and Mi-24 helicopters pick up as many of the 55,000 marines as they can and start advanceing along with 6 of the mobile AA platforms.

In the skys a watchful umbrella of F-16 and Su-37 fighters roam in search patterns, looking for any enemy activity...One particularily sharp Su-37 pilot spots several moveing dots on the ground and dives in to investiagte. As he nears his eyes widen in suprise as he spots two helicopters "Incomeing enemy helicopters at my co-ordinates!" he shouts over the radio, flipping his transponder to becon mode for other fighters to home in on.

"Valor, this is Commander Walker. We have bogeys coming in at 5 and 7-o-clock. Looks like F-16 and Su-37 fighters from Jahagyar.'

"We see them. Its Admiral Duster's men. What are our orders?"

"We're outgunned, but we're stealth. Go into invisi-mode 4 and head into the capital."

"Maybe, but lets see if we can get those Seran Tigers onside. Lets make this a bit more fair."

The pilot of the tracking Su-37 rolls his eyes as the copters go to passive radar mode, makeing them all but invisible, with the exception of the tiny IR signature they have, but that's all he needs, calling out to the F-16s he says "Give em a few sidewidners up the tailpipe"

The three responding falcons streak by his canopy, aquireing locks and releaseing one missile each.

The f-16s grinned as the helo's went down, then broke off to return to base for re-arming.

"This is President Valient from the Commonwealth of Valient."

"My countrymen, this is a day of reckoning for us all. Today at approximately 4 a.m. pacific time, two Royal Stealth Choppers were shot down while in the middle of a search and rescue mission. The culprit? the nation of Jahagyar. We as a people cannot let this act of war go unpunished. My countrymen, I am formally declaring war against Jahagyar and any other nations allied with her. This will be a trying time for us all, but there is a greater evil that must be dealt with."

"With that, I would like to extend my hand to any nations involved in this conflict to send envoys to Valient so that we can discuss the best plan of action."

Rodasnian troops have also reached the smoking rubble of the former capitol, and realising thathis is no longer their objective, spread out and begin combing the sorrounding countryside for governemnt die-hards.

Blackhawk Helicopters have been deployed and are flying search missions over the area, while Apaches provide close ground support.

the copters sprayed out de-radiating foam before landing and rushed to help a couple of stranded civilians, clutching their new-born baby in the midst of a smashed hospital.....

THe patrolling aircraft receive the transmisison and make note, continueing to circle about the entire nation with watchful eyes searching for any aircraft that would enter without permission.

*4 squadrons of Royal Stealth fighters scramble as the communique is sent out. Each sqadron consists of 9 fighters. All are heading towards the ruined capital. Orders are pending.

**A voice crackles to life, over all channels**
This is General Hiryuu of the Confederate Armies of Rosak.
I am speaking on behalf of my own nation, and that of our allies, the Nation of Jahagyar.

Scythirus is now under the control of Allied forces and Freedom Fighters.
The remains of this corrupt State are in the final stages of being purged. Soon the rebuilding will begin, and the people of Scythirus will be able to breathe easily, knowing that thier oppressors are no more.

We have shown the so called Emperor of Scythirus to be nothing more than a psychopathic tyrant. His people rose up against him, and he greeted them with the horrors of bio-weaponry. Allies came to the peoples aid, and he responded with nuclear force.

Even now, he cowers, careing nothing for his people. He continues to sacrifice thier lives to prolong his pathetic existance.

We ask that all parties here come together, to rebuild this nation. Many have given thier lives gladly here, and many more are still willing to keep up the fight if need be. But I feel that the time has come to give back to Scythirus what is rightfully thiers!

The Future of this nation will be decided by its own people!
Both Rosak and Jahagyar are willing to see the reconstruction through to the end, we will remain as long as the people of Scythirus require us. Already, we have begun to organize a new Capital, out of the fetid ashes of the old!

We know there are more nations active here, they have arrived too late for the fighting, but are just in time for the most important part, the rebuilding! We ask that these nations declare themselves to us, to avoid any accidents! You must understand our position. We are fighting a madman, who has used every underhanded tactic possible, at the cost of his own peoples lives! **The transmission crackles and ends**

K-8 Karakorums were refueling at a temporary base stationed near the ruins of Jihamed. Upon getting word of intruders into the thought to be secure capital, a thousand of the refueled planes took off and began their assault on the enemy aircraft. Still they fought for the Emperor, still they fought for the old regime.

Meanwhile, deep in the Emperor's bomb shelter, though unable to send out radio transmissions, they could still receive them and send and receive telegraph messages. Scythirus' ally, Abadan, had stated that it would send 600,000 soldiers to aid the Emperor's cause and help secure the capital.

In other cities, towns, and villages throughout the country as remaining government soldiers watched over surviving citizens, the propaganda pamphlets were received with mixed results. Some decided to listen, others, were so diehard devoted to the government, refused to listen. Internal strife took over and fighting in the streets broke out among soldier and citizen alike.

The rebel jeeps escaped the Dezarius forces, owing to the intervention provided by Jahagyar. Now they roved through the desert as they head for another hidden rebel base. Hope began to refill Qotor's heart as he heard reports over the jeep radio about the propoganda pamphlets causing parts of Scythirus to renounce Krildahd's old regime.

But Krildahd was still alive. He knew it... somewhere in Scythirus still.

as the K-8s took to the air the Jahgyarian Rosak radar network came to life, all the mobile SAM trucks parked and began tracking the nearest aircraft. fighters broke into formations and begin circleing the Scythian fighters, missiles computeing fireing solutions.

Several K-8s were hit by the SAMs and went down, crashing into the rubble. Others opened fire on the positions of where the missiles originated from and once fueled up, more K-8s took for the sky to aid in the battle for Jihamed.

The Abadanese soldiers moved swiftly over Scythirus' border as they made their way toward the capital.

Direct Transmission from President Valient to Scythirus:

"We are here to help in your cause. Your cause is just, and the insurgents must fall.

4 squadrons of Royal Stealth fighters are approaching the battle zone at top speed. We will arrive within the hour. Hold your position..."

one sam truck is hit by return fire before turning it's radar off and moveing, the rest manage to survive and reset up, meanwhile Su-37s and F-16s begin opening fire with missiles upon the K-8 aircraft.


Jahagyarian ground forces turn around and head back for base, heading a recall order, helicopters begin pickign troops up along the way while several small units are left behin, each with a map to a friendly city where they will begin training guerilla resistance.

OOC the country was pretty much leveled, the capital was nuked, government forces are seriously wounded but they have 600,000 reinforcements on the way, Jahagyar and Rosak own the seas and the air. And the civilian population if in arms over the rebellion, some supporting rebels some government forces, Rosak and jahagyarian leaflets and food include a stamped 45 caliber pistol to kill government forces and take their wepons.

Rosak forces withdraw, and begin a return to thier home ports.


**Encrypted communique to the Freedom Fighters**

The Emperor has called in his allies, and our small nation cannot hope to defeat them in open combat, too many civiallians would be at risk. Instead, we are going underground. Guerilla warfare... Civillian clothed operators from the Rosak 109th counter-insurgency group begin inserting themselves into local populations. Most Airdropped over desloate areas and countryside, others ariveing by small watercraft near coastal cities. They begin to assist and organize.

Supply networks are constructed using Island chains as cover. Even though Rosak appears to have pulled out of the fight, in reality they are sending more help then ever, in the form of weapons and supplies. Rosak begins purchaseing weapons from the open market, and locally producing unmarked, and easily made AK-M rifles.

Making it's way into the hands of the Freedom Fighters so far are:

10,000 AK-M rifles with enough ammunition for 3 magazines each.

5,000 AT-13 Metis-M Antitank Guided Missile Systems. Launcher and 4 Missiles per unit.

400 1lb units of C4 explosive, with primers and detonators

300 Civillian Light Pickup trucks

In compliment to the Rosak airdrops, several c-130s fly nape of the earth under the still present fighter cover to make airdrops containing

10,000 FAL battle rifles, several magazines worth of ammo each and reloading gear to prolong ammunition use.

50 flatbed 2 and a half ton trucks.

5,000 crates of anti personel hand grenades

1,000 claymore Anti Personell mines.

The RSFs locate a small canyon on the outskirts of the destroyed capital. They land and set up a small base under level 1 camo/stealth (for ground troops). They await orders from Royal HQ.

We've also intercepted leaflets that state groups are planning to reorganise and fight with guerilla tactics."

"Remember, this won't be a calk walk, other than vehicles or troops CLEARLY marked as allies, must be taken as a hostile and treated as such. I never said i got past your radar, you never did anything to try and stop me, the GAU-8 fires at 3,900 RPM or 65 rounds a second, thats more than enough to kill anytihng it hits.

This implies you have allready struck and retreated, meaning my only response was to report casualties and what I did to retaliat during the fly by (for the approach had allready happened). Furthermore, at a full speed fly by your lucky for it to last 2-3 seconds while at the same time trying to compensate for AA fire and the other planes about. Also, I did not godmod, I took damage as I saw viable to the situation I did not say:

You never even said you had radar in the first place, your convoy didnt have air escort as I read it, and 30mm DU API slugs are not going to bounce off of your armor, you are being ignored.

What you have here is 36 Royal Stealth Fighters. They may seem pithy in comparison to what you have here commander, but our capabiities are unmatched. Our radar can see the flea on a rat 1000 kms away, and our stealth capabilities will be an asset to your troops.

So yes I did have escorts and yes I did have radar. As to bouncing, some will, the angle of attack=slopped armor. Furthermore, it would be hard to see them in the first place because of the dust produced by the colume (not the colume but individual APC etc) because it IS Iran and thats a bunch of sand. As to ignoring me fine, one less person to RP combat with.

And if you wish to unignore me I'd sugest to post your losses from the stinger missiles than to continue yelling at me for my "godmoding" armor.

The K-8 Karakorum aircraft continue their raid to reclaim Jihamed. More planes fell, but fire was continued on the remaining Jahagyar forces. Meanwhile remaining Scythirian troops in the city were taking advantage of the realized air support and opened fire on the enemy from the rubble and ruin. Also the 600,000 Abadanese soldiers were only miles away from Jihamed now.

At the country's coast, the port city of Abu-Dahbi was not so easily approached. There were still plenty of Scythirus' small KvP-92 watercraft guarding it, and when the small Rosak boats approached the port, the Scythirian Navy engaged them in battle.

In other cities, citizens and soldiers loyal to the government continued their struggle against the citizens and soldiers that renounced it. Skirmishes filled their streets, trading blows without too much of a difference made. In some cities, the loyals fell back; in others, the rebels fell.

Kaltios the second: I may have killed my father for polticial reasons, but I only pulled out of this war to regroup. I play on finishing in this war. We're deploying our main forces on the beach head, with:

*As VRAF forces depart for new theatres, the remaining aircraft enter Jihamed with guns blazing. Stealth Fighters launch a blistering attack on suspected Jahagyar positions with M61A2 20mm cannons, and Bombers launch their payloads of V-1s. Meanwhile, the Choppers breakoff to rendezvous with Valient troops already in the city looking for WMDS.

Our forces rejoin at a small camp we had to use for a permenant base. The set up sandbags and 50 calibers, keep their stingers close. All our air units were at a nearby public airfield. We awaited to know what has happened since our leave.

The Abadanese soldiers arrived at Jihamed's northern extension, unloaded their supplies and gear before moving in to secure it for the government forces. With other allies sending in troops and the air support from the Scythirus jets, 600,000 soldiers was more than enough numbers to secure the capital.

Down in his bomb shelter, Emperor Krildahd Voramix laughed in triumph. His rule over Scythirus was not yet over. The rebels would be crushed and he could continue his reign unopposed. And he never had to use his elite force yet, either.

The march across the desert was a success, for they now were at the city limit. They prepared for what may come.

IC:A small, dark helicopter flies low over a field of wheat. It landed on the edge of a city that resembled a place where an atom bomb had been dropped. Once it was over the city,6 ropes fell from the helicopter and 6 dark shapes rappelled down.

The helicopter flew off,leaving the shapes standing there. Several seconds later another shape came from the shadows to meet them. There was a second of silence, and then they melted into the shadows...

The 2 tiger copters landed on a valientian landing post and deposited their cargo:- 37 Nuclear and biological warheads. Without a word spoken, they moved off and engaged the ion engines and screamed towards the sunset

Pack up, we are moving to Skeltch. I want the M1A1 Abrahms to meet us a mile from there. Make sure your rifles are clean and ready. Lets go.

Oh yes, if any of you need weaponary, whom are working for government, Bokaslavia is giving free weapons to us, request what he has in store.

We usually use the M1A1 Abrahm Battle Tank, but if you don't sell those, maybes a trade. Exchange our current tanks for yours?

We could give them a K-1 passive armor upgrade for battle if you need.

We currently do not need M1A1 we have a 1,000 of them. we may with in a not to distant future consider replacing them with M95 dregman when the productionlines are fully operational.

"Our forces are regrouping and are moving into Skeltch to secure it. Within time, days at the least, Scythirus should be under your full control once more."

"Excellent. Those rebels will be like insects under my boot." The Emperor cackled madly in glee.

Outside, 100,000 of the Abadanese troops would stay to keep Jihamed secure, while the other 500,000 would march to Skeltch with the other government allied forces. Scythirus itself would send a few of its remaining tanks and APCs in the area.

We rejoined with the Abrahms and prepared for the assault. We just needed a confirmation of what was in the city from the J-22s. They'd show up any minute now.

OOC: Sorry it took so long. I don't recall ever saying that we took the city. My Stealth fighters went in with guns blazing, and left it for Jahagyar to respond. Sicythirus said that we took the city, not I :wink:

"The Abadanese soldiers arrived at Jihamed's northern extension, unloaded their supplies and gear before moving in to secure it for the government forces. With other allies sending in troops and the air support from the Scythirus jets, 600,000 soldiers was more than enough numbers to secure the capital." See pg 17.



*As Sicythirus, Dezarius, Mikosolf, Seran, Chagal and Bokaslavia forces head toward Skeltch to secure it, the remaining RVAF planes fly over the convoy, keeping an eye on the situation. They have come too far to turn back now. They knew the gathered force under them would be more than enough to crush the insurgents.

*With a buzz from the VRAF Stealth Fighter-1, Captain Johnson smiled...

This is how its going to work. 25 tanks on each side, slowly enter. I want troops on each of their sides and in every block. I want to have four apaches in there ripping apart any building with rebels in them. Don't even worry about hitting them, rip the building apart with machinegun fire. Only do it to buildings no higher than two stories.

Let our aircraft use laser-precision incendiary bombs to pinpoint the buildings then fire a missile that hits the building and then superheats the building using special ion charger, it will reduce casulties to a minimum

AT 3AM several Jahagyarian C-130s will fly NOE useing ground clutter to hide themselves form radar, they will be air dropping wepons to the rebels in skeltch includeing FAL battle rifles and Javelin Anti-tank missiles.

The rebels received the weapons and prepped them to use against the approaching government forces. The rebels would not back down without a fight. As soon as the enemy was sighted, the rebels would open fire.

No nation should have to suffer the stuipdidy of one group!

*the troops advance slowly into the city, they kept a close eye on every building* Apaches incoming. Remember, anything that moves and is not wearing allied colors, mow down. You got that?

Pilot: Yes sir.

At that moment, fire was opened on Dezarius' troops from ruined buildings. Elsewhere in Skeltch, the Scythirian and Abadanese soldiers were already engaged in a firefight with opposing rebel forces. The government seemed to have an upper hand in sheer numbers, but the rebels had most of the cover.

Lt: Incoming fire! Incoming fire! Apaches cover us dammit! *Bullets rip into a rebel building*

A1: This is Alpha 1 move move! *rebels fire* COVER THE ABRAHMS!

Unit: Rodger that Alpha 1. Move into defensive unit on Abrams, take out anyone with a missile launcher as soon as you sight them. Move!


The 50 Cals on top of the tanks fire at the buildings, the Abrahms begin to blow apart the buildings with cannon fire.

Tank Commander: No can do. We've been hitting road blocks left and right. Request Apaches for air cover.

IC: The sniper pair remained hunkered down in the rock field, each with an optic piece, scope or rangefinder/binocs, raised to their eyes watching the action below. Spotting someone with a radio the spotter slowly moves to point him out to the shooter who lines up a shot and fires, one .308 caliber bullet traveling around 2,500 Fp/s explodes from the supressed barrel of his L96A1 rifle, arcing along it's ballistic trajectory towards the heart of the radio operator, the AP bullet expected to penetrate both operator and radio...

Field Commander Ananse barker over the radio, "Ok, 1st and 2nd Mek divisions move out, upon reaching 30m from city structures switch to thermal and IFF. Anything that does not show as friendly I want dead, which mean switch to AP round, screw their cover. Remeber, watch you ammo (these are light to medium anti-vehicle walkers, so walls should not help agaist all shots, but not all shot will get through) and when you reach 25% I want you to start pulling back for a reload. Ok men, MOVE OUT!"

As the divisions approached the city the thermal sensors began to detect both allied and enemy soliders moving around erraticly trying to gain an advantage. Walking, almost causually towards the allied front lines they go and then beyond, the order is barked out, "Fire at will!" as all hell breaks lose.

The 4x .50cal machine guns per units begin blazing around 2000 rounder per minute (max 2200) of depleted uranium AP shells. No screams can be heard over their massive roar.

(ooc) mmm... slaughterfest.

My men hit the dirt as the bullets rip through buildings. "JESUS CHRIST WATCH YOUR FIRE! WE ARE IN CLOSE CORNERS AND YOUR BULLETS MAY RIP INTO MY TANKS! APACHES PULL UP AND MOVE OUT! TANKS FALL BACK! ALL MEN LAY ON THE GROUND AND PRAY TO GOD!"Alpha 1 barks over the radio.

Col. Aurras comes over the allied comm channel, "Dezarius forces, you can pull apaches back from areas we are covering if need be. Furthermore, as for friendly fire, its more likely you'll shoot us then we will shoot you and I dont think we can take out Abram tanks."

Alpha 1: Rodger that. Tanks hold positions, I want a tank with a squad on every road. Apaches pull out, tanks leave room for the allies to pass through.

OOC well you have a cut off squad now. and pretty soon that may be two, or 3 or more...

ooc: Its not like all ur snipers have more than enough bullets to take out every radio or alot and the Apaches will find them soon enough, it doesn't matter as long as they are with the tanks, and from wat u said u sound as if ur outside the city, that is not extremely effective to attack someone in the center of the city while out of it, right?

In the other sector of Skeltch, the Abadanese and Scythirian soldiers had the rebels on the run. Buildings were seized or detonated, few rebels being left alive. Those that were alive were taken captive and tortured for the whereabouts of the rebel leader.

That's when from several rooftops, the antitank missiles were fired at the Abadanese and Scythirians. A bold retreat was ordered before regathering their troops. Over the radio, to the government forces, this message was given:

*hears warning* BRING IN THE APACHES! I WANT THEM HUNTING FOR ANTITANK SOLDIERS! LETS MOVE MEN WE CAN FINISH THIS TODAY!

Field Commander Ananse barks over the comm, "Damn, they got anti-tank weapons. Ok men, I want full cover, scan all over I don't want you to have any surprises. Third and Fourth Mek are standing by if you need em. Other than that, just keep blasting those asses. Oh, and don't destory all structural support while your at it!"

From several rooftops, the antitank missiles were fired at the Abadanese and Scythirians. A bold retreat was ordered before regathering their troops. Over the radio, to the government forces, this message was given:

"This is Captain Johnston to all VRAF forces. Target the rooftops, repeat target the rooftops. Anti-tank ordinance."

*VRAF Fighters fire their 20 mm cannons towards the figure on the rooftops, sending them scattering for any cover that could be found.

Bodies scattered from the rooftop, falling towards the ground. As the fighters fly low; however, a missile launches from somewhere in a suburban yard to hopefully bring down one of the planes.

A small, covert Scythirian troop was ordered to find where that other missile originated exactly.

As the battle raged throughout the city, 250 snipers marched up into fireing range, without stopping to take cover, they started to fire at the rebels........
"dammit were late!"

"I know Lt, but at least we can give them some damned help!"
a couple of troop sidled up against a building infested by rebels and lobbed a satchel in, and sidled off again as flame sprouted out of the windows, throwing bodies out of 5th floor windows.
They marched on, firing still....

OOC:- its raining bullets now, you have the mechs, the troops, the apaches, you wont be able to walk in this city soon for the number of bullet casings around...!

OOC: No one's ignoring your units. You just haven't done anything of real interest. Nonetheless, here you go.

IC: Bullets were fired heavily at the oncoming meks from hidden rebel positions in the urban neighborhood. The numerous buildings along the roads held many possible hiding places and cover for the rebels.

Open communique from Captain Johnson to Allied leaders:

We are out of fuel, repeat, out of fuel. 2/3rds of our Strealth fighters, bombers and choppers are running on fumes. MUst go for refueling. Hope to be back before sundown.

"......so i put to you, do you wish us to drop fuel-air bombs on the city? if so, signal me and move your forces out of the city."

Our forces are remaining in the city. We have the upper hand and we are NOT here to kill civilians. If you drop them bomb everyone will die, including them. That is not a way to reclaim an empire. Withdraw your offer Seran. I don't ask, I demand that you withdraw your offer.

Qotor paced back and forth in his hideout in the city of Skeltch as the government forces marched in through the streets. The gunfire outside was so intense that it would be almost be impossible for him and his core group of commanders to escape from Skeltch. He would have to stay put and keep his ground as his rebels resisted. After all, his continued presence would strengthen their morale.

He would stay and give commands, then.

The gunfire was now so intense, buildings were almost collapsing as the bullets ripped into them, slaughtering all inside.....
Then At the break of dawn...
The guns stopped.

"What's going on out there?" Qotor asked in confusion.

"One of the government factions ceased fire, sir," a rebel general responded as he gave his report.

"Why?"

"...We're not certain. In the east side of the city; however, we're still having difficulty with Abadan and the Emperor's men. They're plowing slowly towards us."

"...Damnit."

The soldiers took note, the firing ceased to exist. Not a bullet was shot from our side. One Dezarius soldier rose. His helmet in hand. "What the hell... "he said. Some of our rifles went off, but not as much. Something wasn't right. "Why did they stop shooting? What the hell is going on? "Alpha 1 screamed into the radio.

Colonel Aurras shouts on the comm, "What in Reif's name is going on out there! Why did they stop firing? All meks hold position, but shoot any hostile within visual range. I want confermation on what the hell is goin' on!"

After shouting his commands he adjusts his mek-to-command radio to ask Ananse "what the hell is goin' on!" in some what more respectful terms.

"What the hell is goin' on sir?" he asks.

*Crack* "Not entirely sure Colonel, trying to contact Dezarius, the Imperials, and Seran. I will contact you as soon as I know."

*As the freshly refueled VRAF Fighters and Choppers pull withn a hundred metres of the battle site, Captain Johnson pulls the VRAF Fighter-1 into the front of the group. Through his radar display, he could see numerous friendlies and hostiles milling about, but no gunfire.

"VRAF-1 to all fighters. Any of you fathom whats going down?"

"VRAF-4 to VRAF-1. No sir. We're picking up some transmission from the ground. Seems most of them are as confused as you are."

"Alright VRAF-4, here' what I want you to do Queue up one AND only one V-1 cluster missile and target that shack on the west side of town. Let's see if we can't awaken some people.

"As for the rest of you, keep your fingers on the trigger. We may be awakening some angry dogs."

*VRAF-4 lets the missile go with an awesome swooosh. Cutting right over the ground troops heads, it slams into the shack with tremendous force, exploding it to pieces.

In the east side of the city, the guns were still smoking, everyone was confused....
"what the hell is going on here Lt?!"

"i dont know sir, but were all picking up some strange readings...."

"what do they mean then..."

" i dont know sir, i guess we just wait until someone tells us what they are...."

"Now everyone's ceased fire?"

"Yes sir," the rebel general said.

Qotor, the rebel leader, shook his head in disbelief. "I don't understa—"

Suddenly the foundations of the entire rebel headquarters shook, leaving the men bewildered.

"What the hell was that?"

As if some divine force heard his question, a man rushed in to answer it. "Sir, a missile just exploded across the road down the block."

"...That's too close."

Outside, in response of Valient's missile, the rebels reopened fire as they were cleared of their confusion. Anti-tank missiles were aimed at the sky to bring down what fighter jets they could.

*Shortly after the shack exploded, all hell broke loose for the Valient Royal Air Force. Captain Johnson is shooken out of his reverie by a warning by VRAF Fighter-4, which fired the missile in the first place.

"Sir, sir! We have incoming from all over the city. Missile. Looks like........"

"Officer?"

"Officer? VRAF-4? Do you copy?"

"Sir, this is VRAF-11. VRAF-4 took a direct hit. No chance for ejection."

*The fighter planes break off into different directions, trying to avoid the missiles. In a short span, another 3 planes take direct hits, though the pilots were able to eject in time.

"All Valient air forces. This is VRAF-1. Open fire at anything that looks like, smells like, or even that you think is an unfriendly. Those f***ers will pay for this!!!"

*20 mm gunfire spews from the nose and the wings of the fighters towards fleeing men on the ground. A number of fighters open up their missile arsenal, sending rockets into the sides of buildings they suspect harbour rebel forces.

Everywhere in the city, the mechs, tanks and men started spewing depleted-uranium bullets and shells at the buildings, while the fighter jets screamed overhead, firing massive bunker busters at targets, vapourising the rebels.....

"Lets push forward and end this war once and for all!!"

The Dezarius soldiers let out a war cry, firing their rifles into the air. They weren't simply taking cover, firing, advancing. They were moving forward in a blind rush at all cost, killing any rebel in their way. They went into a bloody rage in the rush, shooting at any thing that looked like a rebel.

The rebels in the city of Skeltch were beginning to fall back before the superior forces. Leading most of the way were Scythirus and their Abadan allies plowing through the streets. Indeed several tanks and one eighth of their forces were lost, Scythirus and Abadan continued their march.

Each building that originated unfriendly rebel fire was detonated by thrown and fired grenades and tank cannon shells. The government troops stormed over the bodies of unlucky rebels.

"Sir," a rebel general spoke to Ahmed Akmir Qotor. "We need to get you out of Skeltch. The government forces are closing in."

Qotor nodded in agreement, "I'm all the rebellion has to keep them standing. How do we get out?"

"We have an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. We got it when the city renounced the Emperor."

"Excellent. Let's go."

The rebels continued to fall back before the march of the Abadanese and Scythirian forces towards the center of the city. Buildings were blasted to debris and rubble, and any sighted rebel attempting to escape or injur was shot.

At the city's center, a lone Infantry Fighting Vehicle pulled out of a three-story garage and started down the road, heading south away from the approaching government military. Inside the vehicle was Ahmed Akmir Qotor, leader of the rebel movement.

*Between the hail of bullets and rockets between Allied and rebel forces, a single Stealth Chopper spots a suspicious looking SUV pull away from a building in the city center.

*Without a second thought, the pilot looses a V1 Homing Missile, and sends it with a prayer that it makes it marjk...

The Suv was thrown through the air onto its back, as the missile hit the ground only metres from where it was moving, sliding and screeching across the street, amazingly, two men clambered out, dishevelled and bearded..... ok not bearded, but the fighting had reached them, rebel forces were running past them, and bullets were whizzing around their heads, without any hesitation, they turned on their heels and ran....

The Infantry Fighting Vehicle rolled towards the site where the SUV was blasted by a missile. It screeched and swerved clumsily past the van and the two shocked gentlemen as it continued its road down the south.

Soldiers were almost on every street now,trying to sweep the city clear of rebels. Casualties were mounting on both sides.

OOC: Hey, you guys were talking about a Sports Utility Van, not an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. They don't even look the same. :wink:

IC: Some diehard rebels still held their ground as best they could, keeping fire aimed at government forces. But ever slowly, they began to run out of rounds and missiles. Skeltch would be lost to the rebels if something about their lessening supplies wasn't done.

"I want men on every exit, antiaircraft men on the rooftops, and I want these rebels to be pushed into the center and slaughtered. Basic box in, shoot at, and hold tactic. "the colonel told his men.

"Sir?"

"Yes, officer?"

"The target is still moving. Repeat. Still moving..."

"HOw? I thought that we got him!"

"No sir. He is still heading out of the city. Dezarius is trying to box him in, but I don't know how succesful he will be."

"Ok. Num. 4, 7 and 10, you're with me. Lets get him. The rest, cover our tails."

*The Stealth Fighters streaked away after the awol Rebels, as the rest of the VRAF Fighters broke off and continued to target the pockets of resistance. With luck, the last remaining peices of the the enemy would be destroyed with one fell swoop.

The battle was near won, the rebels had unsuccessfully tried to break out of thier position, and suffered terrifying losses, completely broken, most of the rebel forces began to surrender, but still some die-hards kept on, only to die in a hail of bullets.......

Qotor's driver blinked as he heard the roaring engines of jets above. Qotor himself and a couple of his closest generals looked out of the windows in confusion. Upon seeing the jets on their tail, Qotor pulled his head in.

"They're right over us, make a turn, driver," he said.

Nodding in ascent, the driver turned the Infantry Fighting Vehicle into a wide alley, the buildings close enough together to provide cover from most bullets.

"pull up, pull up!

They disappeared into the ally.."

After them.

The chase continued...

Qotor bit at the nail of his thumb. It was getting too close for comfort. If he fell, the rebellion would fall with him. Something he could not allow. The alley came to an end and they exited into the road on the other side and open for assault.

Meanwhile, a general of Scythirus who was now securing the center with the help of the government forces caught wind of the retreating Infantry Fighting Vehicle.

"It must contain the rebel leader," he said. "Patch a message through to demand his live capture. Killing him should be avoided."

Hours later, that very general spoke to his officers. "Any word on the rebel leader?"

"No, sir, he's still on the run."

With the Scythirian general still in the dark about its status, the lone Infantry Fighting Vehicle containing the rebel leader was well on its way out of the city of Skeltch.

With the city of Skeltch increasingly secured, the general of the Scythirus army demanded fiercely demanded an update on Ahmed Akmir Qotor's whereabouts.

"He's moving down the highway, the last report said... could be an hour out of the city by now."

"Then, since the other nation militaries aren't going after him, I will! I order a group of three Desert Warriors and two Ramses II tanks in the chase."

"Yes, sir."

"...He won't get away.... not in the least."

The military vehicles roved down the highway in their pursuit of the transport that carried the rebel leader. The highway was suspended about two stories from the terrain below. Civilian vehicles were forbidden from the highway until the rebel leader was caught.

Inside a Ramses II tank, the general spoke with disgust, "This is getting us almost nowhere. Call in several K-8 Karakorums to take out the bridge ahead of our prey."

IC: Yesterday the leader of the rebellion in Scythirus, Ahmed Akmir Qotor, was captured and brought into military custody after his escape from Skeltch was brought to a hault by a missile blowing a gap into the highway ahead of him. The captured leader of the rebels has not responded to any questioning, but is scheduled for a fiering squad later in the day.

Across the nation, rebels upon hearing of Qotor's capture are now surrendering and supplying the government with information. The rebellion as result has fallen and the Emperor has declared that the country will now concentrate on rebuilding. The civil war has left much of the major cities in shambles and rubble and will take years upon years to repair. The military is slightly weakened, over a third reported dead.

It will be a tough time living in Scythirus for years to come, both economically, socially, and politically. However, life will continue and must continue. Areas of cities that were struck with biological and chemical weapons are being purged and cleaned up, and a body count of total deaths during the war raises as the crews find more and more corpses in the rubble.

On related news, Information Minister Milhaud Karrakh is reported missing. It's believed that he was probably killed during one of the many bombings on the capital city, Jihamed.
