*A Report from the Militanar City News*

In the heart of the Capital, next to the Department of Internal Security, a truck bomb has exploded. Approximately 180 people are reported dead and countless more wounded, some inhabitants of the building and some bystanders.

The Minister of Internal Security, Isar Telis, is missing and believed dead.

Witnesses say that a large truck parked on the side of the road approximately five minutes before the explosion. One foreign-looking man ran out. A number of people tried to tell him that it was illegal to park there, but he ignored their complaints and managed to get away. His whereabouts are currently unknown, though police are searching for him.

A witness quickly called the police to inform them that a suspicious person had parked a vehicle illegally in front of the Department of Internal Security. The call was quickly forwarded by the city police to the Department itself, where six officers quickly began to investigate. As they cautiously approached the truck, it exploded, killing all six of them along with dozens of witnesses.

The Department of Intelligence has reported that this is almost certainly a terrorist attack by foreigners and not an incident of domestic violence. "We are sure," said the Minister of Intelligence John Kilar, "that this was a deliberate strike against our nation by foreign enemies. We cannot disclose to the general public the evidence supporting this."

The President of Militanar, Brutalis Maxinum, has released a statement that the perpentrators of the incident will be hunted down ruthlessly.

In a message to foreign leaders, he urged "efforts to help us track down those who committed this crime."

He also said that war in response was very unlikely, though limited air strikes against terrorist bases were possible.

Due to the quick deaths of a number of the injured and the increased estimates for those inside the building at the time of the attack, the estimate of the dead has been increased to at least 200.

Militanaran hospitals are reporting a high number of injuries, though no estimate of the numbers has been released.

We condemn these acts of terrorism against our close ally Militanar in the strongest terms. However, we urge restraint in responding. Minimal harm should be dealt to innocent civilians and care should be taken to respect international law.

We have captured a suspected terrorist.

A man was caught trying to cross the Darranack-Militanar border with a number of bombs in his car. He was detained and the bombs have been successfully disarmed.

Interrogators report that he was part of an organization known as the Armed Association of Annihalation, with the goal of destroying Darranack and Militanar. He has admitted to being part of the plot to destroy the headquarters of the Department of Internal Security, and said that the next job was a strike on the Parliament of Darranack building in southwestern Darranack City.

We know little of his organization, but believe it is likely based somewhere on the Island of Free Freedom, perhaps in Libertarianar or Tyrantian.

We have captured the man who parked the truck.

Interviewing a long trail of eyewitnesses, we managed to figure out his general area. We then barricaded the whole place and did an exhaustive search of the area. He was found next to an apartment building on 17th Militanar Avenue, armed.

We managed to surround him without him noticing and then demanded that he lay down his arms at penalty of death. He did so, and we managed to detain him.

The number of dead is believed to be 213.

The number of wounded is in excess of 700, changing constantly as more are reported.

The borderman realizes that he has neglected his duty and quickly informs the temporary headquarters of the Department of Internal Security. The thirteen men have been met within Militanar and told to stay put.

*Another Report From Militanar City News*

Three more terrorist attacks have occured today, after the earlier truck bombing next to the headquarters of the Department of Internal Security which killed 213 people.

A rocket was fired into a car in which two Labor parliament members were sitting. Both, and the driver, are dead. The firer is dead, shot by police after he resisted their attempts to detain him.

A truck exploded near a barricade blocking the road to the headquarters of the Department of Defense. 97 people have been killed, including three guards at the barricade. It is believed that the perpentrator died in the explosion.

An explosion erupted in a Militanaran battleship, the Sea Dragon, within sight of the shoreline. The ship did not sink. It had just departed for its weekly patrol three hours before. 109 Militanaran Navy personnel are dead. The whereabouts of those responsible are unknown.

All of this took place after six cruise missiles struck a terrorist base somewhere near Libertarianar City, Libertarianar. In that incident, dozens of terrorists are reported dead.

According to the government, all evidence points towards a terrorist group known as the Armed Association of Annihalation, or the AAA.

"This group," said a top defense official who wishes to remain anonymous, "has every intention of destroying Darranack, Militanar, and any other nation that stands in the way of their plans. It is believed that their reach extends to many nations around the world. Their threat is an international one."

He did not reveal any information about their plans.

The two Labor representatives who died are David Trashinis and Sandra Lesyv. The Labor Party has not announced who their replacements will be.

In a resolution passing 238 - 221, with 39 abstentions, with the Militanaran Parlament authorized the Department of Defense to take actions "deemed neccesary for the security of the state", as long as those actions did not involve "the violation of any nation's sovereignty". This resolution will expire at the end of the week and may be repealed at any time.

The Minister of Defense, Jol Thorbian, has said that he will use his new powers with restraint, but that he wll track down those murderers with all his strength and passion. He still mantains, as does the president, that war is unlikely.
