"Super Destroyer" is the working name for the type, it will have more armor than the traditional destroyer but less than a cruiser.
Armament will be heavy.
[2] 8" guns in 2 turrets
[2] 5" guns in 2 turrets
[4] 3" coilguns in 2 double turrets
[2] 30mm vulcan Goalkeeper CIWS
[2] 25mm chainguns
[24] Harpoon MOD4 in 2 foward armored box launchers
[8] Harpoon MOD4 in 2 rear quad launchers
Unspecified # of VLS cells for SM-2 or Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles ,tomohawk or hatchet cruise missiles
Perhaps an additonal armored box launcher(2) for Sea sparrow or other SAMs
At least 4 torpedo tubes, and 2 depth charge launchers, facility for at least 1 helicopter
Research desigantion is DDX-120
