Devolepment of a APCGV

The armed republic of Kazaakisthan today released plans for its first ever peice of kit manufactured here. (except for clothes)

The Armoured Personnell Carrier Gun Vehicle or APCGV for short is a mammoth task for any nation to try especcially a reltively new nation.

Here is the first computer generated image of one.

OOC: Sorry for the quick image.

The problem we are having is with the gun. For the gun we are needing very heavy duty hsock absorbs... but ones that don't absorb shock from the gun. Basically everything we have tried to lessen the impact of the gun on the PCC has either resulted in the sock absorbes absorbing the power of the weapon resulting in a very short range and sometimes the shell falling out of the cannon onto the APCGV, or with ones that aren't strong enough pounding the PCC into submission.

If any nation would like to help us on this we would be very glad. For now we are only making 1 but if any nation aids us with the shok absorbers they will receive one. Until we have the money to produce more.

The statistics are mainly secret at this point and will be released if we produce enough to sell them.

We are also currently planning to have a bridge built in to the tracks for corssing ditches. Once fully extended it will stretch 2 metres, then detach from the main vehicle allowing you to drive across and finally once you have driven over it is picked back up and pulled back under. ALl using hydraulics.

That thing will be a big target.

And the gun will be useless unless it is on a turret.

Yes it is on the turret and the big target things... thats why we're testing loads of new ways of prupulsion and old ones to see if we can get it going quite fast. Of course it should end up the same speed or a bit less than a normal APC but with the addition of a turret gun.

BUt the question is... will you design shock absorbers and get a free moving target?
22-11-2003, 18:32
I'd say you could modify the chassis of a M1 Abrams tank and mount that on it with the M1 Abrams turrent.

We have discovered a way of making it armoured and fast... It involves air...
For the moment we are keeping it top secret. ONLY to be given to our top most ally's. Currently it is under special forces gaurd.

Hovercraft isn't it.

BTW I've got plans for my APC to see if you like it.

IC: NO it is not a hovercraft.

OOC: Ok yes it is sort of a hovercraft. BUt the air i was talkking about is used to make sure the armour (which is very light) does not touch the body so if the armour gets smashed up the vehicle is cushoined by the air. BUt the hovercraft bit. Is underneath it couples with the tracks to give it more thrust but can be raised to run on just the tracks.

Also the wavy line on the front of the tracks is an ingenious method for travelling on ice.

Das Uber-Deutschland has offered to begin a joint venture on this APC design for both propolsion and production. We bielive this design has potential and that Das Uber Deutschland can help bring it to its full potential.
