We could rechamber some AK 47s and AKMs for US/NATO 7.62x(whatever it is)mm ammo instead of Soviet 7.62x39mm. The cost will be $95. Interested? Think about it, the durability and simplicity of the AK rifle combined with the longer range and power of the NATO 7.62mm round. Best of both worlds.
If you would like a more advanced model, based off of the AK-103/107/108 model the cost will be closer to $400 per unit.

Yes we have 1903 rifles, and might you be interested in buying some Merkava Mk. 4 tanks? They're Israeli and rather good, more survivable then the Abrams but a little slower.

Not quite, the Treasury would complain very badly. You can buy for $US400 per weapon, but you can have 500 servicable assault rifles confiscated from terrorists for free.
