The Empire of Donesk is hereby forming the Global Defense Initiative for all nations willing to join a close-knit military organization that is similiar to NATO. The GDI is currently planned on being based in the capital of Donesk-Sorangrad. Any nation willing please telegram Donesk about your intentions to join. Plus, if anyone has anymore ideas for this-post them on this thread. Thank you from the people of Donesk.

OOC: Yeah but what about the dictators that people are fine with living in? If you attack every dictator your screwed. From other dictators, I bet. Yeah.

OOC: Ok, then the dictators that use slavery and other crimes against humanity to help them take over the world, is what we should deal with. Benevolent ones should be left alone.

Are there any specific conditions on membership in the GDI?

I may consider pledging a force of some sort to the GDI, i am a Dictator of sorts but i hope that doesn't matter, i will consider if, Donesk, you would kindly present more information about the GDI and its plans, aims and objectives and what sort of force would it be (QRF, RRF etc etc)?

This alliance is intended to counter the threat of nations that are openly hostile to its members and also will be involved with international disputes but only after the Governing Council has reviewed each dispute on a case by case basis.

The Council will consist of 9 members chosen from the whole of the alliance. They are to be elected by the whole of the alliance as well. Hopefully Donesk can be approved by you guys to be the Chairman of the Council. And terms will be established later for those who are elected on to the Council.

I may create a new region so that all the nations may be under one roof but i dont want to leave my nation and im sure some of you guys feel the same. So any ideas about that please let me know about them.

It is My belefe that the Poutpose of the GDI needs to be outlined. "Counter Dictotorships" is very vege if you ask us. Bar Frybarec asks that the term "dictatorship" be defined to Spcific wording

Central Facehuggeria will Join this alliance, provided that its rules do not conflict with AWAN's rules, of which I am a part.

I need to draft a formal Global Defense Initiative Treaty so that the veiws of the alliance are clearly outlined-give me two days to draft it and then ill post it so that all the possible members can give their approval or rejection or any amendments to it that are needed.

When i do post the treaty just post a reply afterward with either your consent or desent (desents need a reason why) or a conditional consent with the amendments that you would like to see in the treaty.

Again the aim for this alliance is to mutually protect its members from open aggression-not to topple governments at a whim. However, on a case by case basis will the GDI order actions against another nation. Think of the Kosovo situation in the 1990s when NATO attacked Serbia. NATO only attacked Serbia because a case was made against that nation in a debate session. The Governing Council of the GDI is suppose to be that debating body. Cases to attack a hostile nation or one that we just dont like can be presented before it in order to see if the whole of the alliance is willing to go to war or not. Again the details are still be hammered out so give me a little more time.

Also i need all willing nations that would like to join to post a reply only stating either join or will possibly join so that i can see again how many nations would like to join. If you guys would like, see if anyone else you know would like to join this alliance. The more we have the better.

- All applicants must submit a full report of their nation to Donesk for review. Please do not post it here if you dont want other nations to see your detailed "resume".

- All members must abide by the Rules and Regulations set forth by the Govening Council (Council still needs to form so the first 8 nations will be up for membership to the Governing Council)

- This alliance is not a imperialist one. We will only use hostile action on a case by case basis by way of members voting. (ex. we will not help an aggressive nation attack another nation they dont like but we will assist a member nation(s), that is being harassed by a hostile nation)

- Amendments and additions may be made to the Treaty and voted on as well
