Following the armed conflicts between the nation of Phyrric and Unum Veritas (not to mention countless allies on both sides), the Veritsean government has announced plans to completely restructure Homeland Defense. 1,000 permanent anti-ship and anti-air batteries will be erected along all coastlines and surrounding all major cities. Several new underground command and control centers will be erected throughout the nation, and each center will have at least one supercomputer to run communications, etc. Countless underwater sonar lines will be layed throughout the waters surrounding Unum Veritas, all of which will be patched into the command and control centers. 1,000 mobile rocket launchers will also be constructed, as well as several hidden defenses. All government and military buildings will be reinforced, and the mandatory number of Marines on military installations has been doubled. Gigantic walls and other defenses against invasion will be erected throughout the coastlines (while leaving some open for private use of the beaches). The full project is expected to take 5 years. The government has appropriated $10 trillion USD for this project, and is prepared to increase that number, should the need arise.

I am going to donate 400 billion dollars towards your reconstruction, along with 4 Nimitz class aircraft carriers(fully equiped), and 400 Sa-190 ADT SAM's.

The Empire is willing to help Unum after this most recent incident. Cross-training with each other's militaries is offered at the convience of UV. Empire military planners are also available to be consultated by Unum, if they so wish.

The nation of Jahagyar offers limited access and use of it's research facility in Thanatos Peak, all visitors will be monitored constantly however.

The Macabean Empire, hoping the conflict does not spread to GDU borders donates 100 billion USD for the construction of the defense system.

I am also willing to host much of the contruction of new military units, the use of the Stonehenge facility, which is the largest military largest underground research and testing facility in the eastern hemisphere(at over 4 miles down and having over a combined 57 million squared feet(yes, this cost a ton of money).

Would you accept the donation of 200 400mm anti-ship artillery batteries. They have a range of 80km into the sea and the immense size of the shell can tear up through over 17" of armor. Not only this but fire and control, coupled with radar, can effectively lock on targets up over 100km away and await until they get into range.

If you conceed you must also give us a safe route through the waters to your nation ,as it is known that enemy fleets have approached or are approaching your shores.

well, i was using the GDP calc adn using a i have about 25 trillion for spending ,Budget, not the overall GDP, and i also have jsut about never deficite spended. yes i twould hurt me, but not exactly too much.

Ohh this does come out the military budget, which sits at around 5 trillion a year, but i never spend that much. and around 3 trillionof that goes to training so thats actually about 1.5 tillion i could actually spend.

The first phase has been completed, however the plan has also been altered somewhat. Massive infrastructure upgrades will take place as well. Underground high-speed trains, as well as above-ground monorails will be installed throughout the country. Train and monorail stations will be guarded by troops, as well as AA batteries. Several missile batteries will also be dispersed along the monorail track. The train tunnel will be highly reinforced with rebarred concrete and titanium as well. This new addition is expected to cost another trillion USD.

Another $3 trillion has been appropriated for troop training, as well as equipment updates aboard all naval vessels. Currently an independent think-tank is looking at different compositions of ships in order to maximize efficiency.

The railroad and monorails have been completed. Most of the shore batteries are finished with production and will be moved to their new camps soon. The embeddments will be camouflaged and armored against enemy attack. System upgrades are also going well, and the new naval command and control centers will soon be online. The supercomputers constructed just for these stations are undergoing tests now and will soon be patched into the Veritasean Command Grid. The crews aboard all ships have been undergoing extensive training and are at their highest level of readiness in recent history. All Veritasean naval assets have also been recalled to their home ports to reconfigure the CBG vessel arrangements. Radar and sonar upgrades, as well as communication updates will be built into all the naval vessels in turn (leaving at least half battle-ready at all times). Radar sites are also being set up throughout UV, in order to form a complete AA net covering the entire nation. The sonar nets have been layed on the ocean floor surrounding UV, and have been interfaced with the new command and control centers. In one more year, all the buildups should be complete.

While we do not share our militray technology or troops, we would gladly help out with doctors and medical supplies and training in new surgical techniques. And any troops in need of R&R can always find a safe place to recover at any one of our many resorts.

Our official stand is to stay out of any conflict but offer medical aid to any side that suffers civilian casualties. The aggressor in any conflict will not recieve aid to their military forces.

These actions are not meant to appear aggressive in any way. This is merely a buildup in defensive forces in order to protect Unum Veritas as best as possible.

The Veritasean government's Chancellors (the equivalent of American Senators/Congressmen), having become enamoured with homeland defense, have agreed to go forward with an experimental program involving remote-controlled, submerged, torpedo stations. Each station will have 8 torpedo tubes and can be reloaded by diving teams. These torpedo batteries will be placed at random intervals throughout Veritasean waters, particularly near major ports, and will be controlled through the undergound command and control bunkers. To augment these torpedo batteries, underwater sonar pods (also patched in to the new C&C bunkers) will also be deployed throughout the waters. As of now, 100 torpedo batteries and 75 extra sonar pods will be constructed and deployed, however that number could grow in the future should this strategem prove to be highly effective.

In other news, fiber optic landlines are being layed between all command and control bunkers as well as all government and defensive locations. The landlines will be layed 200 yards below the surface for safety measures.

The new ship grouping layout has been announced. The independent think-tank previously mentioned has decided that rather than several small Carrier Battle Groups, it is better to have a few large groups. The Veritasean government has agreed with this and has done away with the previous CBG's and instituted new Armadas. Currently the Veritasean government is working on getting 20 full Armadas up and running ASAP. The total price per Armada (using only Veritasean-owned ship building facilities) is around $200 billion USD. Any comments on the makeup of this group is welcome.
