This is happening in 3000AD
And it is starting like this...
"Mayday!Mayday! This is GCV Meridian inside Sol system, Earth. The GalcomHQ starstation and the EarthFleet has been destroyed by Gamulans and now there is a Gamulan fleet on Earth Orbit attacking terran cities. We are cloaked and we are gathering reffugees fleeing from the gamulans but we need help! We are badly damaged, heavy irradiated and overcrowded. MayDay!"
The StarPath StarStation orbiting Mars was on high alert. Everything happened so fast, that between the radio message "Comander Haru Report on the bridge" and the actuall arrivall of Station Commander on the Bridge, GalCom HQ was history, Earth defences where gone, and Meridian's MayDay was the only thing that clarified the situation.
Call every terran ship, everywhere, emergency and comander's eye only. Raly point here. And launch half of our interceptors. Patrol mission around the jump nodes. And get me supreme commander Ugo Ra-Zin
This was no gamullan threath. This was open war against GalCom.
Commander Ga-Tor sat in his command chair on board Empirian Battlecruiser Lanllau. He was alone on the shuttered bridge. Wathcing on the last survived monitor his ship drift toward the asteroid field.
Lallau responded to an SOS message in Treas, coming from what was identified as two diplomatic ships under attack by some Terran Insurgent Interceptors. the interceptors where disabled, so Lanllau launched the shuttles to tow three of them, a fourth was designed to tow one of the diplomat, with Lanllau towing the second. The moment the battlecruiser shield went down to enable the tractor beam, every captain's worst nightmare happened. Six StormCarriers decloaked and sent bording parties.
They had everything planned. The diplomats where decoys. When Lanllau shields dropped, they scanned the empirians, so the arriving boarding party had every information they need. When the raiders beamed directly on the bridge, in the engineering, in troop quarters and on different other parts of the ship, the marines could only get slaughter. Ga-tor imediatelly activated the self-destroy system, and locked it. In a few seconds, what happened to Earth will have no mean for KIA Commander Ty Ga-Tor
We cannot help you, StarPath. Supreme empirian commander Ugo Ra-zyn looked really embarassed. Everywhere, raiders are attacking our planets and we are rapidly loosing contact with our battlecruisers. If I would not know better, I would say that Gammulans convinced Raiders and Terran Insurgents that they will be better without GalCom.
