Declaration of Dependance of Upper and Lower Bigtopia

18-11-2003, 01:42
We, the people of Upper Bigtopia and Lower Bigtopia, willingly surrender to the foreign colonial powers led by the Resurrected Lands of Nanakaland. We surrender on behalf of the United Bigtopian Freedom Fighters, the only sovereign group left in this nation and in behalf of the Monarchy and Parlament of Lower Bigtopia.

As we strived to form an independant democratic state from the current colonial mess it is in, we caused more violence than previously thought. We forced our dictator to leave, yet also we started a war more massive then we could have ever thought. The violence was just to great for such a peaceful cause.

We humbly surrender to the occupation forces under several conditions. Firstly, you must let us, the former UBFF and Lower Bigtopian leaders survive. Secondly, you must impose a local parliment so that we can have some basic national laws, even if edited greatly by colonial powers.

We will request a military for defence, but controlled by the colonial powers; an infrastructure, but most of the products and materials we aquire will be given to the colonial powers; a form of self government, even if highly regulated by the colonial powers.

We, the two main nations of the region of Bigtopia surrender, but there are still sovereign nations in the region. If you wish to control the whole region as a colonial power, then you must take them by force. This declaration only applies to Upper Bigtopia and Lower Bigtopia the surrendering nations.

Nanakaland, as he has started the colonial conflict, will be the highest nation in charge of us, but the other nations will still have power over us. We do request that you do no more fighting on the soil of our two nations.

We will allow military bases to be founded on our land. Your foreign militaries may occupy our lands as long as needed, but don't use our lands as a battleground unless absolutely necissary.

Our surrender is final, this was drafted by the UBFF and the government of Lower Bigtopia. Nanakaland, being the leader colonial power will finilize this deal and may abridge this document as seen fit.

So far it looks good, but there might be some kind of loophole in the document. I will examine it thoroughly before I accept all of it. For now the surrender of Upper and Lower Bigtopia is good enough. We will ask for more occupation forces.

Are you sure you want to completely surrender to this nation? From what I gather you have had a little violence and now are afraid? If you require a small peacekeeping force, don't hesitate to ask.

I feel terrible if this is as bad as it seems. Good luck living under occupation, it sucks.

I urge your new rulers to be kind and considerate, that way the most can be gained out of such a situation.

[OOC: I'll let the original person who created this nation and did the roleplaying keep his nation, but it will be regulated.]

The nations that put pressure on the Bigtopians (including me) get to send their occupation forces in first and have the best land to build forts.

I would surrender now, when they are still fairly nice to me than later if I'm nearly destroyed. Also, how can two little nations founded yesterday fight superpowers looking for colonies?

But it seems that you are a november nation... is it even possible for you to occupy another country?

Nanakaland was founded May 26 (or something like that), ceased to exist, and was resurrected. Does anyone read any posts?

OOC: So, the dispute over upper Bigtopia is over yet my men are still there lol...

IC: General Lexington was looking over several maps of Nanakaland positions, formulating attack plans for his troops and those of the UBFF when colonel Varron entered the room.

"Uh, sir, Upper and lower Bigtopia both just surrendered and are ready to submit to Nanakaland occupation, all UBFF troops have abandoned their positions, and Focht just booked out of here on one of those old Iltis jeeps we gave them..." Colonel Varron.

"What in God's name?! Why the hell were we not imformed of this?!" Lexington demanded.

"No idea sir, but its authentic all right, Nanakaland troops and allies are moving in to secure the nation" Varron said.

"Damnit! Have A-10s reached the Nanakland outpost they were headed for yet?" Lexington asked.

"No sir, they are still enroute" Varron replied.

"Good, call them back, order the troops to pick up and return to the troopships. I want to be long gone before Nanakaland troops get here" Lexington ordered.

"Yes sir, we'll be ready to leave in a few hours" Varron reported.

*6 hours later*

The troopships of the Winter's Warriors division slowly made their way away from the docks and out of the port, meanwhile, the populace of the port and a handful of freedom fighters who had returned to tell the Tundric troops of what had happened waved Tundric flags as a way of saying thanks for their assistance. Soon after, the troopships met up with the CTS Tigerclaw and departed the Bigtopian region.

After further analysis of document:

Would this happen to be a rip-off on the US Declaration of Independance and US Constitution?

I find no flaw in this document other than repetativeness. I accept it, but I request that the other superpowers also go through it before it is final.

Nanakaland will celebrate victory.

I want to know that I'm not being tricked out of a colony I deserve!

Is Bigtopia falling apart? Noticed there is a Eastern Bigtopia which is independent now.

I don't know about Bigtopia itself, but there is a region of Bigtopian breakaways called Bigtopia.

Okay. The Nanakaland government will appoint several choices of governors the foreign community can vote on. I just need to start a thread...
