The Yuushi is starting genetic experimentation.

17-11-2003, 16:22
The Yuushi is now starting genetic testing to try to improve the human condition. Currently we are studying stem-cells and how to regrow human tissue that normally couldn't be regrown. Also we are researching gene splicing in humans to gain positive physical attributes from other members of the animal kingdom. Any help from other countries is welcome.

This unworthy one would discuss trading this technology to you, and offers that perhaps your scientists could come to Calcednie to learn about modern problems in genetic engineering.

for a look at where we are right now.

I'll take you up on your offer, I recently put 5 of my top scientists on a plane headed for your country. Feel free to visit my abode any time, I'll see that you're treated with great respect and you'll be entertained by some of our best courtesans.

if u were doin cloneing i could help...we..er...do a bit of it if u know what i mean
18-11-2003, 04:15
Hm, could you clone me some stem-cells? I could use a lot of them.
18-11-2003, 04:26
Do you require any primates for testing, we have been tryng to keep the Chyenne Monkey population in check, which has become oversized on a small island within our borders.
18-11-2003, 04:34
You may test a select few of my half-beasts. Just remember, they are half human, they understand what is happening. Ask them first. :|
18-11-2003, 05:49
Thanks for the offer but I'm looking for human test subjects; preferabely willing.

I have 250 willing criminals serving life sentences that you may use if you wish
18-11-2003, 06:53
That'll work, send them on over. Either post on here or wire me directly to find out about their developement. Also I'm looking for courtesans for my country. Go here if you or anyone is interested: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2126879&highlight=#2126879

They are on route to you country now. Though one condition they would like is to eventaully released. so no very long term testing
18-11-2003, 07:06
Fair enough, but once I am done with them I intend to wipe out whatever alerations I can from their DNA and set them free as normal humans. I don't want to risk a bunch of super-powered ex-cons running around. Also they will not be allowed to stay in my country after the experiments are done. I'm willingly to ship them anywhere they want but they can't stay here.
Anarresa
18-11-2003, 07:10
Agreed. They dont plan to stay with you anyway. But you do have permission to terminate any who cannot be controled.
18-11-2003, 07:13
Very well, it's agreed then. I'll keep you posted on their develpement.
19-11-2003, 03:36
We shall send out best scientist, Doctor Eisenberg of The TSD science Division, along with a contribution of 10,000,000 USD.

Eisenberg shall arrive within a day.
19-11-2003, 04:22
Many many thanks for your contribution; I can definately use it. You scientist will be treated with the best of care, you have my personal assurance.-Shogun of The Yuushi Musashi Ieysu.

Thunderstraat tried genetic experimentation in our early history. It's a bad idea; it led to revolts and slaughter in the streets. And we couldn't really become imperialists without ridding ourselves of the mutant castes.
19-11-2003, 04:35
Good point but I intend to keep it under control; all the test subjects will be under constant supervision and there will be armed guards nearby at all times.

In other news: The 250 prisoners from Anarresa arrived today where they were housed in fortifyed living areas. Testing is set to begin tomorrow.

19-11-2003, 04:39
I guess our problem was GEing our entire population. I bet you'll only have sterile mutants, and only for your military.
19-11-2003, 05:06
Yes to a point; if it's a success I intend to use to make my people healthier as a whole though. A strong and healthy body fights a lot harder than a weak one. As for major genetic manipulations though I'll reserve that for my elite samurai.
19-11-2003, 05:59
Eisenberg has arrived in your country. he is ready for orders
19-11-2003, 06:11
Ah, very good.
Eisenberg enters a limo where he is taken the Happy Tiger, one of the nicest hotels in all of The Yuushi, there he is lead to a room where he meets with the scientists he'll be working with. Heading up the scientists is Kyoske Kurigama, who goes into detail about where they'll be working. After about an hour of getting acquainted the meeting resigns and Eisenberg is shown to to his room.
I expect experimentation to begin tomorrow if that's ok with Eisenberg. If he's jet lagged or anything I'd be happy to postpone a couple of days.

exactly how over how long of a period do you plan to conduct this research?
19-11-2003, 06:16
Hm, that depends on how it goes. If you're needing you people back just give me a due date and I'll have 'em back to you by then. It shouldn't be too long though, my scientists have been working on it for awhile, I just now started advertisting it though.
19-11-2003, 06:16
Fine with us, he likes to get work done, however, he's had only 1 failure, it was in the LV system and his Specimines (Creatures from the movie Alien) got out and killed over 99% of his people, he dosn't like to talk about it and i wouldn't suggest you mention them.

Eisenberg looks around and see's it fit, almost too nice for his taste, he goes to the desk and takes out a journel and looks at the notes from the LV incident

it says

"I have been caught in this vent for 12 day's, the Troublesome marines tried to "Help us" but they where most likly trying to destroy my project, the Specimines have all escaped, they went and started killing everything in sight, it's only a matter of time before they find me

I can hear the screams of the Security Troopers as they die from them.

i cannot get out of here"
19-11-2003, 06:20
Very well, I'll tell my people not to mention it. We start tomorrow then, they want to administer this drug called Prozamein that increases muscle and brain growth by 10 fold. Prior ape testing prooved very productive, we can start human trials tomorrow.
19-11-2003, 06:20
Very good, he shall be ready.

Your scientists are settled in and their ideas are quite stimulating once they've been brought up to speed. It is our pleasure to host them. The Chairman has informed me that prospective graduate students from your country are to be given equal consideration when applying to Calcednian research institutes. The five scientists you sent to us should be ready to start their own labs in two more years.

We look forward to engaging in research with you, and ask that you accept a few of our new PhDs as postdocs so they can help spread what they have learned to your labs and learn the novel way in which your research teams approach problems.

Two hours ago we administerd the drug intraveniously to 50 of the test subjects. So far no physical or mental changes. Observation will be kept up.
19-11-2003, 21:52
Eisenberg has filed his report on what is going on so far, he is ready for use.
