AERO 2 Theatre Ballistic Missile Defence Systems:
The AERO 2 is a easily transportable missile defence system to protect against incoming theatre and ballistic missles at ranges of up to 200km and altitude of 150km
Mission:
To protect high value strategic sites such as control and support centers. Providing the upper curtain of air defense. It will intercept exo-atmospheric and endo-atmoshperic also low to medium altitude targets.
AERO 2 Battery:
The Aero Battery will typically operate nine launch vehicles carrying eight warheads, two tactical operations vehicle, and a ground based radar vehicle.
AERO 2 MISSILE:
The target data and predicted intercept point are all dowloaded into the missile prior to launch. Updated target info and flight info are sent to the missile in flight. The missile is 6.7 meters long, equipped with a single stage rocket motor with thrust vectoring, and launch weight is 900kg. The warhead is equipped with a infared seeker for teminal manuvering towards the terminal phase of the approach. The missile is developed and manufactured by Deuschte AeroMissile in Pendemuda.
Deuschte AeroSpace Ground Based Radar(GBR):
The GBR are all air transportable, the radar has the capalbility to see threats up to 1000km.
