Renting nuclear and space test facilities!

16-11-2003, 17:47
We are in need of some money and while surveying our land we came across a large baron area. Far away from the citys and towns. If your nation has invented a new missile or missile system. Or you need a place to launch sattelites and rockets. We will provide you this space.

We are currently contracting people to build a luanch pad and test bunker. It will be fitted with the very barwe essentials (you will have to supply your own)

BUt for a cost of $1 million per use. It will be much more efectiove and safe than building your own.
16-11-2003, 17:56
The Cretalian Space Administration is interested in using this land for launches, on a few conditions. We demand exclusive rights to use of the area in the interest of national security, and we also request, in order to pay the high cost of rent, that we be allowed use of any natural resources we come across.

We hope for full compliance to these terms, and look forward to our future in space.
16-11-2003, 17:57
Bump... we will aslo provide pictures of the launch. I have borrowed images from a similar testing facilitys.
16-11-2003, 18:00
We agree to these terms. BUt we also must have our technitions operating it. This does not mean they have to see the weapons. We will just need to be able to have full control.
16-11-2003, 18:01
Deal. Foreign technicians will be housed in our barracks.
16-11-2003, 18:04
If you would like to see the data our technicioans can come up with here is a link...

16-11-2003, 18:06
Because of the limitations of use for other nations we are opening a second branch. But in the interests of national security for a small fee of 10'000 we will build a specialist housing around it.
16-11-2003, 18:08
The company of Deuschte AeroSpace Missile Division needs to test a new high altitude missile defence system. We need this test facility to carry out our accuracy test. We agree to the terms, privacy is not urgent as we are already beginning to avertise this missile system. Money will be wired to you from The Armed Republic of Deuschte Wermachte.

Four Atlases (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67291&highlight=) land on the airstrip, loaded with troops, cargo, and weapons, and a temporary base is set up on-site while an area is secured for the launch site.

What's the region look like? Desert? Steppes? Scrublands? Any salt flats?
16-11-2003, 18:12
Deutsche Wermachte, we would advise you to seek launch sites within your own borders. Cretal has negotiated exclusive rights to this terrain.
16-11-2003, 18:19
How large is this unpopulated region (in square miles)?
16-11-2003, 18:31
Cretal.. we are branching off a small amount to be rented out, but your area has been housed in a special area to keep it secret.

OOC: the picture you gave describes it perfectly.

IC: General Samwise walked up to the plane with the Kazaarian special forces as gaurd. "We are glad you wish to use our base. It holds great value to both of us. I assume you have the money with you."
16-11-2003, 18:33
13 sq miles. The runway is 4 miles long. The launch pad is 2 miles square safety radius.
16-11-2003, 18:34
OOC:Kazaakisthan were are you located?(ie are you in the Middle East?Eastern Asia? Australia? etc

OIL DISCOVERED IN KAZAAKHISTAN

FREEDOM BASE, KAZAAKHISTAN (CFP) - Exploration on the lands surrounding Cretal's newly established Freedom Base revealed the discovery of light, sweet crude yesterday. Oil wells are in the process of being built. The reserves found constitute one of the largest reserves Cretal owns, as Cretal established exclusive rights to the natural resources located on Freedom Base territory. Cretal plans to keep some oil as a reserve for the military wing of the base, and to sell off the rest. Cretal uses renewable energy, and Cretalians do not drive cars.
16-11-2003, 18:38
Cretal are you looking to test my AERO defence system? I would be glad to test my air defnse systems against atlases. I assure you 100% accuracy on my missiles.
16-11-2003, 18:40
For the running of the base we will need a portion of that to power the huge (by huge i mean about the same size as an aircraft carrier) vehicles that transport the rockets and so on.

But you can do what you want with the rest of the oil. We haveenough from our other wells around the country

To Kazaakisthan
From Red Tide
If you allow us too set up a IRBM base in this region of land we we will pay you 2 million bucks a year(NS time) and 500,000 bucks right now. We will set up the base ourselves and supply it ourselves. You will not have to pay for the construction costs.
END MESSAGE
16-11-2003, 18:47
Yes but we will need in the interests of national security. A team of armed technicians. To monitor all messages sent from the base and reveiw all targets.
16-11-2003, 18:47
You receive a phone call.

"This is Corporal Rogers. We got some dirt we need to get rid of. Where should we send our trucks?"

The first of your technicians is allowed onto the site after a few weeks of 'top-secret activity,' and what he sees surprises him. Temporary barracks housing nearly twelve thousand, including eight thousand troops, have cropped up, and this section of the base is beginning to resemble a well-maintained refugee camp. Chain-link fence with razor wire now surrounds the perimeter of Freedom Base, and at the main gate, a metal sign says: "Welcome to Freedom Base. Trespassers will be shot." After entering the base in the back of a fuel-cell powered Humvee, your technician sees dump trucks driving up a ramp out of the ground about a mile from the launch site, with full loads of dirt. Other vehicles are driving down, with a lot of metal and fiberglass and various other raw materials.

At the opposite end of the base, three oil wells have been built, and cargo planes loaded with oil periodically leave the base. Engineers have been studying the launchpad and facilities, and you see them at work, planning for possible improvements.
16-11-2003, 18:49
To Deutsche Wermachte:

Don't godmod. You're a nation of six million. If you shoot down the airplanes of a fiercely nationalistic, democratic country with a robust economy and a population of 74 million, you will be dealt with.

However, we are not interested in such things. We established sole rights to the area, and these are not subject to negotiations.

Done and done. Bulldozers and such will be delivered too a airport closest too the region by K-10 cargo plane. Then the bulldozers will travel too the bases location and clear out a landing zone so more K-10s can come in and deliver supplies, troops, and the nessecary building materials.
END MESSAGE
16-11-2003, 18:53
We will accept technicians, however, they will not be armed. We will allow monitoring of all above-ground facilities.
16-11-2003, 18:55
You don't have sole rights to the whole area. You have sole rights to there areas we have qourdened off. We have built subsequent bases. We have a huge area of land to put these on... and stilll have room to expand.
16-11-2003, 18:55
OOC:Are you talking to me?
16-11-2003, 18:57
Cretal this is none negotiable. We need to have armed gaurds on the site 24 seven. Otherwise we will have to use satellite spy equipment to watch you which will cost us a lot of money.
16-11-2003, 18:58
Yes red tide. We have sent all our troops up to prepare the site and help your men construct it.
16-11-2003, 18:58
At dawn, a massive sonic boom echoes through the wasteland. A dark shape has rocketed off the runway and it changes direction high in the air, propelling straight up, until it can no longer be seen. You hear cheers erupt from the control tower.
16-11-2003, 18:59
Oh, okay. Fair enough...
16-11-2003, 19:02
We would be interested in expanding our perimeter, and will pay for all construction costs incurred. We would like to expand the current area from 13 sq. mi to approximately 49 sq. mi. Most of this land will be as a buffer zone from other nations, and we would like some area for a firing range for our troops.

If this is acceptable, Cretal will draft a formal trade alliance with Kazaakhistan.

The buldozers arrive at the bases site and begin too unload from thier flat beds. Buldozing and constructing. A control tent is soon set up. The actual landing strip will be done in a day. Then work could beign on the barracks and launch control facility. After that work would begin on the launch pads for the SOYUZ IRBMs.

GH-15 Stinger
Designation: Swarm Fighter
Environment: Air/Space
Armor Thickness: 10 cm
Dimensions: 6 x 4.5 x 2 meters
Armaments: Two wingtip Stutter Cannons, three Wasp-Class Cluster Missiles, and one rear-firing Diffusion Cannon
Top Speed: Mach 8 in atmosphere/5 kps (18,000 kph) in space
Specs: The GH-15 Stinger, usually found in squads of four or, for large-scale engagements, squadrons of twelve, is a devastating unmanned close combat fighter controlled by a Class Five Robotic Intelligence. Combining incredible speed and maneuverability with excellent armor and short-range weaponry, as well as the capability to function with no loss of effectiveness in space, the Stinger is ideal for fighter versus fighter combat and strike missions on aerial platforms or stations. The Stinger is also packed to the brim with plasma explosives and can perform devastating kamikaze runs on enemy formations. Perhaps the only drawback is that the Stinger is designed specifically for aerial close combat, and not for ground assaults or attacks on aerial warships. The next model, the GH-20, is in its design phase at Guanyu Aerospace Technologies and the company has announced that it is a great improvement in versatility over the GH-15, and will be capable of performing strikes on ground targets while maintaining its outstanding air-to-air performance.
Price: 5 billion for a wing of 72 fighters (6 squadrons)
16-11-2003, 19:07
OOC: As i said if you where sending up a rocket or a probe i can make new images with a rocket.

IC: The trade agreement wil be signed and you can move the perimeter. But you must only use half of the oil you find in the new area for environmental preservation. In accordance with the UN.
16-11-2003, 19:09
No problem with the oil.

I have taken a step for 1 year not to build embassys. To give us time to clam the public down. As today we had a car bombing on one of our greatest allys bases.
16-11-2003, 19:15
Kazaakisthan, do you have space anywhere in your country for our air defense testing, anywhere is good enough. We only need an area 1 mile x 1 mile. There are about 12 trucks, 30 personnel, ill set up camp. No privacy is needed as these results are to be public. We will pay 3 million.
16-11-2003, 19:40
Very well. We shall mark up your rea for immediate transport. AT the cost of 3 million. Thank you.

OOC: So the base is a white box with a red x in the middle? interesting.
16-11-2003, 20:51
OK, we've set up camp 3 days ago. Commencing test of AERO 2 Missile defence systems. We,ve resulted so far in 99.99% accuracy.
