OOC: hmmmm....eh, why not.

IC: This afternoon, the Omzian City of Konjaksgrad fell to Sniper Country and Omni Conglomerates forces after a bloody firefight with the Remiesian 173rd Airborne Brigade which lasted for several days.

There are no specifics on Remiesian casualties but they are estimated to be around 2,000, with several armored vehicles and helicopters also destroyed.

Heavy air combat was also reported around the city, with several Omzian F-22C Raptors being lost in engagements with fighters from the Sniper Country Navy.

Free Pacific States National Police Agency Internal Affairs has been reported to be investigating President Johnathan Terras. It is believed by Internal Affairs he may have connections to the mob.

Free Pacific States is currently providing foreign aid to a number of nations for random reasons.

Boyzici is currently being attacked without reason by a small coalition, and being defended by another coalition for good reason.

The Szechwitz civil war continues to drag on, though it looks like Dreizden will be able to succede from Szechwitz succesfully do to an alliance of freedom loving nations.

The Omzian President was recently diagnosed with cancer, and has retired to a city hospital. His replacement has already taken office.

Civil War has starting in the City of Freedom. According to sources, the army and some civilians have broken off and began to go to war with the marines, navy, and air force due to recent budget cuts. A group of other nations has begun to support the City of Freedom against the Army/Civilian factions.

A new Star Trek series has come out, called the "Star Trek RP". It is suspected to begin actually playing soon.

General Narata, head of the Aqua Peron force in Szechwitz has been relieved and arrested for disobeying orders. His court marshal is expected soon. General Chang Mesa is expected to replace him.


OOC: While there are many other news stories out there, I'd rather not broadcast them all, help me out here people.

In today's news 75% of people preferred Pong over Space Invaders.

Now for sports
The Red Sox played another game against the Yankees. The Red Sox were up 10-1 until the last inning when the Yankees suddenly won for no reason.

I don't plan to do any pro-anything propoganda. This thread is supposed to be exactly what it is: CNN. By that I mean objective news. This is just for someone who was away for a day and wants to keep up with what's happened in the RP world. Or someone who doesn't feel like reading through 6000 pages of an RP, when he could read one article here.
