Today is a sad day in Unrealian history.

A terrorist detonated a stolen nuclear device the size of a truck in the largest city of Southington. The device was concealed inside of a large shipment on the back of a semi truck, which was driven into the heart of the city, the night before Founding Day, the most celebrated holiday in the country. Over 2 milllion visitors were expected this year for the festivities.

85% of the buildings in the city have collapsed, leaving an estimated 5,000,000 people dead or wounded.

We are currently attemping all rescue attempts, and request the aid of any nation that will help. Billions of dollars worth in damage is reported, and the death toll is rising continually.

As for the terrorist organization that has organized this atrocity, we will seek and destroy with utmost efficiency.

The current belief is that the terrorist cell is attempting to destroy development at Black Mesa, our nations leading high-tech research facility.

While not a large city in itself, Southington was very populated, especially with the holiday celebrations underway.

The current death poll is just over 5,250,000 dead or wounded. Black Mesa's security system Sentinel has been activated to Level 2.

All festivities of Founding Day have been cancelled in and around Southington, and surrounding towns are being evacuated and locked down.

If I were you defense would be the number 1 priority followed by aid and help.

If they have another one in my country, they will set it off, regardless of how many military units are present. As far as I'm concerned all these incoming units are clogging up usable space, and just offer more targets to die if another one is set off. Because we don't have a confirmation on the group that's responsible, we can't take action against them.

Sentinel has been upgraded to full alert, allowing it's own, as well as it's network of ultra-sensitive gamma ray and neutron-flux sensors to detect most unwanted nuclear devices within a mile of Black Mesa. The death poll is petering down, and our estimates place the total number dead or injured to be just under 5,300,000. We believe we are closing in on the group responsible.

Tokarev offers 10 billion dollars in aid to Unreal Soldiers, and we are sending 20 Hospital Ships to your harbors, each one capable of caring for about 1000 wounded at any given time.

Our sensors are no longer picking up heat signatures from the devastated area. All donated hosptials and volunteers have been working around the clock in relief efforts. We believe we know who is responsible, though specific names are not being released yet.

The Federation of Glorious Humanity sends its deepest condolences on this tragedy. We are supplying nearly one thousand experienced rescue personnel and doctors specializing in radiation treatment to aid in any further relief efforts.

Also, if any intelligence or military force is required to locate and capture the terrorists, we will supply what we can.

We believe we have found the group behind the attack. Swords of Chagal, a terrorist cell in Jaratia, has been very active lately. They have been focusing attacks on scientific or research areas, specifically in the advanced-technology fields. Black Mesa is one of these high-tech research facilities, making it a viable target. Plans of action will follow in the near future.

What is this terrorist group's objective?

Are they Islamic extremists? Envio freaks/tree huggers? Apocalyptic 'end is near' radicals? Communists who seek the rise of their former great empire?

What and who are they, care to give us some background?

While their religious affiliation is not outwardly apparent, we believe they are some radical group which works towards ending scientific progress. Some groups have called the research which is going on at Black Mesa unethical or immoral, and the Swords of Chagal are one of them.

However, they apparently have no problem with using the advanced technology of a nuclear device to destroy our cities. They have been very active in the past several months, and have destroyed other research-related facilities in the nation Jaratia, where we believe is their current hiding location. Jaratia is working with us to locate and stop the Swords of Chagal.

Ruenland authorities raided a house 2 hours ago which was affiliated with Swords of Chagal. We arested 3 people and took all of the items from the house. We will release more info on what else was learned from this raid, but we will not release any information to The Unreal Soldiers until dialog between our 2 countries begins about the current situation.

- As of 0400 hours yesterday we have captured and detained over 200 members of the Swords of Chagal in a warehouse weapons bazaar raid. In a black-ops raid today, 39 men were apprehended in an underground station in Jaratia. 4 men were shot and killed, while the rest were arrested. Their station held 3 nuclear devices, one of which was in the process of being loaded into a standard UPS delivery van. One of the men shot on site was painting a sign reading "Black Mesa or Bust", obvious evidence of where this bomb was planning on being set off.

Their hideout, located by Black Mesa's SecuriSat System, was infiltrated with little resistance, presumably because Swords of Chagal were over-confident in their abilities.

Yay, my thread has reappeared after magically disappearing for a day.

All current captives from the Swords of Chagal terrorist cell are being interrogated. Information leaked from some have revealed more bases, which upon investigation harbored more terrorists, and an additional 2 more nuclear devices.
