Today, the Mercury terraformation project entered its final phase, the Solar blanket is complete and the 18, 60km fields of green plants have been contructed. Also the orginal colony has been expanded into a small city, and infastructure is slowly being developed to pave the way for new cities to come. this was all possible by the breakthough of the Heat-Converting Technology in which the sun's heat is converted into energy.
The final Phase is the process of 60 years in which the walls surrounding the fields are slowly removed and the fields create a forest belt along the equator.
So far, 4 major bodies of water have been created, and the radiation bubble around the planet is fully operational. The status of the cities coolant shield remains stable, this shield is crusial to the survival of the colony.
Mining operations have also begun on the southeasthen part of the planet where mineral deposits apeared richest.
This has been a massive project spanning back 120 years when the first heat-converting technology initative was created. Since then the Technology has been advanced, and the terraformation project has been compleated, it is all a matter of time as the fields spread into a forest.

The Federation of Torontonias is now faced with what to do with a massive surplus in funding, as the economy has upgraded from "Very Good" to "Thriving" and the massive amounts of funding that went into the MTP (Mercury Terraformation Project). There is specualtion that part of the surplus will go toward building a shipyard, and constructing a small defence fleet for the Protection of Federation Soil from the Turbulent events abroad.
