C36C Commando Version

Unit Price-$700
When the time came to replace the G3 and AK74 after the unification of East and West Germany, Heckler&Koch was charged to produce the small arms weapon that would guide a new, united Germany into the 21st century. The answer was the G36. The H&K G36 is one of the most diverse small arms weapons systems in the world. The barrel on the rifle can be removed and changed with shorter barrel to create a carbine weapon, a heavier barrel to create a small fire support weapon, or a standard barrel for an all around powerful rifle. The stock can be folded to the right to shorten the weapon, and above the rifle is a carrying holder. Inside the holder is a 3.5x optical sight, one of the rifle's more convenient features to improve accuracy. Also, an infrared sight can be placed to the handle to make the G36 pin-point accurate even at night. Attached to the rifle are several connection points, which allow for flashlights, grenade launchers, lasers, or a folding bipod.

Leopard 1 Main Battle Tank

Price Per Unit-$1.5 million
The Leopard 1 was on the front line in West Germany in the Cold War, and now it can be on the front line of your next armored spearhead. First produced in 1963, the Leopard has been an essential part of NATO ever since it's conception. The Leopard is called the "economy tank", and she earns the name well. She is cheaply priced for even the smallest nation's budget, yet has the stopping power needed to hold it's own. Armed with a 105mm gun, the Leopard can engage in combat effectively at approximately 2,500 meters from it's target. Also, thanks to device called an electronic hydraulic gyroscopic gun stabilizer, the Leopard can fire while on the move, so you won't have to stop in the middle of a charge to defeat your opponent.it is also equipped with two 7.62 machineguns and two tank-mounted smoke grenade discharges, allowing you to move in secrecy. One of the Leopard's more innovative features is that she can be "sealed-off" from nuclear contamination. If you ever find yourself in the middle of a nuclear hotspot, the Leopard will allow you to perform limited combat operations in the field where any other army would have been stopped in it's tracks.

The PzH2000 marks the latest induction in German armored warfare. The '2000 is a self-propelled howitzer artillery piece that far surpasses it's American Paladin counterpart. She is equipped with a 155mm gun and is argued to be the most capable howitzer in the world by many. The howitzer's self-loading system removes the neccessity to have a loader onboard to keep the gun stocked with shells. Also onboard is a Global Positioning Sattelite system which determines the howitzer's position on the planet as well as works with the ballistic computer system to aid in taking aim on would-be targets. The crew is placed in the weapons compartment, which allows for a heavier set of armor around the chassis. While a minimum of three men are required to run the howitzer, the chassis may be modified so that it may only require a crew of three. The gun has an operational range of just under 42 kilometers at most.

Milan Anti-Tank Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/milan_cat4g.jpg
Unit Price-$120,000
The joint venture Euromissile was created in 1972 by Germany's Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA) and France's Aerospatiale SA. Since the mid-1970s, and to this day, its Milan and Hot anti-tank weapons and the Roland surface-to-air system have been highly successful. Milan is a second generation anti-tank weapon, the result of a joint development between France and West Germany with British Milan launchers and missiles built under licence in the UK. The Milan consists of two main components, the launcher and the missile; these are simply clipped together to prepare the system for use. On firing, the operator has only to keep his aiming mark on the target and the Semi Automatic Command to Line of Sight (SACLOS) guidance system will do the rest. The missile is guided for its entire trajectory by an automatic device of remote control using the infra-red radiation (MILAN 1) or an electronic-flash lamp (MILAN 2). Milan, which was initially developed for the French and German infantry, is now in service in 41 countries all over the world. The new-generation weapon Milan 3 has been in service since 1996.

EFA-2000 Eurofighter
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/row/eurof_8.jpg

Unit Price-$65 million
Eurofighter is a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft which will be used in the air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. The design of Eurofighter Typhoon is optimised for air dominance performance with high instantaneous and sustained turn rates, and specific excess power. Special emphasis has been placed on low wing loading, high thrust to weight ratio, excellent all round vision and carefree handling. The use of Stealth technology is incorporated throughout the aircraft’s basic design.
Eurofighter's air dominance supremacy and versatility as a multi-role combat aircraft is marked by its highly potent and comprehensive air-to-surface attack capability:
Air Interdiction - capable of delivering a large payload over long distances, by day or night. Multiple, flexible sensors coupled with passive modes of delivery, and the retention of a full air-to-air fit ensure a formidable weapon system
Close Air Support - ability to remain on task for long periods. Its sophisticated sensor suite allows close co-ordination with ground commanders, and the identification of individual targets
Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) - the combination of pinpoint navigational accuracy, highly sophisticated onboard sensors and dedicated 'fire and forget' weapons, ensure effective targeting of enemy air defences
Maritime Attack - dedicated radar modes and datalink enable Eurofighter Typhoon to operate autonomously, or as part of an offensive force
Eurofighter’s high performance is matched by excellent all round vision and by sophisticated attack, identification and defence systems which include the ECR 90 long range radar and Infra Red Search and Track (IRST) system, advanced medium and short range air-to-air missiles and a comprehensive electronic warfare suite to enhance weapon system effectiveness and survivability. Eurofighter Typhoon is intentionally aerodynamically unstable to provide extremely high levels of agility, reduced drag and enhanced lift. The unstable design cannot be flown by conventional means and the pilot controls the aircraft via a computerised ‘fly by wire’ system.

OOC: Any reason why you found it necessary to steal the name of a RL industry in Germany? Also, Rheinmetall usually does not manufacture the vehicles or weapons themselves, just the parts for them...
15-11-2003, 02:45
OOC: I liked the name. It's a game, I don't see why it's a problem. Also, it isn't the exact name. The real Rheinmetall is Rheinmetall W&M

OOC: Actually, I have some brochures from German Manufacturers right by me...

OOC: Rheinmetall manufactures the metal parts for weapons, such as barrels and cannon. The Cannon of the Leopard 1 and 2 are made by Rheinmetall, as is the cannon on the Abrams.

Also, I assume you do -not- speak german?

I am just starting to learn German. I live in the United States, but I want to move to Germany when I get older.
15-11-2003, 03:05
I have been learning it for a year, i -think- you would use Deutschdemokratie to imply it is a German Democracy, Deutsch Demokratie to imply it is the 'German Democracy', or 'Demokratischrepublik Deutschland' to imply Democratic Republic of Germany, or maybe even Demokratie von Deutschland, for Democracy of Germany.

30,000 is a gigantic number when it comes to tanks. Perhaps you'd like to lessen that number to something more managable? Besides, I don't think one company could ever produce that amount in peacetime.
15-11-2003, 03:13
well I'd put them in war tiem if you don't do it :D

or maybe even Demokratie von Deutschland, for Democracy of Germany.

uh-uh. a good semester of german tell me nein. "von" literally translates closer to "from" than "of". in this case, i'm pretty sure that you use the genitive case of Das (because Land is neuter) to get Demokratie der Deutschlands.

Rheinmetall is a cool name, i agree
15-11-2003, 03:17
well I'd put them in war tiem if you don't do it :D

jsut kidding you can deliver them over a long period of time

Over a period of about ten years, I'm sure it would be managable. it would still be an extremely large order, though. So, how does half that sound? 15,000 tanks over a period of 10 years? That'd be half the cost, as well. Over 10 years, it would amount to 22.5 billion at 2.25 billion a year.

Yeah, they were given refugee status by the government to protect them from the rioting populus. If you read into the posts I made in that topic, you'll see I have a full scale riot going on through most of the country.

OOC: you should research your prices better.
$2000 is about the cost of a good unguided LAW rocket. Milan missiles cost closer to $35,000 each, with probably anothe $100,000 per launch unit.
My best estimate for the PZH 2000, according to information, is around $6-8 million.
The EFA 2000 currently costs around $74 million (at least, that's what Austria paid for each of 18 of them earlier this year). You might be able to get away with $60-65 though.
15-11-2003, 04:08
Thanks. It's been kind of hard finding accurate prices around here, so I've just been comparing some of the prices here with what I can find on teh websites. I'll edit my prices ASAP.

Not quite 12 shots in 50 seconds means one shot every 4.17 seconds.
As before, the price is a bit off. Last I checked, the M270A1 MLRS went for $4.24 million per vehicle, and this is pretty much the same thing.

The successor to the Leopard 1, the Leopard 2, was first produced in 1979. A variety of upgrade programs and options are available for the Leopard 2. These include the Atlas Elektronik Vehicle Integrated Command and Information System (IFIS), a digital command and information system. The Leopard 2 has had technical improvements under Upgrading Level I and Level II programs. A new smoothbore gun, the 120 millimetre L55 Gun, has been developed by Rheinmetall GmbH of Ratingen, Germany to replace the shorter 120 millimetre L44 smoothbore tankgun on the Leopard 2. It permits effective use of a new APFSDS-T round, DM53 (LKE II), with a longer rod penetrator, and which is under development. The German Army has decided not to buy the DM43 APFSDS-T round (aka LKE 1), rather to wait and upgrade to the DM53.

Unit Price-$70 million

One of the largest hole's in Deutsche Demokratie's defense contingencies was the need for a heavy bomber. The answer comes in the form of the Junkers 98 heavy bomber. The 98 is the answer to the American B-52. The 98 is actually a modified MRT (Multi Role Transport), which is in use in the European Union. By gutting the crew area and installing a bomb-bay, Rheinmetall Industries has created the world's first true jet-engine heavy bomber. The bomb bay has been designed after the B52's, as well as the armament capacity.

Yes production of an M16... M16 are cheaper to develop... (the reason they are so unreliable) The H&K G36 on the other hand... is a very accurate and reliable weapon. Another reason why the M16 is so cheap is because the american army buys them by the hundred thousand. Knocking the price down a long way. 75,000X Heckler&Koch G36 Assault Rifle Carbine version with dual sight

Total: $157,500,000

Money wired upon confirmation.

We are also interested in the grenade launcher (http://www.hkpro.com/ag36.htm) attachment that you might be able to provide. If you could ship one with each of the guns, we would be happy to pay as much as needed.
