The destroyer "Crown of Pride" moves slowly in the direction of earth. As this behemoth moves slowly towards earth it powers up its weapons and opens fire on several random sattelites. As the debris of these sattelites burn up in the atmosphere, the destroyer slowly moves into the orbit of earth where the sattelites had been.

OOC: Kiith! Long time, no see, old friend!

Two Black (rank, not race) military officers looked at each other, as suddenly Xexan Sports Net suddenly fizzled out. Oh, yeah, and there was a big stinking ship on radar.

"Send out 40 Stardagger cruisers to intercept!"

The starport was now bustling with activity, as XGF pilots raced to their Stardagger fighter cruisers. 40 took off and went to the location of the ship.

ooc: Yeah, was busy getting my girlfriend pregnant ^_^ (thats not a good thing btw, i'm only 16 and gonna be a father >_<)

Meanwhile inside the destroyer the captain tries to access the onboard AI
'Goddamnit Nala, you'll start a war!' the captain shouts
'That is exactly what I'm trying to do, I want to test the capabilities of this vessel. You and me both know that we need to do something to test it, what better way then a war?'
'You want to kill hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions of innocent sentient beings, just for the sake of testing? I command you to give control of the communications back to me immediately, so that I can apologise for the destruction you caused.'
'I will not and if you dont stop commanding me I will cut off the oxygen supply.'

The captain sees that he cannot win this arguement as long as Nala has complete control over the ship. So he picks up an assault rifle and starts to shoot at the armored doors in an attempt to get to his fellow crewmembers.

Outside the ship a mass of warships is gathering to intercept the destroyer.

Takian command looked over the data relays from the colony on Earth. It wasn't good, something rather large was coming at them, and coming fast.

"Get those ortillary satalites turned around, I want that thing traced and locked, if it opens fire, consider it hostile and destroy it. . ."

"no can do sir, we've lost contact with our satalites within firing arch, by my calculations, we won't have a firing solution by satalite for anouther. . . sixteen hours."

"then dispatch the fleet, get a battlegroup up there to dicern wether its a threat or not."

"aye sir"

The frigate Lucky Strike manuvered away from the Takian attack group on station in Sol, moving towards the destroyer. Its shields at full power, its onboard Artificial Sentience program attempted to open a channel with the unknown destroyer.

"Attention unidentified object, this is the Lucky Strike, please be advised, you are over Takian territory, please move to a differnt possition or issue a statement of non-hostility"

The destroyer slowly turned towards the approaching frigate and immediately opened fire with its overcharged fusion cannons ripping the frigate apart.

"repeate, this is the Luck SHIT!!!! EV. . . " the comander's orders were cut short as the beam ripped the small ship to its composite atoms, leaving free floating particals as the only remainder. The rest of the fleet powered up, as the largest ship on duty, an ancient Battle Cruiser, lead the charge. It's nova cannon primed, it sighted the destroyer, gunning its sublights to take it into combat range, a small floatilla of cruisers and a pair of carriers right on its tale.

"Takian high command, this is the Discordant, we have the ship confirmed hostile, request a firing solution."

"firing solution granted. . . give'em hell Captain"

the ancient ship fired its nova cannon, the magnetic accellaration cannon lining up a shot and projecting the atomic warhead at near light speed. The projectile missed, but was close enough to trigger a blast, showering the enemy ship with plasma and EMP.

((OOC: I doubt it would do much provided you've got shielding and your electronics are hardened against EMP emmisions as most spacecraft should be. But, that should get his attention))

It took some time for the XGF Stardaggers to reach the Crown of Pride, but they finally did, and immediately opened a communication channel with it.

"This is the Pilot Lt.-412 of the XGF. Please state race and affiliation. We shall take you into custody. Aggression will be considered grounds for counterattack."

The Daggers got into a staggered formation so that only one flank could be taken out with a blast from the frigate.

Xexo, you realize that I've just fired a rather large atomic warhead against that ship, right?

The destroyer powers up its engines to get into a position where it can take out as many hostiles as possible, this means however that the main cannon has been lined up with the moon.

As the primary weapon charges, ships can be seen trying to escape the beam.

The beam hits only a few remaining vessels that have not been able to escape the trajectory of the beam, but it does do major damage to the moons surface. Several lunar city's can be seen burning from the earths surface.

'Mommy, look! The moon is on fire!'
'Don't make such horrible things up, otherwise people will not believe you when something serious has happened.'

The fireing of the plasma projectile weaver has caused one reactor to misallign, rendering it useless. Seeing that she needs to escape to make the much needed repairs, Nala reroutes all the power from the second reactor to jump out of the system.

"Sir! 7 ships lost!" one of the pilots yelled.

"Open fire upon that frigate!" the captain of the fleet yelled. So they did; the 33 remaining ships all opened fire from their dual ion cannons, trying to do as much damage as possible to it.

"Blast, lock coordinates on that ship, try and hit its engines with the leading edge of a Nova shell, I want to disable it and capture it if at all possible. . . fire on my mark. . . "

The lead ship rumbled as anouther Nova shell fired out, detonating at the rear of the enemy ship, spraying its engines with fusing plasma, a rippling shockwave, and a massive EMP blast just as its subspace generators kicked in.

"all ships, form up and follow me, prepare boarding parties, he's not getting away that easily. . . Nav, get me coordinates on where its going and bring us around to bare. . . fold in five. . . four. . . three. . . two. . . one. . . Fold."

The Takian fleet winked out of existance, following the retreating destroyer's slipstream.

"Sir twenty minutes ago a large unknown destroyer entered Sol space, shot down several craft, and attempted a jump."
"Where did they go?"
"We don't know yet, one of the smaller frigates was dispatched on the same subspace cordinates. They will send back a report within the day."
"Fine, first we find out where they are, then we investigate. Call in all merchant ships and crew from Earth and whats left of the moon. Once everyone is on board and we know where they are, subspace jump with a 5 second warning, we don't want to miss this."
"Yessir, fusion reactors will be ready for subspace jump within the hour."
"Dismissed"

"So this is the destroyer. Not very impressive now"
"Damage estimates confirm its pretty much dead in space. Engines appear to be heavily damaged as well as their primary weaponry... What should we do?"
"Try to communicate, if we can't, board the ship."
"Aye sir."

Nala open hailing frequencies with the hostile ships in an attemt to save herself. She disabled the video imaging system to prevent the hostiles from seeing the real captain, trying to disable her.
'Goodday gentlemen, I am sorry for the damage we caused. Our AI took over the controls. Sadly we could not do anything to prevent this. The damage from the jump disabled the connection of the AI with the command centre and...'

Suddenly the video screen blinked on and the Zallun captain spoke to the other vessels.
'I don't know if you can hear me, but Nala is the AI. Please help us, we are in dire need of assistance. We have wounded and sev...'
The screen turned dark again.

It was quiet for a few long seconds. But then the destoyer turned to the few ships that had follwed, started up its engines and fired with its doomday fusion cannons.

The captian of the Discordant stood on the bridge as his ship prepared boarding actions, pulling towards the destroyer. He saw the true captain, listening to his warning before calling to all boarding parties "do not attack unless fired upon, there is a chance that the AI has taken the ship and the crew is innocent. . ." he was about to continue on when the fusion beams came at them. The massive blasts slammed into the battlecruiser, knocking her backwards as the Shields struggled to hold. the second beam scrapped a light cruiser, tearing through her shields as if they weren't even there, and buckling the front of her prow in on itself. Looking like a gnarled bulldog, she gunned light engines, as all the ships in the floatilla followed suit. finaly wihtin range, the Kamakazi class boarding ships swarmed off, like wasps, around the massive destroyer, seeking purchase against the hull, determined to cut thier way through her skin and disgorge the marrines into her bulk.

"Shoot! He's made the jump to hyperspace!"

"We picked up a transmission from them. Their heading is the nation of Kiith Furio."

"Oh no....Alert the Minister of the Military on the ground. We need to get word to Kiith Furio of what is about to happen...and we may have to send backup. For now, though, let's get back to the ground and count our losses."

ooc: Taka, waiting for you to board. Wouldnt be right for me and powerplay how many of your boarding craft make it to the ship. :)

((OOC: ah, sorry, what kind of AA defences do you have, or do you have any working right now? I'll edit my losses, if any when you post that))

The boarding craft landed on the skin of the ship, as the under bellies roared to life, cutting through the armor as they formed an airtight seal around it. Air from within rushed into vacume as they breached the hull in hundreds of places, marines finishing last checks as tehy prepared to enter.

"remember, don't fire unless fired upon, also, prepare those prisoner bays, if we can't disable the AI, our orders are to plant charges around the engine room and see if we cant triger a catastrophic meltdown once we've evacuated the ship. . . let lock and load gentlemen. . . "

The lifeboat over the bridge cut trhoug first, as the four mecha jumped through the roof into the bridge, scanning it. The marines inside prepared to jump down behind them as soon the mecha had given the all clear signal.

ooc: only four double laser turrets operational, and the doomsday fusion cannons, but they can't hit the boarding craft.

((OOC: I feel your pain, stuck in classes myself, take all the time you need. Anywho, don't think we'd take enough casulties to be worth posting, as capital ship weapons aren't made to hit small craft.))

Meanwhile the Zallun captain has met up with the boarding crew and have started to free the rest of the crew.

"Sir, Light Side Lunar Base has been destroyed by a renegade ship!'

"Damn! Deploy a task force to find it!"

"Yes sir!"

The task force heading for the crippled enemy consists of a superdreadnought, 2 C-Decs, 5 Lampreys, and 50 Space Falcon fighters.

The Takian SI, Lucy, projected a message to the enemy AI program, I'm sorry love, did I forget to mention that I'm going to enjoy annihilating you? You see, you shot me you bitch, now I'm going to return the favor by formating your ass so fast you won't know what hit you. With that, the battlecruiser's ancient Artificial Sentience program initiated hacking protocal, breaching the destroyer's computer security systems.

"whats the situation?" the takian commander, an abnormaly tall, abnormaly muscled human asked the Zallun captain, leading his squad in a search and rescue mission. "do you have internal security systems, how many crew are we going to pull out, and most importantly, do you have maps?"

Sadly the Takian SI could find no trace of the Furian AI, she had escaped with the escape pods.

Nala, seeing that the self-destruct sequence failed, contacted the other escape pods computers fia tightbeam trasmissions and ordered them to crash into the crippled destroyer. After having given the command to the escape pods, she used her own escape pods single-use slipstream drive to jump out to Kiith Furio space.

Inside the destroyer, the Zallun captain was guiding the boarding crew around the destroyer in search of the crew. The few engineers that had been found were set to work immediately to make emergency repairs.

Totally unaware of the incoming escape pods everyone was busy making the needed repairs.

ooc: Nala downloaded herself to one of the escape pods ^_^

The Republcan task forcer arrives, just as escape pods begin rocketing towards the crippled destoyer.

"Ensign, do those pods have life on them?"

"No sir!"

"Alright, Space Falcons, take 'em out.!"

The fighters descend, firing their terawatt lasers, destroying the pods before they could crash into the ship.

The Takain AS uploaded herself into the destroyer's computer banks, taking command of the ship and bringing everything online.

Oh commander. . . she vocalized, causing him to jump I have control of the ship, and can have her opperational within a matter of hours. . . though with the ammount of damage she's taken, we should escort her back to her home terratory. . . Captain, I hope you don't mind, but I've interfaced with your computer systems and made the nessasary corrections. . . I've also uploaded some Takian starmaps into your systems to assist us in returning home. . . unfortunaltly the hyperdrive is damaged, so I've ordered a fold drive to be installed from our storagebays. I rather hope you don't mind these. . . modifications.

the Zallun captain replied to the voice "Ofcourse I don't mind, but who are you?"

The name is Lucy, one of the wisest AS systems in the Takian fleet.

"and by that, she means obsolete, but too ornary to let anyone near her computer core to replace her. . ." the marine commander confided.

I heard that commander. . . perhaps you would like me to broadcast that collection of holo-vids in your private folder to your wife?

The commander blanched noticably, "that won't be nessessary Lucy, your a hell of a program, no need to replace you. If you'll remember, I stood up for you last time they tried to format you. . ."

That's simply because you had been tapped out for that job before and remembered how well defended my security core is. A holographic face of a young woman apeared on a near by screen, smirking darkly and you knew that I have no intention of ever ceacing to exist.

The commander shook his head. "Captain, I woudl like you to meet Lucy, the only AS still in existance that is not upgradable, and refuses to be replaced. . . . " He leaned in "and good luck getting rid of her now. . ."
