Vancouver Electoral Debate rages into third year

"This is ridiculous!" shouts passerby Pam Houston. "We need to decide on a bloody ruling party don't you think?"

Deadlocked for the last three years, the crisis continues, as by Vancouver's archaic election laws, a party must have a majority coalition to rule, and the Yuppie Alliance, Earth Mother Jihad, and the Automotive Workers Union have yet to come to any aggreements regarding ruling the city-state.

"This just shows that democracy doesn't work, and that they should have gone with my idea of crowning me Emperor." states bigshot Tony Rivera. "I mean, three years? What the hell is wrong with these people?"

An international panel has invited comment on the situation, and will be meeting this week in neutral neighboring Kitsalano to debate the issue.
