A lot of Nianacio is hot and rainy, but some areas are always covered in snow, and some are very dry.
North Germania
12-11-2003, 21:56
In the southern regions of North Germania, it is at the moment, ranging from 26 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit. (Region between Schleswig-Holstein and Frankfurt)Overcast skies and sleet. Northern regions range from 0 through 24 degrees Fahrenheit. (Schleswig-Holstein region to the Northern tip of Denmark) Overcast skies and lots of snow.

FYI: North Germania consists of the area above Frankfurt and extends to Denmark, and includes The Netherlands and Northwestern portions of Poland. Would give a political map, but alas, I don't know how to upload an edited picture onto a post.

It's cool and balmy here in the tropics. It never snows and it never falls below 65 degrees F. It's average high in the summer months is 75 degrees F. It rains about three times a month and which is about 5 inches of rain.

Yurka is covered in snow most of the year except for its "summer" which spans from June-August.

The highest temperature EVER recorded was 80 degrees Farenheit. It only been withing 10 degrees of that one other time. The usual temperature for the summer is 40-60 degrees. Winter is well below freezing.

It really varies depending on where you are. In the Empire and the Northern Dominions, the tendency is towards long, dreary, chilly, rainy springs, summers, and falls with dry, bitterly cold winters. It does snow every now and then, but not often enough to be famed for it. Noropia experiances a monsoon season from mid July to late September, which plays havoc with the shipping and coal mining industries in that Dominion.

Troobodia and Tharia, the Southern Dominions, tend to have a more dry summer, with maximum rains in the winter and early spring. The climate is also a good deal warmer, with more moderate tempature shifts.

Dianatran is an unmitigated desert. Moderate rains near the coast produce some greenland, but the wasteland is lucky to see a drop - it's more akin to the Sahara than the Sonoran desert.

except the Gorinskaya Oblast' (infamously cold) and the Moroz peninsula (not as cold, but horribly windy), the prevalent weather here ranges from cool and pleasant to damn freezing. we don't have a fall (it lasts about a week at best). it's cloudy in the summer, perpetually overcast in the winter (where we get between 1 meter and 4 meters of thick, wet snow. goes very well with huge, undisturbed, birch & pine forests), and sunny in the spring (when those 4 meters melt into mud). the record high is 30 degrees C. the record low is -115. more common ranges are 20 to -60.

potential invaders beware.

Most parts are forest climates, and there are some desert climates, mountian climites, and subterrainian climates. Usally it is between 55-75 degrees, but the weather is very varied.
Great Mateo
13-11-2003, 05:44
The north and south of the country are both largely desert, with the remaining portion of those areas being arid forest. The forests receive enough rain for hardy trees and shrubs to grow, but foreign species of flora quickly die out. The Zahri Desert in the north and Zom Desert in the south both receive less than 4 inches of a rainfall per year, but have a large oasis near the center. In the case of both deserts, military training bases have been set up over the oasises. Day time temperature during the summer can reach up to 110* Fahrenheit in these areas, but night time and winter temperatures can be bitterly cold, with temperatures as low a 5* Fahrenheit. Both areas are prone to wind storms year round.

Along the entire length of the western border, and part of the southern border, rises the might Burketz range. These mountains are extremely high, with an average height of over 8,000 feet. Throm Peak in the south east is the tallest, at a height of 22,500 feet. The area around these mountains is in a constant state of winter. Hardy evergreens cover the base and slopes of the mountains, with the tops being snow and bare rock. While temperatures may rise as high as 50 degrees Fahrenheit at the base of the mountain during the 'summer' months, temperatures on the mountain remain at an average of 15 degrees Fahrenheit year round, with temperatures dropping to -60 degrees in the dead of winter. The moisture and wind blocked by the high chain of mountains unleashes constant squalls and blizzards, keeping the area perpetually snow covered.

The central portion of Great Mateo is composed mainly of open prairie and deciduous forests. These areas receive good amounts of rain, but flooding is quite rare. Temperatures during the summer reach around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and stay that way for most of the season. Fall and spring are nearly non-existant, with the climate quickly switching from wintery to balmy in mid-May, and switching from balmy to chilly in early October. Winter is a nearly year round event in these regions, with many areas receiving their first measurable snow in mid-November. Temperatures during the winter can get as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Occasional storms from the western mountains can dump as much as 3 feet of snow at once, though the average snow storm leaves 6 inches or so. The area is mildly windy throughout the year.

The Eastern coast of Great Mateo is all coastal plain and beach, and enjoys a cool summer or spring type climate throughout the year. Temperatures in the summer never reach far above 78 degrees Fahrenheit, and winter time temperatures never drop far below 50 degrees. These areas receive rain almost daily due to the heat and humidity, and tropical storms can cause great damage and coastal flooding at times, though these storms are rare.

Temperate forest. Generally flat coastal area, with a rocky, formerly volcanic interior. Very rainy. Not terribly different from the United States Northwest, at a latitude about that of San Francisco. Our closest neighbor to the east is Alcatraz.

Azeria has relatively low pollution and strictly-enforced environmental regulations. We welcome tourists to our world-famous Smoky Dragon National Park.

Overall, it's pretty mellow weather. During the summer we get a lot of "beach days," where locals and tourists hang out in lawn chairs and smoke reefers.

Far better than the UN reports would have you believe.

Same here.

We have Brazil and Venezuela. A few other nice Caribbean destinations. Then we have Canada. The southeast can be nice during the summer - esp. along the maritimes. But the north and west can be embarassingly like a polar wasteland.

Our mainland: Think North Carolina. Mixed bag of a lot with some hurricane once in a while. That part of our coast is sparcely populated though.
