Today, Commonwealth Gaurd officials approved the Albatross Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle (AIFV) begin production and enter military service. Vervun scientists have been working on the design, based on the Schützenpanzer Marder 1 A3, for some months now, and the Albatross joins the Piranha III 8x8 based Griffin and the Vervun version of the TAM, the Vervun Medium Tank (VMT) as the latest armoured vehicles of the Commonwealth Gaurd Armoured Corps. All three vehicles have already entered the first stage of production, with many more expected to follow.
Work continues on a mobile light and heavy artillery vehicle and a heavy tank. Currently, no plans to sell the designs on the open marked have been put forward.
