we are allowing 3 trillion over 30 years to a massive new defense project. It would beginning with starting at the border that faces land in total we have 1200 kilometers of such border, we would make a 110 foot ditch going 10 kilometers in land. The bottom 10 feet of the hole will be filled with concrete, as well the 100 feet outwards from he wall will also be concrete. In the ditch it will be landmines and barbed wire. On top of the concrete there will be a bunker every 100 meters. These bunkers will have strong anti air defense and anti-tank and anti infantry forces. About 10 meters back from the bunkers would be heavy 12 inch guns. The bunkers will be connected by a ditch 10 feet deep to stage extra forces. Being the front 500 meters back will be SM-2s designed to take out missiles. At 2.5 kilometers back there are rows of artillery, firing 152 mm shells. Below the bunkers will be connected by moving walkways, that connect to TGV rails that can move 50 tanks at 300 kilometers an hour. Every kilometer there is a TGV station. The TGV rail is at 3 stories down and is 1 kilometer from the front. Below the rails at 5 stories down are staging grounds where tanks and infantry can wait to be sent to places of need. Also 5 kilometers back there will be breach fixers where tanks can be withdrawn if the bunkers are breached. There tanks can roll out very fast. There is one of these every 25 kilometers. Tanks can also be withdrawn at the TGV stations,a nd be sent to the surface stations above them. On the sea coast the cliffs are being more fertilized to make it harder to go. On the top of the hills, there will be more bunkers and TGV stations. ON the bottom of the cliffs, tunneled in will be more bunkers, still connected to the rest of the system. 25 kilometers out to sea there will be a 1 kilometer thick wall surrounding every possible opening. The only way through will be a 500 meter opening. This will cost an estimated 300 billion to make, will take 10 years, and will take 100,000 troops to maintain. The ideal number of troops to defend are 16 million. If Lima Beens reaches Deacon 4 (there are 5 deacons in Lima Beens) 2 million troops will man the complex, if we reach Deacon 3 5 million men will man it. If we reach Deacon 2 the complex will be completely manned. In peace 100,000 men will man the complex. It will be called the Sir Jono Line

I also wish to invite you to build a command center on board of our enormous command carrier. Although construction has already began, may I suggest you make a mine field with spiky objects, mines, and generally annoying stuff in it in front of this "ditch". That way, an enemy would be moving much slower on approach and would allow more shots to be fired on them.

After my engineers complete our own defencive wall, although considerbly smaller, but much more sturdy (the whole thing is one giant bunker, with hidden artillary placements and the like)

Once we are completed, perhaps we will send over a few engineers to help you, and a couple billion.

The fact remains to to win a war you have to go heavy offence, you can't simply sit in your bunker. We woudl offer you something, but as a spacing nation, really don't see how we could help, save maybe to loan you a few shuttlecraft or sell you materials.

not really, the Germans were on the offencive, and yo udon't win an officencive war by sitting still. Its a moot points anywhays though, war has changed massivly since WWI, as a modern nation, you've got blitzkrieging tanks, airborne special forces, cruise missiles, ect to watch out for. If I wanted to attack your country I'd simply launch cruise missile strikes against your deffencive possitions, followed by laser targeted air munitions, followed by special forces to clean up everything while your men are trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

Lima Beens is this trench really going to be 10km wide, and how are you going to get troops and supplies into/out of the trench? And how are people going to cross the border?

Taka you can't airdrop armor or heavy artillery and you can't get them across the trench so the paratroopers would be at a disadvantage against enemy troops behind the main defensive line but I guess Lima Beens is going to post most of his men at the trench and will overestimate his defense line.

Don't forget what would happen if an MBT happened to get tangled in a tree, or hit a house, or fall into a marsh/swamp or any other unfavorable terrain.

Silly Kahta, thats what carpet bombing is for, clearing rather large dropzone. So long as it lands treads first it'll be alright. but as I said, Dropships delivered from space do the job quite well.

we get them across by one bridge, with explosives constantly wired... besides even if you get acroos the trench you need to remember that I have my own forces. To get across the trench you also need to get acros anti air stations and fihter jets. Kahta your bunker is being added to the blueprinets

for the cruise missles, we do have SM-2s :D some would get through and not enough. Even if you get rid of the bunkers you need to march up a 100 foot wall. IN war games it took 100 million men without nuclear weapons to even get 1 man up th ecliff, and live for an hour.

Before long, LRR freight frigates start landing, delivering the supplies of Eggs and Banannas. Also, a column (100-150) of marines is deployed at the bunker. They are armed with plasma pistols and Nuclear Blasters, as well as police whistles.

Tunnels are being fil;led with cement, , even more dirt is being carried away. The cliffs, are beinga dded on two, and tunneled into to place secendary bunkers. It is definatly a sight to see.

nearly all the dirt has been taken away, concrete is arriving in huge quanites.as for the TGV rail, 500 kilometers is dug, and 230 has been cemented. The Line is 20% done.

The fence is a quarter done the cement is being pored, the TGV rails are getting more and more nearer to completeion, and the staging grounds are being dug.

For all dissenters: You can't simply bomb something this big and make it go away, it would take years. You CAN NOT drop tanks by air b/c they will break when they hit. Some future tech should be ignored, not mine :)

The TGV line and the cementing of the ditch is done as well as the solid wall of mines on the coast. As of right now we are working on the stagging grounds and putting brabed wire mines etc. on the beachhead and ditch. The bunkers are starting to be made.

a late edition is being made. 25 kilometers out to sea a one kilometer cement wall is going to be made. It will have one opening 500 meters wide. It will add an extra 30 billion to the price. The only way into Lima Beens by sea is that 500 meter opeining.

Lima, to put this simply: you can't pull this money out of your ass. You're dumping way too much funding that you don't have into a defense plan more paranoid than Stalin, and as outdated as the Great Wall of China.

You can probobly get 16 Million to man it. Why not invest your 60 Trillion and get a reasonable interest rate on it. Assuming you had a 5% interest rate you would get 3 Trillion a year ON INTEREST ALONE!!!!

OOC: Okay how long are your years? You go from .7% done on the 20th to 10% down on the 23rd to 11.5% the 24th and then 13% in the same day(24th). Going by this your on par to finish in less than an IRL month.

Lima, after seeing the cost of this project spiral out of control, you could have probobly re-equipped your ENTIRE ARMED FORCES several times. Please spend money more wisely in the future and we will begin sending you aid again.
