Here is my military... my 4th attempt so please lay off and offer suggestions

Soviet Canukastan
Population: 448 000 000
Percentage of population in armed forces: 2.5%
Total number of men and women in armed forces: 11200000
Note: Due to Soviet Canukastan's dictator's paranoia everyone over the age of 16 and under the age of 45 without any physical handicaps or illnesses spend two months every year in military training or in military assignments
and the rest of the Partisan guard (The National Guard) can be mobilized within 36 hours.

another draft comrade? I do thouse my self. how long are your conscripts drafted fomr? 1 year or more?

heh, yeah I enjoy this. Anyways, all citizens of SC HAVE to join the military for at least a few weeks a year, from age 21 to 42. Of course, at times of war, conscripts are in the army for an indefinite amount of time.

We have a simular system of rapid conscription during conflict, but during peaceful times we have approx 50,000 conscript a year draft, plus anual vulonteers that serve a four year term.

Ah, our voluteer soldiers must serve about 8 months, with 4 months spread throughtout the year as time for soldiers to go back to their family and what not.

well our volunteers become professsional solders with a four year contract and then they can sign up again for another for year, they are the only ones capable of rising hrough the ranks to higher positions. Conscripts do get promoted by not very high up, certainly not out of their units.
