OOC: Hey everyone, I'm joe, I go to college in Ohio, a Poli Sci Major, so the interest in this site/forum should seem like a no-brainer eh? Ok...well now off to it.

IC: Mishran is a small Republic (about two to three weeks old real time) interested primarily in trade negotiations and economic stability. Her government is interested in working together to foster trade and peace in the region (My Poli Sci prof would call this Idealism). However, the founders of Mishran understand that an Idealistic worldview is simply put unrealistic. The current Parliament (system is based primarily off of Japans Diet) has no misunderstanding that a small, country based in a region similar in makeup to that of Turkey (hot but not completely inhospitable) has little or no power to back up any threats it makes. With most of our budget put to Social sturctures and subsidies, and a powerhouse of a private sector pulling the strings behind the scenes, a relativly small budget and a small population make Conquering low on the priority list. The Ministry of Defense in Mishran is concerned with just that, Defense, and as of now relies heavily on Local State Militias, National Guardsmen and Police Forces for any form of Military resistance.

A standing army of 30,000 personelle total is used primarily to aid in UN peacekeeping operations (Mishran believes in the UN to an almost nieve level) and on aid missions to Impoverished Nations (food to starving peoples, aid in Industrialization or in setting up a stable economy). There are more Economic Specialists, advisors, support specialists than there are soldiers.

The standard issue rifle is the M16A1 and 2, most troops are transported in Huey's and M113's or old BMP's retofitted if at all possible. Armored divisions are little more than a dream in our General's Eye, all we have now are a few armored support companies, Leopard III's primarily (we have like...30), couple of T-72's and a few dozen Bradley's. As you can see its mostly an obsolete military. Our Air Force consists of some Cobra's and a few Hinds for specialist insertion. Our Navy is non-existent except for a few patrol boats and Coast Guard Cutters, thats it pretty much.

The Mishran Auto industry is strong, and if anyone wants any we have several fine luxury auto's for your delegates to drive, we also do custom work. Our tailors and Fashion designers have some very attractive suits (think Merovingian from Revolutions) for use too, and never will it be said that a Mishrani Politician was poorly dressed.

Welcome to the international comunity, we are glad to see a nation making its debute in a realistic and peaceful manner, and would be interesetd in setting up trade with you, as our expanding empire is always in need of goods and services that we are not always able to produce at home. For some stats on my country, i have a population of 14 million (as of a few minutes ago), and am called a Father Know's Best State, have a Very Strong Economy (down from Thriving :cry: ) decent social rights and Unheard of Political Rights, hehe.

All of you guys need to learn the correct grammer. Also, you could probably self develop most of the modern tech. You arn't starting in the stone age, you are starting at modern age. Future tech isn't possible for you yet though.

My only bits of advice would be not to Godmod, try to get on good terms with the international community (i.e. not using slavery and child labor) and not invading people for no reason. Also, if you haven't already, join th UN (the process is usually 1 day).

Lord Edward: You are quite correct in reference to the starting tech level, i'm on par with everyone, its just that my military machine is rather under-developed as the Mishran Government considers war a far too costly matter. As a matter of fact, we consider ourselves competitive on the Telecommunications market (though nowhere near cutting edge) on the other hand, our Auto Manufacturing facilities are first rate, and the new Payten Galletea has been recieveing rave reviews (she's a very sleek, sexy, luxurious ride, sports an engine capable of getting you out of sticky situations fast, and a sound system to make the brotha's in the hood jealous, so you can blast Beetoven over the popular tunes of today's youth)

High Chief Quetzalcoatl: I welcome your advice, we are already a UN member, and while in our past our ancestors were known to have used a close approximation of slavery (feudal serfs) we no longer practise such barbarism. We relish that most of the world has advanced beyond such practises.

Independand Hitmen: Wow, all I could possibly say is thank you, I don't know how to repay you for such a generous gift (Chief of Staff of the Navy has been telling me how much our commando's have enjoyed thier new toys)...Mind you our "Navy" consists of about two dozen Coast Guard Cutters...and then there is the Commando Unit...do rubber insertion dingy's get counted when one stats up his navy ( :wink: ). For what its worth, your Custom's department recieves an entire wardrobe of this fall's most fashionable suits with a note that reads "Now, Rule with Style!" P.S. we all know the Merovingian was useless in a fight, but god was he well dressed, and look at what kind of power he played around with! Now you have the best of both worlds! Enjoy.
