Susan sat in her chair as the plane made its final approch in. Information at this point was skectchy at best. All she knew was that her only daughter had been shot, and was enroute to the hospital.

She looked down at her hands that where trembling. She feared for her daughters life.

Commander Clancey and his team entered the room just in time to see them take Jade in for surgery.

She was pale, and coughing up blood. she didn't look to good.

He looks over at his team. "I want the area secure, and find me the person that brought her in, I want to know what happened.

He didn't know what to do. Calnux just stood behind the door, staring at the one women he loved, dieing on the bed. Had he asked her to stay behind, she would have been ok. On the other hand, she might have been hurt worse, if not killed on the spot. Calnux walks over to get a drink of water, and gages. Walking over to a trash can, he starts to puke from the thought of losing her. He walks back to the door, and seems them opening her chest.

"How can I watch this? I love her, and she is dying. I feel like I shouldn't be here, but I know I must stay here for her, and for myself."

He just stands at the door, looking in, and waiting......

The car weaved in and out of traffic as it made its way to the hospital. the driver wsa under instruction's to make sure that they got there as fast as possible.

Sitting in the back was Susan Clrackson, head of Tappee's intellegnce Tibunal, but more importandly Jade's mother. He had not said much during the trip

"How long until we are there?" she asked in a calm voice.

"About 20 minutes ma'am" replied the driver.

Susan couldonly hope that her daughter would still be alive when she arrived

Clancey see's a man vomiting into a nearby garbage can. He nods at some of his men. They make their way over to him.

"My Name Fred Clancey, Tappee Intellegence. I've been told by the staff that you where the one who brought her in. Can you tell me what happened?"

Bring his head up, Calnux drinks a little water, then answer the man,

"I'm Calnux Bracada. Yeah, I'm the one that brought her in. She was helping me with a friend who was ill last time I saw him. We bought his meds and were going back to see him, and he was dead. We buried him, then two women came flying around the corner in a car. They shot at us, and Jade was hit in the arm. She shot out one of the tires, and the car wrecked."

Trying to hold back tears, he goes on,

"Jade started walking towards the car, and fired her whole clip. The lady in the car got off a round though, and it hit Jade in the chest. Both women in the car died, and I brought Jade here. I don't know what to do though. I'll help in away way I can though. The people who wanted this done need to be killed."

Calnux hits the wall, putting a rather large hole in it, then gets some more water.

Clancey makes his way behind Calnux

"Don't worry, we'll get the ones resonsible for this."

Across town the second team pulled up to the crime scene. Local authority had already arrived and where begining their investigation.

A member of the security team went to cross the line but was stopped by a police office

"I'm afraid I can't let you in"

the Security officer flashed his badge "I'm with Tappee Intellegence now let us in." he took another step forward but agin was stopped.

"I'm afraid you don't have jursidiction here."

Other members of the security team took up an offensive postion "The woman that was injured in the attack was the Daughter of the President of Tappee. Now unless you want an international incident here I would suggest that you step aside."

The police officer stepped aside allowing the team to enter the crime scene.

The car had hardly came to a stop when Susan had jumped out and ran in the hospital.

Making her way through the doors she desperately looked someone should would know. Panicking she ran to the receptionist.

"My daughter was brought in here with where is" she had started the poor receptionist "WHERE IS SHE" she yelled.

The receptionist pointed down the hallway "She in emergancy surgery, it's that way."

Susan took off down the hallway. her security team was having trouble keeping up.

Calnux saw the women running down the hall.

"This must be the mother."

Stepping in front of the door, he says to the women,

"Excuse me ma'am. Let them do what they can. Just trust them. Jade will be alright. If you can't trust them, trust me on this."

Calnux crosses his arms in front of his chest, showing he will not move.

Susan feet slide across the floor as she tries to stop when a man steps in front of her

"And just who might you be"

She goes to move past him. All she want right now is to see her daughter.

"I'm Calnux Bracada. I was with Jade when she was shot. I can assure you she is in good hands. If you want to talk, let's talk, but let them do what they must., please, for her sake."

"Excuse me, Mr. Clancey, when you find the people that did this, what are you going to do to them? If at all possible, do you think you could let me help bring them in? I'm in love with Jade, and would do anything to help bring in the people that did this to her."

Just then, the doctor came out of the Operating Room.

"Well, here comes the news" Calnux thought to himself.

OOC: Go ahead and tell us what happens to Jade. She is your character after all.

OOC: There will be more to come, got to go to work

Susan ran over to the doctor. “How’s my daughter, is she going to be OK” There was panic in her voice.

The doctors voice was cold an emotionless “Can I talk to you in privet” He leads Susan into a separate room. As she made her way into the room she realized something.

Glancing over at the man who had stopped her she could see a look of concern on his face. There was more between him and Jade then what she knew. But from his actions when she had come in she knew that he cared for her. She motioned for him to follow.

Once everyone is in the doctor closes the door.

“Your daughter was shot twice. Once in the arm, the other in the chest.”

Susan closed her eye’s trying to fight back the tears

“The one in the arm ricocheted off the bone. There was some minor tissue damage, but nothing serious.”

She took a deep breath, from her experiences she knew that this was the good news she wasn’t sure if she could handle the bad.

“However, the one to the chest was more serious. Her vest absorbed most of the impact, but it was a specially modified bullet, designed to penetrate Kevlar. The bullet entered her right lung causing it to collapse, and massive haemorrhaging. We were able to seal up the wound and remove the bullet. Your daughter lost a lot of blood. We gave her a blood transfusion, but with the amount of blood that she lost it may not be enough. Once a person loose so much blood there not much we can do for them, even with a transfusion. You daughter has about a 30% chance of survival at this point. I’m sorry.”

The new hit Susan like a freight train. On the way here she had tried to prepare her self for this. But actually hearing it was too much for her to take. She bolted out of the room looking for the nearest water fountain. Splashing water in her face she tried to calm her self. Commander Clancey made his way over.

“How is she?”

Susan had been looking for some to blame. Clancey was the closest person. She reached out grabbing shirt and violently shook him.

“It was your job to protect her. Where were you.” Tear where flowing from her eye’s “WHERE WERE YOU”

Members of the security team were quick to jump in and try to pull her off him. They struggled to keep her back. Susan was able to get a hand free; with all her might she struck him. Her blow sent him sprawling back.
“Get off me” she yelled

The men let her go. She collapsed to the ground over come by emotion. By this time she was crying uncontrollably. A man in suite came to her side

“It’s OK Susan I’m here” he calmly said. She gasped for breath. Looking up she realized who it was “How bad is it” he helped her to her feet.

“It really bad” the tears where still coming. All she could was bury her face in her husbands chest.”

He reached his arms around her taking her in, holding her close.

“Where is she now” he asked out loud.

“She’s been transferred to ICU, if you’ll follow me sir”

The couple was lead to Jade’s room. For the moment only medical staff where allowed to enter. Allenson was sick to stomach seeing his daughter like this.

Jade had been placed on a respirator, IV lines been placed for both Saline, and Blood. They could hear the beeps of the heart monitor.

They weren’t religious but all they could do now was pray.

Jade was surrounded by a black empty void.

“Hello, anyone out there” She yelled.

But the only response was the sound of her own echo. The last thing that she remembered was looking up at Calnux as they took her into the hospital. Was she dead. Was this the fabled afterlife? She wasn’t sure, she felt very much alive.

Out of now where she heard the sound of crying. She turned to see a little girl crying. The girl was sitting one the ground holding her leg, quietly crying.

Jade kneeled down beside the girl, and looked and leg. The girl had a large cut on her knee.

“You should get someone to look at the cut” Jade said.

The little girl looked up at her. “I’ve got no who cares about me”

“There’s always some who cares..” but as Jade finished those words, she realized who the girl was, it was her.

A flood of memories came to her all at once, she could recall it like it was yesterday. When she was seven years old she had decided to try and run away from the orphanage, while she was making her way through the forest she had slipped and cut her knee. She had been unable to walk and stranded out there for four days. It was during that she realized that she was truly alone, and that no one would ever be there to help. She felt alone then, and she felt alone now.

The girl in front of her faded away.

“You where right, in what you told her.” Said a voice from behind her. He had startled her. She looked over to see a man standing behind her. At first she though it was Calnux, but soon realized that it was someone else. “There is always someone who cares”

“Who are you?” she asked.

The man took a step forward “It doesn’t really matter right now”

Jade was rather confused “Am I dead”

“Sort of, you are stuck between life and death. You’ve been given a second chance”

“But why, after all the things that I’ve done, why a second chance?”

“There are things that need to be done, and there are people who need you.” An image appears in the ground. She could see her parents standing there, holding each other. “He needs you as well.” She can see Calnux standing near them “You must decide who was right. “The old you, or the new you. The choice is yours to make.”

When she women motioned for him to follow, he realized that she knew. She knew how much he cared for her. He tried to hide his emotion when she walked him, but he couldn't do it. He was worried he might lose Jade. As he walked into the room, the doctor gave the news.

Calnux just stood there. He couldn't think. He locked up, and couldn't move. He saw Jade's mother run out of the room, and saw her slap Clancey, and Calnux kind of chuckled inside, seeing how far back she sent him. He ran out into the hall, and saw what appeared to be Jade's father.

“Where is she now?” the man asked out loud.

“She’s been transferred to ICU, if you’ll follow me sir” the doctor said.

As they approached her room, the doctor said that no one could go in, only look through the window at her. It was a horrible sight. You could hardly see Jade with all the IV's going into her. Even though the glass, you could hear she was having a hard time breathing even with the machine doing it for her. A few minutes after the doctor left, Calnux walked into the room.

"I need to she her. I don't care what they say." he thought to himself.

He kneeled next to her and said,

"Jade, I don't know if you can hear me. All I know, is that you can't die on us. By us, I mean your mother, father, and I. We need you. I need you. I need you here. I don't know how I made it this far in life without you, and I don't know how far I will make it without you. I love you Jade. You can't die on me."

Calnux started crying, and his tears started to drip onto Jade's face. He heard the door open, but didn't say anything. He knew it was the doctors. He leaned forward and gave her a kiss, and said,

"I love you Jade. Please don't leave me."

He turned around, got to the doctor and said to him,

"Please doctor, do everything you can. I'll give my life if it means she will life."

With that, Calnux went over to Jade's parents.

"Excuse me ma'am, sir, I'm sorry I was unable to protect your daughter. I know it is most likely mearly nothing more with words, but I mean it. Ma'am, you slapped Clancey for not protecting her, but I was the one that was with her. It was MY job to protect her, and I failed. I take full responsibility for this inncident. I'll do anything I need to do to keep her alive, even if it means losing my own life. I'm in love with you daughter."

Calnux sat down on the sat outside the room, and just cried.

Across town the investigation team continued their search of the crime scene. They had been there for a few hours now, and the sun was beginning to go down. Normally this would have been just another day on the job for the Intelligence team. But this time it was personal.

Most of the team had attended the academy with Jade and where friends of hers. They were going to do all in their power to get the ones responsible.

“I think that you should see this Carl” yelled one of the members who was standing beside one of the bodies

“What is it Rob?” Carl kneeled down beside the body, and watched as Rob pulled back the woman sleeve reviling a tattoo. It was a picture of a snake squeezing the planet earth.

Carl sighed, “This is going to greatly complicate things”

Rob nodded in agreement “I know. Also I was talking to one of the Locals a she told that there was an attack at a pharmacy. Apparently someone was looking for woman, and wanted the address to the prescription that was filled. We found a full bottle of pills near a gravesite just over there. It was filled today, I think that there’s a connection.”

“Thanks Rob I go checkout it myself”

Jade could feel cold mist hit her face. Before she opened her eye’s she took a deep breath, it smelt like the ocean. When she opened her eye’s she realized that she was no longer in the black void, but instead sitting on some rocks near the ocean.

Confuse she took a moment to look around, anlaysising the area. After a moment or two she knew where she was. Up off in the distance she could see the academy. When she had attended the academy this was her sanctuary.

Pausing for a moment she listen the to wave hit to rock. The action caused mist to spray into her face. She could care less it was relaxing, soothing.

Jade could remember when she first came here. She had just found out her parents were alive. Confused, scared she had found refuge here. Ironic that now she may loose them.

However, as much as she enjoyed being here, she wasn’t sure what was going on. The man had told her that she had to make a choice. And she had, she had chosen to live.

“It’s not that simple” Jade looked to her right to see the man sitting on a rock beside. It was if he could read her very thoughts

“What’s not that simple.” She asked

The man chuckles “The choice. Don’t you think that most people given the choice you been given would pick life.” He leans back getting into a more comfortable position. “Life isn’t that simple, and neither is this. Behind all our choices are reasons why we made that choice. Everything in life happens for a reason.”

“So all this is some part of a great master plan, is that it?” she was getting kind of annoyed by all this philosophical babble. “Who are you”

“Just a guide, there only some much I can tell you. You have to do the rest.” He glances at his watch “You must fully understand before you move on. I would suggest that you hurry, yotu time IS limited.”

Susan had taken a seat she had stopped crying. Allenson kneeled down in front of her. He placed both hands on her shoulders. Looking in her eye’s he knew that they’d need each other to get through this.

“It’s going to be OK, she a fighter like her mother, she going to get through this” It was taking every once of strength that he had to keep it together. “You’re a doctor why don’t you go see if there’s anything that you can do. You can help her more then I can at this moment” Susan nodded in agreement. Both of them knew that keeping busy would help keep their minds off the terror that stood in front of them.

As Susan got up to go look for the doctor Allenson noticed Calnux sitting across the room sitting across the room crying. He was taking the news about as hard as they were. Allenson got up and walked over to him taking the seat next to him. He placed his hand on the mans shoulder.

“I would like to thank you for all that you’ve done for my daughter. If you weren’t there she would have died there on the spot. You saved her life.” The tears where finally starting to come to his eyes “As for your apology earlier, it was not need. If we want to play the blame game to whos failed Jade, it would be me. The work I asked her to do made her many enemies. Enemies that I thought I could protect her from. I can only hope that my arrogance doesn’t cost my daughter her life.”

Seeing the tears come to his eyes, he knew that this man didn't want to lose this daughter. Even though they had only known each other for a short time, he still loved her.

"Sir, I know you might think I'm saying this a little pre-maturely, but I love your daughter. I knew the moment I saw her I was going to be with her. I want to help find those that did this. If there is anything I can do, I will gladly do it. I don't see how anyone could do anything but love her. I mean, look at her. She is beautiful, kind, and caring. I don't care if I make enemies out of friends. I'm willing to do it for her."

Just as he said that, the doctor walks into the room.

"Well folk, I have some news. It could be good, and it could be bad. It's up to you to decide that. As you can see, Jade has rapid eye movements. You can see her eyes behind behind the lid. What that means is she is dreaming. If she is dreaming, she has brain activity. Now, the thing is, she COULD be in a coma. We can't say for how long, but she could just be sleeping. There is no way for us to tell just yet. If you have any further questions, I'll be outside."

Hearing this, Calnux walks over to the bed. He gives Jade a kiss, and whispers into her ear.

"Jade, I know you can hear me. Your mother and father are here. We want you to wake up. We NEED you to wake up. It might be selfish, but I need you. I can't go on without you. I love you Jade. I don't think I can make it without you. I just lost my father. I can't lose you now. Please, come back to us Jade. Please."

Jade’s surrounds faded away, and were replaced by a new scene. She was back in the bar, but something was wrong. She looked around, everyone was frozen, it was if time had stopped.

Looking over at the bar tender she could she time pouring a drink, the liquid had stopped mid flight. There was Rashel, and Jyai talking, Zephyr was walking over to them. In the corner sat the Tarsian playing his oracina. And there sitting alone at table was Calnux, the look on his face made her sick. It was the same look that she had saw as she passed through the door on the stretcher, the look of hopelessness. Now she understood. Motion behind her caught her attention.

“What do you want now?”

“Your getting good at this, have you figured it out yet.” Said the man as a smile came across his face.

She turned to him “You said I had a choice, I assumed it was about living or dying, but I wasn’t. Was it”

“Your right it wasn’t”

“You’ve shown me turning points in my life. When I was child and thought I was alone. Next when I found out I wasn’t and swore to myself to do all in my power not to hurt those close to me. And last when I found the one person who could make me break my promise”

The man walks over the bar and grabs a glass of water taking drink. “Very good. Continue”

“Each of the three scene represents a one of my choice. Option one, to die. Option two, live and continue to do what I’ve been doing, but I’ll lose Calnux, but be working for the greater good. Option three, live and stop working for my father, but who knows how many innocent lives could be lost in the mean time.”

The man nodded in agreement “There you go now you understand”

She smiles “More importantly I understand the reason”

The man couldn’t help but chuckle. “I see that you’ve made your choice”

Red lights where flashing everywhere as Carl stepped out the car. Taking a moment he surveyed the scene. He notice some press where standing behind the police barricade, this was small town, and things like this didn’t occur often. Had they been back in Tappee they would have been able to keep this quite. Then again if they where in Tappee this would not have happened.

Carl made his way into the pharmacy. He was greeted by a local police officer. “You must by the Guy from Tappee, HQ said you would be stopping by. Heard about your girl, it looks like some messed up on that one hey”

Carl reached out and pushed the man against the wall, and held him there. “Watch your mouth, she’s a personal friend.” With that he let him go. “What have got.”

The officer fixed his tie, he realized the emotion were running, if had been one his he’d probably done the same.

“Not much. There was one male, and one female that entered the store late this afternoon. They made their way to the back and talked to the pharmacist, asked him a few question. They want to see if had seen a woman, who matches your lady. The pharmacist said she was by earlier to fill a prescription. After that they wanted to the address for the said prescription, the Pharmacist refuse. Then the man freaks, pulls a gun and tells everyone that he about to start killing people, so the Pharmacist caves gives him the info, then leaves. But don’t worry we got the whole thing on tape, from the security camera’s” he points to a number of camera’s located through out the store.

“Can I see it” asked Carl.

“Sure” the police officer leads him to the back of the store where a T.V and VCR are located. He put the tape in and lets it play. Carl watches with interest at the scene that unfolds. It’s not long until it finishes.

“Can I have a Copy”

The police officer smile “Already done” he hands Carl a cassette.

“Thank I’ve seen all I need to here.”

He heads back to the car. Members of his team are waiting “What now boss”

He hands them the cassette. “Upload this to HQ, print me some photo’s. We’re heading to the hospital.”

Susan had made her way in the room. She had heard about the eye movement, to her this could mean a number of things. It could mean that she was dreaming, but that didn’t mean that she’d pull through. Or worse yet, her neurons where randomly firing, which could mean brain damage. She didn’t want to say anything, as she didn’t want to upset her husband or Calnux. They both had so much hope. That was the funny thing about hope, most of the time it was a good thing, then there were times when it could do more harm then good. What was she thinking, there was always hope, if they didn’t have hope what did they have.

She took a moment to look at her daughter lying there, strangely she seem so peaceful. That when she noticed. Jade’s hand had squeezed Calnux hand. Jade began to gag on the repository line that was in her throat. If her gag reflex had kicked in that could only mean that she was awake.

“Take it easy honey” she reached over and began to remove the tubing. Once it was out she coughed a bit.

Susan could feel the joy in the room as the others in the room realized what was happening.

OOC: Awww, I like the long ones!

Feeling Jade sqeeze his hand brought a huge smile to his face.

"Did....did you guys see that?! She squeezed my hand!"

Calnux looked up at her parents, and grinned widely.

"I'll go get the doctor."

Walking out of the room, Calnux calls the doctor into the room.

"Doc, she squeezed my hand! That is a good sign, right? Right? She is going to be ok, right? PLEASE tell me she is going to be ok! I can't lose her."

ooc: lol. yeah well you try to them. I took me nearly an hour to come up with one. Its getting late. i'm going to bed. I'll try to come up with another for the morning.

OOC: Ok, get some sleep. You are also doing more then one character at the same time in different places....

Susan sat on the bed next to her daughter. She reached over and gently rubbed her forehead. While brushing away some hair that was in Jade’s face she looked at her husband. He had his face in his hands, and was quietly thanking God under his breath.

Leaning over her daughter she could see that her daughter had open her eyes. “Mom.” Her words were muffled, and hardly audible.

“Just take it easy honey.” She looked over at the monitors for a moment reading the vitals “You’ve been through a lot. Close your eyes a get some rest. You’re going to need it.” She looked down at Jade eyes “We’re all here. Now get some sleep.”

As Jade closed her eyes Susan sat up off the bed. Walking over to her husband she took his hand. “She needs her rest we should go. We can wait outside.” The two made their way out of the room turning the light of as they did.

Two security guards armed with MP5’s and full body arm had taken up position outside the door. Allenson turned to them “Don’t let anyone in there that has been authorized understand.” The guards gave him a salute.


Carls car pulled up in front of the hospital. It had turned into a media frenzy. Both local and international media had descended to the scene. Looking back towards the Hospital he could a large number of Security personal, they were fully armed. It looked more like a military base now then a hospital.

Walking towards the main door he flash his badge at the guard standing at the door. The guard gives him a quick salute then open the door. Commander Clancey is waiting at there to greet him. Carl couldn’t help but notice Clancey black eye, he had seen him a few hours ago, and was fine. Carl had no idea what had happened, but had a pretty good idea.

“I need to talk to Allenson, where is he”

“Follow me” Clancey leads Carl through a series of corridors. It wasn’t long until they found Allenson and Susan in the waiting room. Allenson looks up from his chair.

“Please tell me you got some good news”

Carls nods “I think I do. They where to track her via prescription that was fill earlier today. We got this from the surveillance camera’s” He hands Allenson a folder filled with photo’s “The woman was killed in the gun fight with Jade. As for the male we’ve upload everything to HQ Anerton is try to confirm that it’s real him”

A concerned look come over Allenson face, Susan looks over his shoulder at the photo. He lets out a deep sigh “This is greatly going to complicate things. Clancey, contact Eagle one, have her ready for flight in 20 min, I’ve got to go back to Iaceo”

Susan took a step back “Your leaving”

Allenson grabbed his jacket from the chair. “If he’s alive then the safety of conference is in jeopardy”

“Our daughter is lying in there inches away from death, and you going to just LEAVE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.” Carl and Clancey looked over at each other they could sense the fight coming. Quietly they stepped out of the room.

Allenson looked over at Susan “Jade risked every to stabilize Iaceo, I’m not going to let her work be in vein. There are more lives at stake now then just hers”

Susan took a step in the two where now face to face. “The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few. We’ve been told that since we were children, and what has it gotten us. We’ve buried everyone that we were ever close. Claire was right, it is nothing more then a bunch of BS.’

Allensons face turned beat red “Don’t you EVER mention that name” he was yelling as loud as he could “Claire is the reason that our daughter is lying in that bed now.” He point towards Jades room. “We knew what our job was, Jade knew what her job was. Our job is to protect our way of life no matter the cost. Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got a job to do.” He turned and started to make his way out

“Smith” she yelled to him. He stopped a few feet from the door “Remember that you weren’t there for your family when they needed, just like all the other times”

He didn’t turn around, just continued along his way. Tear filled Susan’s eyes once again.

OOC: It's ok. I have to work a double shift today. =\

Seeing all this happening, Calnux just sat back and watched. he didn't know who to side with. When Allenson walked off, Susan came back into the room, sitting next to jade.

"Excuse me ma'am. I don't mean to sound nosey or anything, but what the fuck was that? Could you explain to me what just happened? I don't think you need to hide anything from me, because I plan on sticking around for a while, if you know what I mean."

Shifting about her chair Susan tries to get more comfortable. “That? That was about a lot of things. But to put it simply, that was about duty”

Nodding, Calnux asks,

"Ma'am, you know I love your daughter right? I plan on helping her, and you also, through this. I'm not going to leave when she needs me. If you need to talk about something, anything, I'm here. You got something about your husband you want to say to me, you can trust me. I won't say anything to him. I hope to spend the rest of my life with Jade."

Calnux walks out of the room, and goes to find Allenson, hopeing he could find him. He saw him getting into the car, and yelled for him.

"Sir, I'd like to help. I believe the people that shot Jade also killed my friend. I saw him two weeks ago, and he was fine. When I went to see him today, he was dead, and as much as it looked like he had been there for a while, I doubt it. He would have held on long enough to say good bye. Soul Dan isn't the kind of person to do that. I want to help. Please sir, let me help. I'll do anything you need. Sure, I might not be from Tappee, but this is my problem also. I love your daughter, and as doing so, this is also my responsibility."

Calnux held the car door open, waiting for Allenson to tell him what to do.

"If you want to help, then that means that you wouldn't be there for
Jade when she wakes up. It's choice your going have to make soon I've got a plane to catch. If you want to help then get in the car"

Realizing he is right, Calnux lets go of the door.

"I should be here. If you need my help, call Jades cell, and I'll be there as soon as possible. Please, don't kill the people that did this. I want to have a few words with them, if you get my drift."

Shutting the door for Allenson, Calnux walks back to Jades room. He walks in tells Susan he offered his help but wanted to be around for when Jade woke up. Just as he finished, the doc walked back in.

"Well folks...."

OOC: Finish what he says.

“Well folks even though your daughter has woken up she not in the clear, not by a long shot. First of all there’s the chance of infection. We’ve given her a ton of antibiotics, but you just never know. With her weakened state she may not survive if she does get one. Second, we were able to repair most of the damage to the lung. However with this type of injury we were not able to repair all of it, there will be some scar tissue. Even with a full recovery there will be complications down the road. It could very from a decrease in the ability to do physical activity to needing to rely on oxygen therapy to breath. We’ll have a better understanding of what those complications may be as she recovers more.”

Susan nodded. “Thank you doctor” it was pretty much as she had expected. She had seen a lot of gun wounds during her time as a field doctor. But thing were different now that the patient was she own daughter. She glanced over at Calnux “I hope you in it for the long haul?”

Allenson was silent during the entire trip to the airport. He was running over every thing in his head. Today was one of those days that would throw even the strongest person for loop. He had been in many battles but nothing had prepared him for this.

He could remember when Susan and him had been rescued from Latitio’s bunker. They had promised each that they’d settled down, and try to be family for a change. And for a time it seemed that it was going to be possible. He had even promised to take Susan on a trip and get away from all this. But as all ways he had put work first.

Jumping thoughts Allenson thought back to memories of his father. His father had served in the Navy until his death. He didn’t have very much for memories of since Allenson was very young when he had died. However, he did remember that he was very patriotic, and was often gone out to sea for long periods of time. Allenson couldn’t help see the resemblance between him and his father. He had often wondered what would have happened if his father hadn’t died.

Realizing that he was getting away from the task at hand he moved his train of thought back to those responsible for this. It had all seen to easy. All the clue’s point towards Phobo. But Allenson wasn’t sure it was him. First Phobo wasn’t that sloppy to get caught on tape like that. Second of all according to Jade Phobo was dead. But it wouldn’t be the first time someone had faked their death to get by him, he wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice.

His thought were interrupted “Mr President, Eagle One is good to good, they’re just waiting on you sir.”

“Thank you, just give me a moment” Allenson sat there collecting his thoughts.

Nodding at Susan, Calnux says,

"Yeah, I told you, I'm sticking with her. I want to help her through this, and I told Allenson I was willing to help out. I offered to go with him where ever he was going, but he thought it best if I stay here with Jade. Tell Doc, is there anything we can do for her at this point?"

"All we can do for the momnet is to wait and see"

"Tll me doc, what kind of problems can we expect to see in the near and distant future with Jade?"

"We'll have to see what type of scaring there was"

Allenson reached into his pocket reaching for his cell phone. Flipping it open he hit the speed dial. The line wasn’t secure but it would do. He waited for the person on the other side to pickup.

“Anerton I need you to take this over.” He said to the person on the other side.

One his aid came over. “There still waiting for you sir”

“I know, but there’s been a change in plans. I’m going back to the Hospital”

Back at the hospital Susan had left the room to go get a drink from the pop machine. Normally she preferred water, but she hadn’t slept in nearly 30 hours and could use the caffeine to keep her awake.

This Calnux impressed her greatly. The two couldn’t have known each other for more then a few days, but yet he was unwilling to leave her side. It had reminded her of Smith and her. Even though it was forbidden for agent to develop feeling for each other, it had occurred anyway. However it wasn’t until nearly 30 years later that the two could finally be together. That though caused her to worry, If Jade choose to continue work as an agent her and Calnux may suffer the same fate as her and Smith. She rubbed her eyes trying to stay awake. She began to wonder how much longer she would be able to stay awake. Voices in the other hallway caught her attention. Looking around the corner she couldn’t help but smile as she seen her husband walk through the door.

Allenson had made his way over to her taking her to his arms, and holding her close to body. “I am so sorry you were right, I’m never there for you and Jade when you need me. But all that’s going to change.”

Susan looked up into his eyes “We where both right” a bit of smile came across her face “But I was more right” He couldn’t help but chuckle.

In the room Jade open her eyes. It took a few moments for things to come into focus. Voices could be in the background. Jade tried to move but the pain all over her body prevented it. Moving her eyes from side to side she seen Calnux take a seat by the bed side her.

“Calnux” her voice was muffled

Going over to Jade, Calnux hears her say his name.

"It's ok hun. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. What do you want to say love?"

Calnux lowers his head next to hers, so he can hear what she is saying.

"You look awful, it looks like you haven't slept in days"

Letting out a slight chuckle, Calnux gives Jade a kiss.

"I haven't but don't worry about me. Get your rest."

"Doc, is it ok if we tell her what happened? I mean, with the wounds and all?"

With the Doctor nodding, Calnux tells Jade about her wounds.

"They removed a bullet from your lungs. It had collapsed one of them. The bullet broke one of your ribs also. You have a broken arm, since you were shot there also. Your father has men out looking for the people who did this to you, and he isn't going to do anything to them till I have a few words with those people, right Allenson?"

Calnux looks towards Allenson, with a slight grin on his face.

"Jade, if there is anything you need, anything I can do for you, just let me know, ok hun? I'm going to stay here with you, so just ask."

When Allenson and Susan made their way into the room he looked down at his daughter who was now awake.

“You look like you’re in a lot of pain”

Jade looked up her father realizing that he had just entered the room. Like all the others he looked worried, and like he hadn’t slept in days. It was true, she was in a lot of pain, but then this had been something that she had been trained to handle. “I’ve had worse” she said. “Like professor Hilbert’s class for one”

Allenson smiled down at her “The counter interrogation at the academy isn’t what it use to be. I can remember when your mother and me attended. I think the that they are getting soft on you kids.” This was rare moment for his daughter and him, most of time their relationship was serious and centred around work.

Jade reached out for her fathers hand “I’m glad you’re here, but surprised at the same time. I’m sure that you have more important things do then worry about me right now.”

Letting out a sigh Allenson looked over at his wife then back at Jade “I’m sure that there are more important things for me to do, but as your mother reminded there nothing more important then family. I’ve got people that can take care of things for a while. As for the moment you just take it easy.” He reached up placing his hand on Calnux’s shoulder “Now that we are sure that your going to pull through your mother and I are going to get some rest, and leave you two alone for awhile. We’ll be back in the morning” With everything that he needed say being said he took Susan hand and the couple made their way to the door.

Looking over at Calnux Jade realized that it was just them “You know I had originally planed a better way for you to meet my parents, but I guess that this will have to do.” She watched as smile came across his face “you always seem to be there for me”

"How did you originally plan on me having me meet your parents? I'm curious. You think your parents are ok with us being together? I mean, we have only known each other for a short while. Your mother seems to like me though. God, I just want to get you out of here. Sorry, I just don't like hospitals. Brings back bad memories."

Calnux gets a chair and pulls it next to the bed, then reaches out to hold Jades hand.

"I'm glad you are awake. Now we don't have to worry if you are going to ever wake up again. You had us all worried. I can't lose you."

A tear rolls down his cheek.

She looks over at Calnux, it stii hurt for her to move. "Trust me I'm not going any where." She could see that he was visible upset "This was the life I choose to lead, I knew what the risk where. But now I'm done. I just want to be with you"

Looking up at Jade, he saw she was in a lot of pain.

"As soon as you get better, you and I are going to settle down."

Off the top of his head,

"Where do you want to live? On a beach, or on a farm maybe? City, or country? Want to have kids? How many?"

"The beach would be nice"

Calnux thinks for a second, then starts counting on his fingers.

"I could have a 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a patio, and a nice front porch done in a week. If you want, I could have it done before you leave the hospital."

Hearing footsteps, Calnux looks to the door and sees Allenson.

"You want to help me build us a house so Jade and I have a place to go when she gets out of here? You look like you are in good shape, almost as good as me." he says letting out a little snicker.

"If you were to help, we could have it done in 3 days. I've already looked at some land for myself to settle down on, and I've looked at some nice beach front land, so I've got the perfect spot. All I need to do is tell the man I want the land, it's mine, and build the house, which I already have plans for."

Allenson entered the room. “Sorry, forgot my coat” he pointed down at the coat lying on the chair beside the bed. As he was walking toward the door he had heard the entire conversation. That was one of the benefits of being an agent; you could easily listen in on conversation. He thought that it would be wise to address this now so ever one would be on the same page. “I couldn’t help but over hear.” He reached down a grabbed his coat. “So I take it you want out of the game.” He wasn’t sure if Calnux knew what he was talking about, but he knew that Jade did.

While attempting to sit up, Jade winched in pain “All things being considered, yeah, I think do.” She wasn’t sure how her father was going to take the news. But she knew that it was the right thing for her to do. Jade could only hope that her father would understand.

Letting out a deep sigh Allenson thought to himself for a moment, trying to decide what the best course of action would be. For a several moment he stood there just thinking. “Alright, given the nature of your injury I couldn’t in good conscience put you back in the field. However, I would like you teach at the academy.” He knew that his daughter could go sit behind a desk somewhere. “You can teach whatever you want, you’ve got more field experience then most, knowledge that could be passed on to other.” He glanced over at Calnux. He knew that this would be a decision that they would have to make together. “I’ll give you some time to think it over. Me and your mother will be back in the morning” Grabbing his coat he headed for the door.

Her fathers offer had caught her by surprise, she had expected more of a fight for her father in the issue of her quitting, she suspected that her mother had some hand it though. Teaching at the academy would still allow her to do what she enjoyed, but at the same still be with Calnux. Turning her attention back towards Calnus she decided what she was going to say. “I’d really like to take him up on the offer. As for the location of our home I’ve got some where in mind, if that OK.”

Looking back to Jade,

"Hey, you are going to be living in the house also. I think a teaching job at the academy would be nice. I guess the pay is good, and you could also be around your family. I'm going to uh, step outside for a moment."

Getting up from the chair, and grabing his cloak, Calnux walks outside. As he steps outside, a cool breeze flows over his body, and he feels relaxed. A faint voice is heard, and he knows he has heard it before.

"Calnux, you know she is the one. Do as she wants, and you will be happy. Jids and I are both looking out for you. Be at peace son."

A little confused on who was speaking to him, a man taps him on the should asking for a light.

"Did you just say something to me?" Calnux says, pulling out his lighter.

"Nah, I ain't said nothin'!" the man replies.

"Alright. Can I get one of your cigarettes?" he asks, lighting the mans and taking one of his own.

The tall man turns around, thinking about the voice again, when it speaks again.

"You know I didn't die on my own. You know this illness isn't what killed me. You know something the others done. I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye. I held on as long as I could. I heard you both outside, and I knew you were happy. I did what I did, and left. Do not be mad at me son. It was best you didn't see me the way I was."

Just then, he realized it was Soul Dan speaking, and he turned to his left. There he saw the man he called father, standing crying. As Calnux went out to hug him, the figure stepped back.

"I am but a spirit, come to guide you. You can't touch me, nor me you. I came to say what I must then leave. You HAVE to stay with Jade. No matter what she does or says, you must be with her. There are people that wish her not to be here, and you must protect her from those forces as best you can."

Calnux lowers his head and says,

"I've already failed that once! Because of my anger, Jade was nearly killed. I don't know if I can protect her. I love her though. I can't lose her. Because I love her, I will do everything in my power."

"If that is all you can do, then do it. Jids is looking out for you now. He sees how much you care about this women. He is done punishing you."

With that, the figure disappears.

Calnux, unsure of what he just saw or heard, finished the cigarette, then walks back to the room. Standing in the door way, he just looks at Jade in amazement. She sits in the bed, eyes closed, looking so relaxed. At this point, Calnux feels peaceful, and knows that things will be alright. Closing his own eyes for a moment, he still sees Jade sitting on the bed, but this time, she has a golden aura around her, the sign that Jids is looking out for her. Smiling, he opens his eyes and sees Jade staring at him.

Walking back into the room, he gives her a hug and kiss, and tells her how much he loves her. Calnux sits down and a tear starts to roll down his cheek.

"I saw Soul Dan outside. He told me he tried to wait for us, but someone wouldn't allow him. I believe the same people that tried to kill you killed him. Soul Dan was a loved man, had no enemies. There would be no reason to harm him. He told me that...nevermind. I shouldn't say anything, or it will be jinxed."

OOC: Sure, I suppose.

He knew he had forgot something. What was it? He got the sugar, the eggs, the milk, the bread, No bread. He forgot the bread. Oh well. He could always run back out later. As Calnux walks up the hill, he smiles, thinking about how happy his life is now. Jade and him have been together for 5 years and have a lovely 6 month old daughter named Makenze. They lived on the beach fron property that Jade had found. Allenson and him put the house up in 3 days. Jade still teaches at the Academy, and Calnux is a well known respectable man around the town.

As he walked over the top of the hill, he saw the most beautiful site ever. The women he loved was knee deep in the water of the ocean, holding Makenze just above the water line, then dipping her feet in, which caused her to giggle in delight. He just smiled, realizing that Jids had been looking out for him. Calnux walked up behind Jade and huged her.

"ANy pain today hun?" he said, putting his hand over the scar, giving it a little rub.

Making sure that Makenze was secure in her one arm she reached up and placed her hand on Calnux.s.

"Not today, the weathers been nice, so it hasn't been to bad. Did you get everything."

OOC: I've got a lot on my plate for the next few days, so I may not be very active.

Trying to avoid the question, he says,

"Good, glad you are feeling alright."

Giving her a kiss, he starts walking up to the house,

"We better get ready, your parents and my sister will be over in about 2 hours. We still need to make dinner, and I forgot the bread."

Calnux starts running into the house, followed by Jade and Makenze.

"Are you excited baby? You get to meet your sister for the first time."

Looking up at Jade,

"And I get to see her for the first time in, what, almost 130 years?"

She couldn’t help but shake her head; she had known that he would forget something. However, the bread wouldn’t she could simply call her mother and ask her to bring some.

“You miss her don’t you” Calnux gave her a funny look “Your sister I mean. 130 years is a long time.” Jade really didn’t know much about Calnux sister. In fact she had been surprised when Calnux had said that she would be coming for a visit. Truth be known she was rather nervous about the meeting, Jade had no idea how his family would take her. It was mainly the reason why she had asked her parents to come.

"Yeah, I do miss her. I thought I was the only one that lived, but she did also."

A few hours later, as Calnux was finishing up making dinner, the door bell rang. As he opened the door, his sister stood there. Not sure of what to do, he just stood there. Unknown to him, it had been raining for some time, so she was rather wet.

"I'm so sorry Blay. Come on in." Grabbing her bags, Calnux shuts the door behind her.

"It's so great to see you again." he says giving her a hug. "How long as it been now?"

"129 years. Damn long time. Too long. Not to be rude, but where is your bathroom? I'd like to freshen up before I meet your wife. I'm soked and all."

A little suprised, Calnux showed her the way and jokingly said, "Are you sure you're my sister? The blay I knew wouldn't worry about what she looked like."

Closing the door, Blay replies, "People change Cal. You should know that more then anyone."

The car came to a complete stop, by now it was raining hard. Allenson looked to his right to see Jade’s home. He could remember when him and Calnux had built the place, it had cost him a lot of money, but his daughter was now happy.

It was the stereotypical home. Like the ones you see in the moves. Two levels, a giant porch, with a rocking chair. There was even a white picket fence that enclosed the garden in the front of the house. The house was located in on of the few remain rural area’s of Tappee, most of the country was now urbanized.

Taking a moment he glanced at his watch, they where running behind schedule, some thing that annoyed him greatly. At Jade’s request they had stopped by the local store to get some bread, it wasn’t every day that Tappee’s president stopped in, so there was a bit of a local spectacle that slowed them down even more. He turned to Susan, “I’ll grab the presents for the trunk, I’ll meet you inside” Susan grabbed the bread from the back seat and made her way in. Allenson however went to the trunk grabbing a number of gifts that they had got for their granddaughter. By the time he joined Susan at the door he was soaking wet. Pressing the door bell the two waited.

"Here, let me help you with that. Thanks so much for getting the bread. Had a few things on my mind when I went to the store. Jade told you my sister is here, right? I want you two to meet her."

Right as he finished, Blay came into the room.

"Oh, come here. Blay, this is my father in law, and my mother and law. Allenson and Susan. Ma, Pop, this is my sister, Blay."

"Nice to meet you both. Cal here talks about you so much. The president and first lady, huh? Must be a tough job. I want to thank you both so much for helping Cal out."

"It's not a problem, Calnux has done so much for our daughter, we could never repay it"

Hearing her parents voice Jade ran down the stairs and around the corner. Susan face lite up as her daughter came around the corner. The two reached in a gave each other a hug.

“It’s good to see you mom.” Jade said with smile. Looking down at the ground she saw a number of wrapped packages. “What’s all this?”

A smile came across Allenson’s face. “Gifts for Makenze” He could see the expression on Jade’s face change “What, it’s a grand parents right to spoil their Grand Children. Where is the little one anyways.”

Jade crossed her arms “I’m afraid that her father spoils her enough” She glanced over at Calnux “She a bit of a daddy’s girl. Makenze was getting sleepy so I put her down for a nap. Anyways it always good to see you.” She noticed a brief case lying beside Susan. “Always working I see” she motioned toward the brief case.

Susan glanced down at the brief case “Yeah.”

Allenson put his arm around Susan “Hazards of the job I’m afraid” A concerned look came across face. “Your mother and I need to talk to you later, but not now.” Allenson smiled “For now lets just enjoy each others company.”

Jade could tell from his body language that whatever it was he was worried. There was telling what it was, but she decided not to push the issue. “Come on dry your self, make your self at home.”

A little while later they where finishing dinner, most of the conversation was just idle chat. It was getting late but there was just one thing that was still bothering Jade, she looked over at her father who was sitting on the couch. “You said Mom and you want to talk to me”

Letting out a sigh Allenson looked over at Susan who gave him an assuring node. “Yeah I think it’s about time. Can we talk alone?” Susan reached down grabbing the brief case.

Nodding her head Jade motioned for her parents to follow her, she lead them upstairs to the Library. After every one was in she closed the door. Jade took a seat across from her parents. “I know what ever it is it must be really important.”

Allenson sat back in the chair in attempt to become more comfortable. “Our forces are pulling out of Iaceo” He glanced at his watch “They should almost be out be this time”

A confused look came of Jade face “Why I thought that our forces where there to protect Iaceo, you know with them not having any military.”

Susan was the first to respond, “Just over a year they began training their own forces, the said that they wanted to become more independent. And to be honest it was costing us a lot of money to keep a garrison there, so we agreed to help them set up. Right now they got a small ground force, but it keeps getting bigger daily”

“Ok, I knew all this.” said Jade, she looked at her parents trying to figure out exactly what was going on “But I don’t really see what that has do with anything, so their on their own now I’m sure that Kao can handle being on his own” she was wait for her parent to drop some kind of surprise.

“He can’t” responded Allenson he opened brief case a tossed across the room to Jade “Those photo’s where taken a few days ago. Kao has been meeting with some people from the GDODAD.”

He was interrupted by his daughter “The GDODAD, but I thought they where gone.”

He nodded in agreement “They where, but now a few of their former members are trying to start again. They are trying to return the GDODAD back to it’s former glory. Kao has signed on.”

Jade shook her head in disbelief “That not the Kao that I knew. He hated dictatorship, under Iaceo he lost everything. This is not the Kao that I knew, he’d never do this.”

Susan glanced over at Allenson “Should we tell her”

Jade was getting annoyed by her parents avoiding the issue “Tell me what!” she barked out. “There is a reason why you telling me all this but you’ve been avoiding it. What is it”

Looking over at Allenson Susan decided to proceed. “Some time after Kao came to power he became emotional unstable. There was nothing that we could do, he was democratically elected by the people of Iaceo. It’s been getting worse over time. Just over a year General Heskel signed on with Kao. When that happened we began running background check for both men. Many large cash exchanges.”

By this time Jade was getting a bit of head ach “What was Kao paying him for”

Allenson let out a sigh “Each transaction took place exactly three month’s before a major political assisgnation”

“Ok when did these deposits start” asked Jade

Susan nervously looked over at Allenson then drew here attention back to Jade. “Three month’s before the Iaceo peace conference”

Those words hit Jade hard. Out of every possible scenario that had been the one she had least expected. The memories of that day came flooding back. She shook her head is disbelief. “No. I mean no. Your telling me that Kao was the one responsible for the assassination attempt on me. I know Kao, he couldn’t kill anyone him.”

Getting up off her chair Susan got up off her chair and then took a seat next to Jade “Given the history between the two you something like this is possible, and you know. Kao has become more and more unstable”

Allenson picked up from where Susan left off “He blames you and the entire world for what happened to him. He’s now taking steps to get his retribution. That’s why we think that he’s joined the GDODAD.” He allows Jade a moment to collect her thought. “We need you to come back, we need you know more then ever.”

Jade got a deep breath, she was having trouble breathing. Almost in an instant her world Was coming down around her. She could believe that it was Kao that had tried to kill her. Now her parent want her to come back work for the agency. Her thoughts first jump to Makenze, she was only six month old. Then she thought of her husband. There where some many things to consider. “I… I just don’t know”

Susan could understand her daughters reservations. “We are not going to ask you to do any field work. What we want you to is put a team together for the purpose of infiltrating Iaceo. We want you to pick a team from the academy. No know the landscape of Iaceo better then you, plus with you working at the academy you know the students. You’ll run the team from the chambers. Under no circumstance will either your father or myself will allow you to leave the country. Things in the world might get real messy in the near future, we need you help.”

Jade looked her mother in the eye’s “Give me some time, I’ve got to talk to Cal about this, it will affect all of us.”
“Sure.”

“Thanks mom” she wasn’t sure if she should have thanked her mother for giving her this burden, but at least she still had a choice “Well should we head back down stairs.”

With their conversation done the three made their way back down stairs.

When the three reached the bottom of the stair Allenson looked a t his watch. “Wow it’s getting late. Your mother and I should get going. I'm sure that Calun and you would like the time to catch up with his sister.”

Minutes later everyone was standing by the door. Jade reached in hugging both her parents. “It was good to see, I’ll call you when I make my decision.”

“It was good to see you too.”

Jade waved to her parents as they drove away. She put her arm around Calnux, and rested her head on his shoulder “I love you so much you that.”

"Hun, what is going on? What did they need to talk to you about?"

Jade lead Cal and Blay to the sofa and told them to sit down. As told them about what happened, and what they should do.

"Hmm, well, if you aren't going to leave the country, then why not? Jade, you have a passion for this kind of stuff. You can still be with Mak and I, and you still get to do what you love most."

"Sorry for the interuption, but I have the training to be able to do this. I mean, obviously I wasn't trained at the Academy, but I can fight. I've lead a few rebel forces to help over throw dictators. I know how to do things like this. I'd be honored to fight for that countries freedom."

"Blay, no, you can't. You don't know what you are getting yourself into. I trust you would get it done, but if you don't, you will have a bounty on your head till you died, and even after that just to make sure you are dead. This man is dangerous. Hell, look at what he did to Jade!" Calnux shouted.

"Excuse me? Are you my father? No! I'll do whatever the hell I damn well please! If I want to fight, I'll do it!"

"As your brother, I'm ORDERING you not to do this! I realize you want to help, but don't put your life on the line. You KNOW mom and dad would have said to sit your ass down, and now I'm telling you to. As the eldest in the family, you HAVE to listen to me." Calnux stood firm.

"Jade, if it is ok with you, may I take place in the operation? If I need to pass any tests before I can, I'll do them ASAP." Blay said, glaring at Calnux.

Letting out a little sigh, Calnux spoke.

"Fine, you want to do this, do it. I'm not going to stop you."

With that, Calnux walks outside into the rain.

There was a silence that settled in the room after Calnux left. Neither of the two women knew what to say each other. Jade thought to herself for a moment.

“I think that I should go and talk to him.”

She ran to the door, she could see her husband off in the distance. Forgetting to grab her jacket she ran after him. “Cal wait up” It didn’t take her long to catch up to him. “There’s more here then what I know about isn’t there?” She tried to give her husband a reassuring glance, but right now he looked rather upset.

Letting out a deep sigh, Cal lets out the truth.

"Our people weren't peaceful. We were a very violent race. We loved to fight, and to see the people we murdered. Blay and I were part of the best fighting family in the country. Once I got to an age where I was allow to battle, I decided I didn't want that life for my sister and I, so when we were out on the field, I killed as many of my clans men as I could and took her away from that life. I'm an exile. My parents are still alive, and all my of "friends." Blay went back to the life. She is a natural Gijan. She loves to fight. I hate it, and only do so to protect myself and my loved ones."

Turning to look at Jade, the tears where running down his face.

"Anything else you would like to know?"

She knew what it was like to have a dark past. She had done many dark things in her past all them related to her time in Iaceo. she knew his pain.

"I'm sorry" The last thing she wanted to was to hurt him. "You know that I would never do anything to hurt you. You and Mak are the most important people in life. Your sister has the experience that I need for my team, most of these kids are green, fresh out of the academy. However, if you tell me that you don't want you sister to have any part in this then I will tell her no, no matter how much she agues" She smile at Calnux "And you know how stubbrun I can be once I've made up my mind."

Walk over to Jade, he gives her a hug. It was times like this that he knew nothing would ever come between them.

"Blay has the expirence you need. She won't die. I know she won't. If she wants to do this, then let her. It's in her blood to do so."

Holding Jades hand, he leads her back to the house, to where Blay was sitting.

"Listen, you know how I feel about our past, but that isn't going to stop you from doing this. If you want to do it, do it."

Standing up, Blay walks over to Cal and gives him a smile.

"You know me too well Cal. Thank you." Looking towards Jade, Blay continues.

"When do I get to meet my squad? I'm guessing I'm in command, since you will be staying back at HQ. I'll need to asses and train them to my standards, if time permits."
